Die Wohnung sntsprach genau der Beschreibung im Internet, sie ist gut ausgestattet mit Wlan, Fernseher, Dvd-recorder und einer gut ausgestatten Küche, es fehlte nichts. In der Nähe befanden sich Lebensmittelgeschäfte, Restaurants und der Schiffsanleger der actv.
Der Vermieter holte uns am anleger Castello ab, führte uns in die Wohnung und erklärte uns sehr freundlich alle technischen Details - in Englisch und Italienisch (was wir sprechen).
Die Wohnung ist für einen aufenthalt in Venedig hervorragend geeignet, sie liegt in Castello etwas am Rande des Touristenrummels, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten von Venedig sind aber gut zu erreichen.
Wir haben die Zeit in Venedig genossen und werden gerne wiederkommen.

I cannot recommend this property more highly. Everything you require for a self catering holiday in Venice is provided in a central location. We were met by the friendly local representative of the owner, who guided us to the property and gave tips on local amenities. If we needed help during our stay, she lived close at hand and told us to contact her (this was not required).
The large flat is in a picturesque location by a canal in a local residential area only 6 mins walk from San Marco. Lots of good local shops, cafe and restaurants are within 3 minutes walk. Very quiet, very few tourists.
There were 4 in our party. The large spare bed is at the opposite end of the property from the bedroom and bathroom, so this was not a problem.
This was our second 1 week stay in Venice; if we come back we will stay at this property again.

We stayed in the apartment for four nights between the previous two reviewers. Wish it had been longer! The apartment is close to to San Marco but very quiet, with nearby food stores, bars etc. It is also spacious, nicely furnished and well equipped for cooking, washing etc. At the end of a month spent in Italy, we look back with great nostalgia to our stay in Venice. It is top of our list for a return visit. Guy and Mimi's hospitality were wonderful. Make sure to check out the nearby Maritime Museum if naval history interests you; there's a great collection from all eras.

If you want an authentic stay in a Venice apartment then this is the property for you. Located in Castello within striking disatnce of Piazza San Marco this apartment had evrything you need. We were met by Guy's assistant Mimi and taken to the apartment, shown around the area and had restaurants, shops etc pointed out. The accomodation is lovely with a large double bedroom and additional sofa bed. We stayed with our 2 boys aged 20 and 15 and were very comfortable in the apartment. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed at the apartment for 4 nights over Xmas. It is very well located, in 8 minutes you are in S. Marco square and 4 minutes to the vapporeto stop. It is a beautiful area of the city to walk around and get lost in the incredible Venice. The apartment is big, clean, had everything we needed. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and the supermarket is 2 minutes away. It is nicely decorated. The check in was very easy and quick thanks to Guy and Mimi's organization. We highly recommend this apartment.

The photos do not do justice to the apartment - it is really tastefully furnished, and very comfortable for 2 or 3 people. It is a little off the beaten track - which means that it is really quiet - and once you master the intricies of the alleys and squares and manage to find your way home - but the location is great. No shortage of places to eat in the vicinity - we particularly enjoyed an evening meal at Osteria Oliva Nera - not the cheapest, but certainly the best! A few minutes wqlk to San Marco, a bit further to accedemia or Rialto, but everything is within easy reach.

Well equipped, clean, very close to the centre of Venice yet out of the way of the main tourist areas. Good local shops and restaurants. We recommend it to couples or families. Booking was very straightforward and we always had a quick email response from Guy. Sonia met us as arranged and was really helpful and welcoming. The apartment was exactly as described, comfortable bed and spacious sitting room. We have booked again for next year.

Sorry it took me so long to leave a review.. The apartment is everything it says and more. Located in a quiet neighborhood but close to everything. Right on a canal and a small bridge. The apt. was spacious. It was a pleasure doing business with Guy and would recommend this apt. to anyone going to Venice.

This is a lovely apartment in a great location. It had everything we could possibly need and the owner was most helpful in recommending tours and restaurants. Our favorite restaurant, Osteria ae Spezie, was just a couple blocks away. The unit was clean and very nicely decorated. I highly recommend this apartment.

We really enjoyed Venice and the wonderful apartment and recommend the place for anyone. Sonia gave us a quick review of where to find everything within the place and the nearby facilites eg. restaurants, shops, sights etc. One bedroom 2 double beds were very comfotable and the self contained kitchen and table area great for a family. Location is charming and great for those who like to feel they are within Venice. We often had lunch at the apartment to break up visiting Venice on foot and water etc. Nearby supermarket convenient for all needs and fresh produce each day as required. Very close to St marks square but far enought away from hustle and bustle etc.

Una estancia perfecta en un apartamento verdaderamente delicioso.Situado a 5 minutos de la Plaza San Marco en plenas callejuelas(lo que al principio dificulta un poco la orientación)que le dan más encanto al lugar.Limpio y con todo lo necesario.Recibimiento del propietario amable y bueno y lo más importante con formalidad y puntualidad.Mi marido, mi hijo y yo hemos pasado unos días perfectos en Venecia gracias en parte a este alquiler, la pena es que como estaba casi completo la estancia ha sido corta pero volveremos.

The apartment is really nice and the location is strategic, absolutely perfect for a family (2 adults and 2 children) ! Ten minutes by feet to San Marco and five minutes from the nearest boat station. Windows looks directly on the canal and here you can breath the real Venice atmosphere. Listing description is accurate and everything was clean. Customer service was five star ! We were recieved at our arrival in the best way and we had a walk all togheter to San Marco. During this walk we had an history lesson about Venice and Venetian ! Finally we really appreciate everything and we would recommend this location to everyone !

The apartment was spotless and extremely welcoming. There were guide books, internet, and a variety of books, including a great children's book, available. Everything was in great working order. The sofabed was extremely comfortable and the location cannot be beaten: short walk from St. Mark's square, the vaporetto stops, the Rialto bridge, a ton of restaurants and shops, and a great grocery store. We were very grateful to be able to return to the apartment and enjoy a bottle of wine and a respite from the summer heat and crowds midday.
Although we arrived late due to traffic, host Guido was extremely welcoming and went out of his way to point out the best restaurants and attractions available. Guido even went as far as to provide bottled water and the kitchen was completely stocked with anything and everything necessary to make a great meal, from cooking and eating utensils, a variety of pots and pans, and even pasta!
The apartment itself is very spacious in a romantic and quiet neighborhood. We traveled as a party of four and cannot wait to return. We would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends. -

To make long story short, I just say, that apartment exceeded my expectations. Location is excellent. Although flat is about 7 minutes by walk from Saint Mark's Basilica and 12 minutes from Rialto bridge, the place is far away from the tourist conventional routes and is quiet enough to relax after daily crowds and noise.
Host Guido was very friendly and even able to answer on a bunch of stupid tourist questions about staying, moving, relaxing and sightseeing in Venice :)
If you want to see and explore Venice from inside ( like as locals ) you should stay in this apartment and enjoy magic of sleeping inside former XVI Century Franciscan Monastery .

Wonderful apartment with all comfort, new, clean and quiet, in the heart of Venice and able to get a true Venician experience. Right on the canal and close to everything it allowed us to walk pretty much everywhere we wanted to go and still come back during the day if we wanted to relax for a bit before setting off in a different direction.The great views of the canal below were a bonus. My personal favourite was being able to sit at the window and watch the boats and gondolas passing.Guido, the owner is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this apartment: if you want the 'Venice' experience, it doesn't get much better than this.
