Cannaregio is the most Venetian populated area and it has very lively squares and lots of restaurants, groceries, supermarket and patisseries. The flat is in a quiet street. It is a ground floor 5 steps higher from street level, absolutely "high tides free" as above 2,2 meters from sea level.
The apartment is composed by a double bedroom a single bedroom with the possibility to add an extra bed and a single sofa bed in the living area. My family (group of 5) had an excellent stay at Ca' Dorina just before Easter. It is a lovely apartment and extremely comfortable. Two very nice bedrooms, two bathrooms and a comfy sofa bed. The kitchen is small but well equipped with good quality pots and pans (often not the case in rented apartments).
One of the best features was the location - in the Cannaregio area just close to Ca' d'Oro and the Vaparetto stop. The apartment is on a very quiet alley just of the main Strada Nuova and close to a large supermarket. You can also easily get to the Rialto bridge in 8 minutes and the fantastic market just over the Grand Canal. Walking to St Mark's would take approximately 20 minutes. Finally if you are going to the Islands or by boat to the airport it is less than a 15 minute walk to Fondamente Nuove
It's hard to find a fault but it I was being very picky I would say that there was not a huge amount of natural light because of the narrow alleys on either side and it is on the ground floor so if you want views of the Grand Canal this would not be right for you. Otherwise I would highly recommend the apartment for the quality, cleanliness, comfort and excellent service from Marco and Co at Red House. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Venice again.

My wife & I have recently enjoyed a week in Venice with our 11 year old daughter staying in Ca'Dorina. It is our 5th visit to Venice but the first time we have chosen to stay in an apartment & it was perfect for us, The apartment was in a wonderful location and is as just as nice as the pictures would lead you to believe, it had every home comfort you would expect & it also gave our daughter the opportunity to have her own bedroom & therefore her own space. We were also impressed with the service provided by the Red House Company, we made a phonecall from the airport & were then met at our vapporetto stop by Bruno who walked us to our apartment, showed us the facilities & then took the time to talk to us about our location & point out places of interest, supermarkets etc on a map he provided, Although the weather was a little rainy and we experienced the worst acqua alta we have seen (not good when we had to wade through knee deep water with our cases to get back to the alilaguna stop!) we had a fabulous time & would always book this apartment for any future visits.

No need to walk far for food shopping or to enjoy the local shops. The vaporetto stop is very close,this is a very big plus. Very clean and the quality of the furnishings is excellant. I have rented in Venice numerous times and this was the best apt.

We stayed in Venice for 3 nights and really loved this unit. It is superbly equipped and everything works beautifully. The location is fantastic and it is whisper quiet in the evening. I would highly recommend to anyone who doesn't mind the price point. The Red House service was also immaculate. The only negative was some very small scorpion looking insects which crawled out of the bidet from time to time.

Ca' D'orina was everything promised by the Red House Co's website & more. The apartment was very well set up with everything necessary for a week's stay in Venice.
It was fully renovated with beautiful ultra modern furnishings & fittings (including a very comfortable king size bed) and it was a really good size for our family of 4 (including our 2 teenage boys). As well, it was perfectly positioned in a quiet laneway away from the main tourist strips and frequented by local residents, yet only 10-15 minutes walk from all major attractions.
The many many hours of accom research that I did for our Venice leg was well worth it in discovering Ca' D'orina. The people from the rental agency, Red House Co (particularly Marco the owner and Gaia), went out of their way to provide us with a fantastic introduction to Venice and overall- a really positive client experience.
Would we stay in the same place and use the same company again? Absolutely! We loved Ca' Dorina. -
