Probably the brightest in our portfolio, this newly restored second floor apartment is extremely well equipped. Ample windows on both sides and high ceilings ensure an extraordinary quantity of light. Traditional Venetian architectural elements such as wooden beams and terrazzo flooring have been expertly blended with fresh and elegant contemporary style furnishings.

Cornaro is a very nice apartment ideal for a family of four. It is positioned on a quiet laneway and only a minutes walk to the essential shops (grocer, baker, etc). And it was an easy 10 minute walk to St Marks Sq and other attractions. Cornaro is well equipped for self catering and all essential needs. Whilst it is at the top of three flights of stairs the only two criticism is that the second bedroom was difficult to cool during the hot weather we experienced; a fan would have assisted to move the air-conditioned air into this room. Otherwise it is very comfortable and Cornaro is on our list to stay at next time we visit Venice.

We enjoyed the light and airy apartment with its well equipped kitchen, walk-in wardrobe in main bedroom, attractive decor and pleasant neighbourhood. It was close to bakeries, fruit stall, post office, restaurants and the supermarket near the Ospedale vaporetto wharf was only a short walk away. Although generally quiet there was some noise from the rebuilding nearby and the stonemason's workshop opposite. Hanging the washing outside the windows on the pulley line was interesting as there appeared to be no way to retrieve anything you dropped. We also found that a few annoying mosquitoes were able to get in while the screens were open.
