The flat at the Pugni is on the third and last floor of an old building opening on the Rio Terà, while the windows open onto the beautiful Campo Santa Margherita, a market and meeting place at the heart of the Sestiere Dorsoduro. It consists of a dining-living room (with separated kitchen area), two double bedrooms (one with twin beds, one with double bed and chest of drawers), and a bathroom (with shower). The décor is traditional and elegant, typically Venetian, embellished by the wooden beams of the ceiling and enjoying a wonderful view from the windows.

The part of the town in which Ai pugni Apartment is situated (Dorsoduro- one of the six “quarters” of Venice) is very well known and loved by Venetians and Visitors alike both for its wealth of historical monuments and attractions and for the fact that it remains a genuine “lived-in” area of the city. Furthermore, the convenience of this area to the main entry-points to the city combined with its handy access to the hub of the Grand Canal (between Rialto and the Accademia), makes this area a strategic point for those who wish to experience an authentic taste of what Venetian life really is in the heart of this city.
The apertment itself gives onto the Rio tera’ dei pugni and the Campo dei Carmini - part of the famous Santa Margherita area, much frequented by Venetians and young people thanks to its numerous Cafés and open-air restaurants and its genuine vitality.
The area is also very well served in terms of facilities; Chemists, Banks, Post Office, Supermarkets and specialist shops.
From the cultural point of view, apart from the School and Church of the Carmini (works by Tiepolo,Lotto, Cima da Conegliano….) one is very close to the Cà Rezzonico museum of 18 th Century Venetian Arts, The Accademia Gallery, Palazzo Grassi, The Peggy Guggenheim Collection- and many others within a brief walking distance.
These include the Basilica of the Frari with its extraordinary Tiziano and Bellini, The School of San Rocco (Tintoretto) and The Church of San Nicolò dei Mendicoli.
It is also handy for the Rialto or Saint Mark's- either on foot or by public transport. (There are boats every 10 minutes).

Ai Pugni has all the you could require to help you enjoy your visit to Venice. Communication with anna was excellent.There was no problem in finding the apartment as we were met in Campo Santa Margherita which is very close to ai Pugni. The apartment is situated in a very pleasant area; close to excellent restaurants and bars. It is also only a five minute walk to the Ca'Rezzonico vaporetto stop which is very convenient. I would not recommend the apartment for elderly people as it three flights up which could be a problem.

We stayed with our 7 yr old daughter in this apartment for 4 nights in april and had a really great holiday. The apartment is at the top of quite a few flights but was spacious, comfortable and attractive. The owners had thought of everything with DVD player, towels, microwave etc. all provided. There is a bakery almost outside and a supermarket/deli a few metres from the front door, with a floating market for fruit and veg about 50m away. We loved the Dorsoduro district and visited the accademia, Guggenheim and the Ca Foscari museum, which were all wonderful. Highly recommended!

We have stayed in Venice a few times but this was the best accomodation yet.
Easily accessed from the station (a short walk through the winding streets), Ai Pugni was a delight to find. We couldn't believe how central the apartment was! Everything was within a short walk. This is truly in the very heart of Venice! Bright and roomy, clean and well equipped, the apartment had everything to ensure our week was perfect. The two bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The children had two single beds in their room. We had a comfortable double in our room. We had an amazing view from the window over the rooftops of Campo San Margerita, which is a really nice part of Venice. The owner, Anna, the owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome. Venice is quite expensive and so we ate in a couple of nights. The kitchen had everything we needed to make an authentic Italian meal! With a few candles, the apartment was very cozy. After eating, because the location was so good, we were able to amble through the cobbled and narrow streets, admiring this beautiful city. You are close to the Vaporetto (the water bus). We recommend you explore the island of Veneto.
All in all, this was a superb holiday mainly because we had a superb place to stay. Thank you, Anna. We will definitely be booking with you again. -

Abbiamo affittato l'appartamento per tre settimane. Lo conoscevamo già perché lo affittiamo da diversi anni: elegante e confortevole, luminoso e centralissimo.
E' all'ultimo piano (senza ascensore). Dalle finestre c'è una bellissima vista sui tetti e i campanili di Venezia. E' molto silenzioso anche se si trova accanto a Campo Santa Margherita (piazza animata, con caffé e ristoranti aperti fino a tardi) ed è a pochi passi da una fermata di vaporetto.
E' un'ottima soluzione per visitare Venezia.
