Description from the owner
The most authentic Venice in the greenest part of the city center”….close to St Mark’s Square but far away from the crowd”….that’s how our Guests describe the apartment location. Imagine going to sleep on a bench in front of the Venice lagoon. On the left the Lido of Venice and the beaches, in front of the Island of St. Giorgio and Giudecca , on the right the Arsenale and St. Mark’s Square. Imagine waking up in the morning surrounded by meadows and trees just listening to the cry of seagulls. Now imagine that instead of the bench there is a spacious and bright apartment in a XVIII century home surrounded by greenery and with a...Read more

Additional Location Information
The island of St. Helena is actually composed of two separate islands, the ancient one, situated more to the east, where is the fifteenth century church of St. Helena and the prestigious Francesco Morosini Military Naval School, and the new one, which in the twentieth century is was built in the neighborhood and that previously housed a metal industry where they were made steamboats, railway cars and bridges.
At one time the area, which is located in the eastern part of Venice and is part of the Castello district, was completely separated from the rest of the city. To access would need to use a boat, now it is connected by bridges.
The name of the Helena was assigned from 1233 when he reached the tomb of the saint (see "The Legend of St. Helena") whose remains are still in the church dedicated to it.
From here all the main attractions can be reached with a 5 minute “vaporetto” ride and a short walk: St. Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge and its colorful market, the Biennale, the Basilica della Salute, the Arsenal, etc. .. Moreover, the beach of the Lido of Venice can be reached in 10 minutes. The “vaporetto” stop is just 100 meters from the apartment.

SofiaPerfect place

That was a perfect place with everything that you need and more.
We've been in this apartment for 4 days and we did not want to leave it. The location is great - there is a supermarket a minute walk away, bars and of course the San Marco square (15 min walk).
Guido was very kind and hospitable. He answered all our questions and told us what we need to know about our vacation in Venice.
Perfect place to stay in the most wonderful city :)
We can not wait to go back. -

Seattle, WA USAA perfect getaway
Left on 11/30/2012 for a stay in November 2012
I recently had the opportunity to spend one night in this two bedroom, one bath apartment in S. Elena.
It is a beautiful well equipped apartment in a quiet area. Perfect for relaxing after a day visiting all of the must sees of Venice. The first thing you see as you come into the entrance way is out the back door to the private garden. I was here in November. It must be magnificent in summer...just the place for an alfresco meal at the table for six. And also perfect for escaping the crowds and heat that can be in Venice in the summer.
The two bedrooms are separated by the central hallway making it perfect for couples traveling together or families. The large bathroom has a tub/shower combo.
There is a well equipped eat in kitchen as well as dining for four at a nice table in the living room.
My only regret is that I did not have enough time to take advantage of every thing this beautiful apartment has to offer.
Guy is your charming host and more than willing to answer all questions...no matter how inane or how many times he has answered them before.
Yes, I would return and recommend this apartment to my friends...in fact I just did.
By the way...if you are looking for the cutlery...it's in the drawer in the kitchen table.

We enjoyed too much at the Lagoon Paradise, the apartment is very beautiful and comfortable. Guy the owner is very kindly and gave us a lot of information about Venice. The position is very good: closed to everything but at the same time very quiet. The apartment has a wonderful sight on the Venice's Lagoon but above all has a very nice garden where we loved to relax ourselves in the night after a day around the magic Venice.

LondonA special apartment
Left on 10/17/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I've been in this apartment for 3 days and I loved it! it's very spacious, with a private garden (very hard to find in Venice, never found in my previous vacations!) and Guido is very kind and gave us precious tips. Very close to all the main sights, expecially to the Biennale. Supermarket a minute walk away, and some good local bars and restaraunts. I recommend it to everybody, I will definitely stay here again if I return to Venice!
