Description from the owner

Cozy studio in the Giudecca, viewing the whole city of Venice. Living + kitchenette with a sofa bed, bedroom, bathroom, all in 36 M2! Recently and nicely renovated. Internet Wi-Fi and A/C included

The Giudecca was historically an area of large palaces with gardens, the island became an industrial area in the early twentieth century with shipyards and factories in addition to a film studio. Much of the industry went into decline after World War II, but it is now once more regarded as an exclusive residential area. It is known for its long dock and its churches, including Il Redentore.

      Great view in Venice

Left on 02/21/2013 for a stay in October 2012

Great place - had my home-brewed morning coffee with a view to the Venice sky line across the straight from Guidecca. The children loved it, when the huge cruisers came by, towering above us. Loved it. And there is a great coffee shop just 50 meters down the waterfront.

      Great stay in Venice!

Left on 02/11/2013 for a stay in October 2012

Marc's apartment was right on the water and we had a great view of the cruise ships every morning and night. It was much more peaceful that staying in Venice itself, and the water taxis were very easy to use and navigate between the island and Venice. The only small thing that I would note is that the apartment was a bit musky due to the dampness of being in Venice and my wife and I got a little sick. Overall, a great place to stay and we would rent again.

      Thank you!

      Warm Welcome! - Perfect Perspective!

Left on 02/11/2013 for a stay in January 2013

We knew that there would be some humidity issues in the apartment. But a very warm welcome, the technical equipment to keep things dry made the whole week an outstanding one. Having breakfast directly at Fondamente Giudecca in Marc's apartment is a spectacular experience! Thank you very much for adding to a really perfect stay in Venice!

      Heavenly studio with the view

Left on 04/26/2012 for a stay in April 2012

This must be the best studio in the entire venice area, because you can see the entire Venice skyline from its window! We were a group of 3 - my husband and I and my friend Tessa, who stayed 3 nights here. We spent most of our mornings just sitting on the breakfast table and gazing at venice through the glass window. Sometimes an enormous cruise ship will pass us and entirely hide the view, sometimes it is a black-and-gold gondola gliding smoothly over the waters. Honestly, we couldn't bear to leave the studio to go sightseeing into Venice! It was that good. With a view like that, who needs to wander all day on foot in the mainland, yeah? Taking a vaporetta pass is a must, as you need to get the boat to anywhere. But it is not an expense, but an experience, as the Vaporetta pass made things so much easier and comfortable (I don't understand people saying you can walk everywhere in Venice - I don't want to tire myself out if I'm staying only 3 days in Venice, I'd rather take public transport and see more). The studio is located very near the Palanca boat stop, a bank with aTM, pizzerias for all budgets, grocery stores, a church. The studio itself is fantastic, it is all neat and white inside, small kitchenette has everything for you to prepare breakfast or a simple meal, bathroom is right size and gleaming new (it does smell a bit, but that is how Venice is - Blame the ancient drains!) and the bedroom is compact and cozy, with lots of storage space. The only nitpick I have is may be this studio is less ideal for un-related adults purely because it is so cozy and intimate so it does not offer great privacy (even a sigh is heard clearly throughout the studio). So I strongly recommend it for singles or couples. Plus if you get a young crowd staying above, partying all night - like it happened with us - it may take longer to go to sleep! That said, I'D still stay here if I come to venice again - in fact, I would stay only here even if I come to Venice a 100 times :-)
