Description from the manager

The newly listed Pisani apartment is found in the Castello district, which is probably the least touristy area of the city. It is divided between the Arsenale, the largest naval complex in Europe in the medieval age, and the important monasteries in the north of the quarter. It was then modified in the late 18th century by Napoleon, who planned what are now the Bienniale Gardens and Via Garibaldi. In the last two centuries more land was drained at the eastern extremity of the district to form the now called Sant'Elena. Other attractions in Castello include the Scuola di San Marco, the Church of Santi Giovanni e Paolo, San Giorgio degli Schiav...Read more

      Great place to stay!

Left on 02/14/2013 for a stay in January 2013

We spent New Year's Eve in Venice and stayed in the property for 5 nights. The location was within walking distance of most places we wanted to visit and very close to markets and restaurants. The apartment contained everything we needed. We would stay here again.

Our group of seven could not have been happier with the accomoda

Left on 02/12/2013 for a stay in November 2012

The Pisani was well suited to our group. The accomodations were comfortable, clean, elegant and spacious - the kitchen well supplied with all our cooking & serving needs. The terrace proved popular in spite of the cool weather. Neighborhood shops, restaurants and bars were very convenient and well liked. We were pleasantly surprised to find the Biennale was just a short stroll through the park, itself quite a surprise in a city with a paucity of public parks.

We felt we enjoyed a really Venetian experience

Left on 11/25/2012 for a stay in November 2012

We were met bya friendly and helpful person who welcomed us warmly. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, well equiped and easy to negotiate - everything worked.

The location was first class- an easy walk to the centre of the city - great for the vaparetto. It was excellently placed for a bar - bottom of our staircase and good local places to eat.

I am using this company again - I can highly recommend them.

Brilliant location, extremely well equipped and stylish apartmen

Left on 11/13/2012 for a stay in November 2012

Booked this apartment through Truly Venice, they were so helpful from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble. When I saw the Pisani apartment on the website I thought it was so beautiful and stylish we would never be able to afford it but it was excellent value for money. It was spotless and extremely well equipped. The location was amazing and there are two bars at the bottom of the stairs we loved, we were met at the vaperetto stop by lovely gentleman who couldn't be more helpful with recommendations for places to eat and drink.
I had been told Venice was extortionate, doesn't have to be with the help we got. Go for a visit and use Truly Venice to help you. I went to celebrate my 50th birthday couldn't have done anything better! Brilliant!

The terrace is a rarity in Venice

Left on 09/23/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Five of us had a wonderful stay in Pisani, a three bedroom, three bathroom with a terrace. It was very spacious and airconditioned. Situated on via Garabaldi it was close to the vaperotto stop, a fabulous bar that served spritz and cicchetteria, and of course the wonderful patisserie that had the best gelati, and a supermarket.

Great property 10 min walk from San Marco

Left on 09/17/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We have booked this property for 2 couples and 2 kids and we were delighted by our stay and the quality of this property. It felt like we were having plenty of space with 4 bedrooms and a great terrace where you enjoyed our breakfast and drinks every day.

Bedding was very comfortable with 3 bathrooms to share with us. Great kitchen dining room with direct access to the terrace. The entrance of the apartment is totally private and you feel priviledged straight when you walk in.

I can't recommend enough this property if you have a large family or travel with friends.

Truly Venice is really my favourite agency in Venice. Next time, I will use them again for sure (next year more likely)

      Glorious!

What a perfect apartment for our family. There were six adults, one 11-month old, and the set-up could not have been more comfortable. And the terrace -- the perfect place for us to unwind after a long day of sightseeing, before heading out for dinner. Although the listing does not say so, you can see the water from the terrace, albeit a little sliver, but it is still the water. Between the terrace and the water is a lovely park, so the view is perfect.

The location is ideal, out of the tourist areas, but a mere 10-minute walk to St. Mark's.

When you arrive and leave Venice, we would advise hiring a water taxi, which the rental agent can arrange. When we arrived, we were picked up at the train station by the water taxi, and at the end of our stay, took the taxi to the airport. The taxi stop is right around the corner from the apartment, which saved us having to lug our bags too great a distance. Definitely worth the extra money.

Be aware that this is not an apartment for anyone with a physcial disability. Althouth you enter the apartment at street level, you have to climb a flight of steps to the apartment. We ar enot complaining. After all the pasta and gelato, the walk upstairs was just what we needed.

      Fantastic Stay!

Left on 06/22/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Pisani is a fantastic apartment! I traveled to Venice with my husband, mom, cousin, and two friends and we stayed 3 nights at Pisani. The apartment is very clean, very large, and in a great location. The bedrooms are large even for us standards. All of the bathrooms are large (one is huge) and with 3 bathrooms it is perfect for a large group. Each "couple" had their own bathroom and my mom and cousin even had their own rooms. The living room with the sofa bed is more like a bedroom. There is a door and closet and the sofa bed appeared to be above average with a thick mattress. This apartment is ideal for groups of 6-8 or groups with couples and singles. The decor was modern but had lovely antique furniture.

Our favorite part was the lanai. It was perfect for sipping wine and enjoying the evenings. The apartment is in more of a residential area by a large park with playgrounds. It was a fantastic neighborhood with lots of great shops, restaurants, and friendly people. It was away from the hustle and bustle of San Marco, but within close walking distance to everything and right by a vapparetto stop.

We booked through Venice Homes & Holidays (apartment is called the Ca' del ambasicatore) and Donatella was fantastic! She was very helpful and even helped us make private water taxi arrangements to the airport. We would definitely use them again.

Only comment, which really wasn't a problem for us, is the bar below the apartment. It is quite a hopping place at night so there are lots of people and on Saturday nights there is a live band, which was actually quite good. It wasn't a problem for us because most of the time we just joined the crowd down at the bar. Maximillion the bar owner was very hospitable. It was loud at times but all music needs to be shut off by 11:00 PM per Venice laws. The thick windows and shutters of the apartment block out a majority of the noise, but if you were in bed by 8:00 every night you might take ear plugs. As I mentioned, we had a great time and really enjoyed the evenings at the bar listening to the music and mingling with the locals.

Overall, a fantastic experience and I would (and have) definitely recommend this apartment.

This property far exceeded my expectations. The facility was laid out well and allowed for privacy when needed. The large patio was used daily for breakfast and happy hour. We spent time looking at the water and enjoyed watching the locals go about their daily life. The neighborhood was perfect as it was not filled with tourist. Bakery, restaurants, fruit vendors and shops were next to our apartment. We were a short walk to most attractions. I can't imagine a better place to stay for an authentic Venice vacation.
The property manager greeted us in a professional manner and made us feel welcome. The description written about the.Pisani

Eight of us stayed in the Pisani as we were all in Venice for a week for ourwedding. Our whole experience, Truly Venice, the apartment & and Venice ( La Serenissima) fulfilled and exceeded our wants, needs and expectations. All our wedding needs were catered for within the locale, eg hairdressers, chemist, bakers and local food shops & markets. In our party there were 6 adults and 2 children, each and every one of us loved the apartment, the locale and Venice itself. We all long to return and cannot rate our stay highly enough.

It looks good on the website but it is even better!

Left on 05/11/2012 for a stay in April 2012

We rented as a group of friends, two from the Chesapeake Bay and four from Cheshire.
We were prepared for disappointment as the descriptions seemed too good to be true. No disappointment, however.
An Italian train strike altered our arrival plans, but a change in meeting arrangements was quickly dealt with.
The appartment is simply stunning. Our expectations of the terrace were small. We were wrong. It is a lovely area and we had lunch here on most days.
      The art work is fascinating.
The rooms are airy and well proportioned. There's lots of space for clothes. The furniture is stylish (although one piece is surprising!) and the whole is exremely pleasing.
The bathrooms and kitchen are well designed.
Some previous guests had commented that the front bedroom was noisy. It is above a bar, but it is happy noise, which is inevitable in this busy environment and did not annoy- noise of Italians enjoying themselves, which did include tuneful singing into the small hours.
The appartment had everything we needed and was ideal for a group who wanted to shop in the Rialto market and cook at "home". The street has everything you could want. Good restaurants, bread shop, a morning vegetable stall, small delicatessen-type shops and a small but adequate supermarket.
      We will be back!

An excellent base to explore venice

We loved this apartment, a family of eight of us on out first trip to Venice. The agents were very good: arranging our transfer to and from the airport and meeting us on arrival. The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. The location proved an excellent base in Easter week when Venice was quite busy. Shops and stalls nearby supply all you could ask for with the baker, supermarket and the all important ice cream on your doorstop.

6 of us were staying at Pisani and we all enjoyed ourselves. The appartment was in a good location and was very comfortable and clean and was well fitted out. The local bars were very friendly. We were unable to get the Wifi to work and the heating system was rather noisy at times.
We would definitely return to the appartment and recommend it to friends (as long as they do not mind the live music from the bars!)
