Summit, NJ, USAGreat location, top quality palazzo !
Left on 05/09/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Our family of eight ( ages 8-72 ) had a great time in Venice living in Mocenigo. It is spacious and right above a nice quiet canal favored by gondoliers. It's up about 40 stairs, but this gets you enough above the busy calles. The entrance is on a small unimpressive courtyard, but there is a nice little health food store there as well as a wonderful restaurant. It could not be more centrally located.
Most of the rooms are spacious (kitchen small but fine.)
Pictures accurately show what it is like.
Truly Venice people were always helpful. -

Corte Madera, CAConvenient, comfortable and perfect for the 6 of us.

Mocenigo met all of our needs: close to La Fenice, to food shopping, and to the Grand Canal for walking trips to other areas. It was comfortable, spacious, well appointed, and the kitchen was pretty well supplied for all of our cooking (including Thanksgiving for 7!). We highly recommend it.

montville, nj usaMocenigo apartment in Venice --- perfect location!!
Left on 02/21/2013 for a stay in September 2012
Three couples shared this apartment for 3 nights in Sept, 2012 and you couldn't ask for a better location in Venice! Less than 5 minute walk to St.Marks and waterfront, 10 mins to Rialto Bridge. Beds were very comfortable and apartment was very clean. The rep from Truly Venice met us at the water taxi (near Rialto)and, after a easy walk with rolling luggage, checked us in quickly and easily. Older travelers should be aware that this is a third floor walk-up...so getting the luggage up and down might be tough if you're not fit enough to do it. But the location can't be beat...right above a small grocery market, shares a piazza with a terrific restaurant, and a short walk to everything you want to do in Venice! Even a great canal view with singing gondoliers passing by quite often! If you're looking for 40" lcd tvs and room service this place is not for you, but if you want to get the most out of a stay in Venice and need accomodations for 6 or more people this apartment is perfect!

Got eaten alive by Misquito's. I ended up with with a swollen eye.
The kitchen in the apartment is very small, and the beds were uncomfortable. I would not stay here again or recommend.

I would thoroughly recommend Mocenigo apartment. It was about 5 mins walk from St Mark's Square, but in a lovely quiet courtyard with an amazing restaurant a stone's throw away opposite the building. It was amazingly spacious and authentically decorated (chandeliers, murals on the ceiling, antique furniture) and comfortably slept 7 adults during our visit. The service from Truly Venice was second to none. They were incredibly responsive and went out of their way to accommodate our requests, including finding a nearby hotel to store our luggage for the day after we checked out. I couldn't recommend Truly Venice and Mocenigo apartments strongly enough.

Excellent service prior to and during stay. Home very comfortable and elegant. Loved the central location close to St Marks square, yet still peaceful. Enjoyed the singing gondoliers passing under our windows at night. Only draw back was the inability of the electrics to take all of the air conditioners when house is full. Thank you for a wonderful stay, it was magnificent.

Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in June 2012
A very spacious apartment with three bath rooms and three baths located in an amazingly quiet area but just a few minutes from all the major sites. It comes with a fine kitchen and laundry. And the three great surprises are:
- the gondoliers serenade you from the canal below the living room window
- there is a marvelous and very highly rated restaurant ai Mercanti in the court yard on which the building faces
- there is a green grocery store also in the adjacent building so that you can get all the supplies you need for cooking or whatever.
We spent two weeks in Mocenigo and enjoyed every minute! -

Left on 05/26/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Efficient service by the Truly Venice team. A lovely and (generally) quiet outlook. The only disturbance was a fleet of 35 gondolas full of Japanese, singing 'O sole mio'! Very convenient mini-market just below. Modern kitchen. Easy distance from St Marks, Academmia and Rialto (and the fish/veg markets)

I booked this apartment for a yoga ladies retreat. It was very spacious, not only to do yoga, but also slept us very comfortably. We cooked in and found everything we needed in the kitchen, and was lovely to eat in the dining room. As the weather was very warm, we were able to open the windows or sit out on the balcony and listen to the singing gondoliers below. Tha apartment is perfectly located, just tucked away on a little square (not noisy at all), yet equidistant between St. Marco Square and the Rialto bridge. If you want to feel like you are really living like a Venetian, and not a tourist, this is the place to be. Also the management people were very helpful on our arrival. A thumbs up for sure!

Left on 02/27/2012 for a stay in February 2012

A water taxi was organised to pick us up from the airport. Upon our arrival via water taxi to a location near the apartment, we were met by a friendly representative who took us to the apartment. The apartment is spacious and was large enough for our group of 8 people to be comfortable. The location of the apartment is fantastic as it is central to many popular Venetian sights. It overlooks a small pretty canal. The kitchen and the 3 bathrooms were clean.

Very Central position - easy walk to all attractions. Beautiful apartment that met all our needs. Wonderful decor.. enjoy the Gondolas serenading in the evenings right below your window. Staff very very friendly and very helpful. Met all you needs. No kettle - it was there the very next morning - a weekend morning at that!
I would stay here again and recommend it to all our travellers. Definitely a superb apartment that fulfills it's advertising. -

NottinghamGreat family Holiday in Venice
Left on 09/05/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We rented the Mocenigo for 2 weeks in august had a great time. Within our party there were 4 adults and 3 teenagers and we had more than enough room to spare. The appartment was ideally located for getting around the main attractions of San Marco which was great for our mothers who are both over 65 and appreciated the ease of getting to the heart of the city. It was a great place to be and we really picked up on the local atmosphere.
Letizia, The Truly Venice Rep, was great and ensured we all arrived OK and was extremely helpful and took her time showing us around the apartment - even though we arrived late at night. I would certainly use Truly Vencie again. -

ZurichA truly Venetian atmosphere with first rate service and comfort
Left on 05/09/2011 for a stay in January 2011
The apartment is well located in a central, colorful area of Venice only minutes from St. Mark's. It represents the traditional "Palazzo-like" atmosphere with its spacious and traditionally furnished rooms (3 double bedrooms/ 3 bathrooms and a very large living room). The service requested in addition was of excellent quality/price performed by competent and friendly staff.

The apartment was fantastic, 5 bed rooms and lots of reception area, the location could not have been better and the building was full of charm and character, sadly there was little or no service! We had arranged a late arrival at about 10.00 p.m. and the person who showed us in did not know a lot, there was no food or water in the kitchen, which I was lead to believe there would be the basics, we stayed for 5 nights with no change of towels and the dishwasher did not work and was fixed on our last day. Venice and the apartment were fantastic and all my guests and myself had a great time, but there was no service! For the price I paid I would have expected more towels and a cleaner at least once or twice throughout our stay.

Arlington, VAThe Heart of Venice Beckons
Left on 04/22/2011 for a stay in March 2011
I had the pleasure to visit Venice with seven other friends and stay in Mocenigo for two weeks in March 2011...one of which was during Carnevale. This apartment is ideally located in the heart of Venice. St. Marks, Rialto and accademia are all just a short 5 minute walk away.
The apartment is spacious and quite comfortable. If you are arrving by plane in Venice, I highly reccomend booking a private water taxi and having the Truly Venice rep meet you at the dock.
There is so much to see and do in Venice and two weeks was barely enough. Among the many highlights from our vacation included: dressing up in costumes and masks for Carnivale, a night at the opera at La Fenice, shopping the Rialto markets for fresh fish and vegetables, Ash Wendesday services with the patriarch at Basilica San Marco, watching glass artisans at work in Murano and getting a private tour of the museum quality glass work, the pastries at Tonolo and Rosa Salva, Scuolo San Rocco and the Tintoretto paintings, live music at Osteria San Marco wine/jazz bar, the Doge's Palace, and day trips to Padua, Bassano del Grappa, and the wine regions of Soave and Prosecco.
For anyone wondering what its like at Venice during Carnevale time, all I can say is that, while it will be crowded, it's a lot of fun and a unique time to visit this beautiful city.
I'm only wondering when I can return!
