The service we received was good after a few initial hiccups due to catching the wrong vaporetto.We loved the residence, compact, but well planned and excellent for 2 people. The location was magical. Although warned that we might tire of the songs of the gondoliers, we really enjoyed the atmosphere created by them. The location was excellent, in a quiet corner and yet close to the action, perfect for exploring Venice by foot. Although a bit close to Sam Marco, we were able to avoid the crowds and were in close walking distance to Dosoduro and San Paolo, magical places with wonderful art galleries, book shops, food and restaurants (not too expensive)and music venues. We also had easy access to the Biennale, which was very exciting. We loved being able to explore and 'get lost'. There was always a surprise around a corner or across another bridge. Finally, taking leave by ferry to the airport is the best way to go!
