The district's hub is Campo Santa Margherita, a long campo which fulfils just about every function of a public square: in the daytime you'll find a market, children playing, antique stalls, locals walking dogs, a supermarket and cafes. Everything about our stay in Venice was perfect and stress free. This was the first time I rented a vacation rental and I was surprised how smoothly everything went. Marcello gave us perfect instructions on finding the apartment (which is extremely easy to get to from either airport or train station). The apartment was spacious and cozy and has every amenity you could need. The location is by far the best, close to a grocery store, restaurants and attractions but away from crowds. Marcello was extremely kind and helpful during our stay.

from the first enquiry to the checkout the service was excellent. directions to the flat were clear and we arrived without any hitches. Claudia our greeter was very helpful and spoke perfect english (none of us spoke italian) The apartment was lovely, bright,comfortable and fully equipped. the beds were extremely comfortable(2 of our party have bad backs) the location was perfect,far enough from the centre to avoid the crowds yet close enough to get there on a vaporetto in 15/20 mins. The vaporetto stop is a 3 minute walk. There was a supermarket nearby and plenty of bars and restaurants. we really enjoyed our 3 nights and can´t wait to go back.

We spent a week at the Harmony San Basilio in Venice (an apartment in the same complex and with the same owner as this one) and can offer our highest recommendation. The apartment is newly renovated, wonderfully furnished and extremely comfortable. It was immaculately clean and was very comfortable for the two of us. The neighborhood is perfect. Out of the way of the main tourist hordes, but very convenient – a few steps from the vaporetto and grocery stores, close to wonderful squares (campos) and restaurants. The neighborhood was very Italian rather than touristy, and was clean, well lit and felt very safe. There are several apartments in the building and we are confident they are all terrific. Marcello was great to work with – emails were answered promptly and enthusiastically and he provided great advice for local restaurants. He accepts deposits by paypal, which for americans at least, is a great advantage, as it saves the high bank transfer fees. Next time in Venice we’ll stay with him for sure.
