This is a really lovely apartment, beautifully furnished, enormous comfortable double beds. It has a DVD player which I don't think is mentioned. It is very well located not far from the vaparetto stop and by direct boat from San Marco airport. We were met at the stop and walked to the accommodation. Everything we needed to know was explained. As our flight home was not until the evening we were able to leave our luggage at the Red House office. There was nothing at all to complain about. The views out to the grande canal were the icing in the cake.

CambridgeSuperb apartment on Grand Canal
Left on 01/23/2013 for a stay in June 2012
This apartment exceeded in many ways my expectation - it was soo large and with wonderful views onto the Grand Canal from main living rooms - there are two. Central - walking distance to many of the "tourist" spots, but with a lovely square for eating/drinking within 1 minute walk, plus excellent little mini supermarket - virtually on the doorstep and lots of other essential little shops for everyday needs. All rooms were large - only 3rd bedroom left a little to be desired - as in very little natural light and opened onto lounge/diner or window to "well". 4th bedroom (aka TV lounge) was nice too tho not huge either by compasion, had "walk in wardobe" with step up and through access to 2nd lounge - another very large room. Kitchen was well equipped but small - with opening onto internal "well" of tiny terrace - good for clothes drying! The entrance to the building is in a beautiful little courtyard, with direct access to the Grand Canal - through the very grand and impressive entrance way. Short walk from Vaparetto stop - so no probs about luggage - if you've got wheels on cases! Loved it and would highly recommend a stay here. Hope we will be back at some point.

Very pleased we rented this spacious apartment through Red House Company/Flipkey. Called the company on arrival at the airport and were met at the apartment by a super young guy called Pietro, who explained absolutely everything in detail (even where the fuses were in the case of electricity outages) which was great. The apartment is spacious, with lots of cupboard space, good linen, and quality appliances. We were only 4 people, but this apartment is well suited to quite a few more with no effort. The location is fabulous, a friendly deli/grocery store around the corner, an easy stroll to wherever we wanted to go, and the traghetto right there to get to the other side. Our teen girls loved to sit on the window sill waving at the "paparazzi" snapping their pics from the vaporettos going by...the bustling Grand Canal silent when you close the windows. A real highlight of our trip. Both the apartment and the rental company - highly recommended.

muensterIn the heart of Venice
Left on 08/15/2012 for a stay in July 2012
It is not easy to find a good place in Venice for a family with 4 kids. Hotel rooms are often too small, holiday appartments tend to be a bit ugly and cheap. Ca' Corner Gelthoff was the best place for our family. Quiet, but right in the heart of Venice, direct view to the Canal Grande - we could do some sightseeing in the morning, have siesta, and go on with our visits in the afternoon. Apart from that, the house itself is a wonderful architectural monument of this city. Everything could be done by waterbus. Little shops around the corner supplied us with whatever we needed.

Hong Kong, ChinaGreat place for large family
Left on 07/13/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Ca Corner Gheltoff is a great property that is as advertised on the Red House Company site. It is perfect for larger groups (we had 8 people, including 4 kids) who want a little more space than normal hotels (+cooking facilities) and who don't want to pay for 3 rooms in very expensive Venice.
Positives of the Property
1) Location is very good. Right on Grand Canal as advertised (view to right to Rialto), within 1 block of small grocery shop/nice local restaurant, and restaurants of local square. Rialto and San Marco 10 minute walk either way, or can take Vaporetto stop within 3-4 minute walk. Just far enough off main drag to get slightly more local
2) Big place with well stocked (but small) kitchen.
3) All modern amenities (wifi, AC, satellite TV, microwave, dishwasher, etc.), comfortable rooms, modern-ish decor (good mix of old and new)
4) Great value compared to paying for 3 overpriced Venice hotel rooms
5) Private dock so you can bring luggage directly into property if you take private water taxi (instead of lugging stuff around town)
6) Red House team very nice/efficient with check-in/checkout and arranging water taxis
Things to think about:
1) There are rules, but nothing overbearing
2) As an apartment, check-in/check-out times need to be planned (can't show up whenever like hotel)
3) It is not on top of toursit locations if that is a priority (but why?)
4) It isn't a hotel, so no gym, room-service, etc. - but again - why look for this in a Venice apartment?
All in all - the perfect choice for our family. We loved to view, the space, the quiet area, and the proximity to all of the major areas to browse in Venice... -

ParisExcellent place, escellent stay, excellent service
Left on 01/05/2012 for a stay in December 2011
The apartment is recently renovated, well equipped, very convenient and very well located (in the San Marco area between Rialto and accademia bridges, just few steps away from San Polo through the traghetto at the immediate corner with a grocery shop and restaurants nearby ...). The Red House Company management and staff was very pleasant and helpful all along our stay.

Pays de GexAmazing Palazzo on the Grand Canal
Left on 11/11/2011 for a stay in October 2011
This place was truly magical. It is a grand, one might say "palatial", apartment in a palazzo directly on the Grand Canal. It was very comfortably furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. Everything was sparkling clean. We had three large bedrooms, a tv room, two living rooms (!) and 3 bathrooms. We traveled with my kids (ages 6 and 7) and my grandparents. Everything about our stay was wonderful. Red House handed all our questions, gave us great restaurant recommendations, and made sure everything worked smoothly. The neighborhood is cute and quaint and about a 5 minute walk to the accademia Bridge and 10 min to either Rialto or San Marco. We loved it!

Left on 09/26/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We stayed 4 days and everything was perfect. Perfect situation, 10 minutes to San Marco, 10 minutes to Rialto and very close to the academy Bridge. Close to restaurants, shops and vaporetto.
The appartment is huge with an amazing canal view, we were 9 persons and we had no problem as it is fully equipped. Marco was very pleasant and gave us all the necessary information about Venezia upon arrival.
Fantastic stay at a very good price!!
