On strolling through Venice have you ever wondered what secret gardens lie beyond those tall Palazzo walls where trees and shrubs peek tantalisingly over the ancient terracotta brickwork? Well now you can find out!

Ca’ Cerchieri 1 is a quiet and charming apartment on the first floor of an impressive Grand Canal Palazzo in the Dorsoduro area with private water access and views over the owner’s private palazzo gardens.

The apartment is simply and elegantly furnished and features a cosy living area facing the palazzo gardens, a further small living room with two single beds, a fully equipped kitc...hen, a master bedroom with king size bed, and a bathroom with bathtub.

The Palazzo Loredan Dell Ambasciatore, in which the apartment is located, is one of the finest palazzi in Venice and is in a fabulous position on the Grand Canal situated between the Accademia Bridge and Ca Rezzonico Museum of 18th Century Art. It has a long and varied history as you d expect from a palazzo which was the birthplace of not one but two ancient Doges of Venice Leonardo Loredan (1501-21) and Francesco Loredan (1752-62)If only walls could talk!

The delightful local neighbourhood around Campo San Barnaba (location of a number of well known film scenes think Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade and Summertime) is a joy to explore with its bars, restaurants (several along Calle Lunga San Barnaba), craftshops and food shops (including the long-established fruit and vegetable boat moored on the canal).

ALL VIEWS ON VENICE RATES, IRRESPECTIVE OF LENGTH OF STAY, ARE FULLY INCLUSIVE OF ALL UTILITIES* - gas, electricity, bed linen, towels, final cleaning, welcome on arrival and check-in up until 7.30 p.m.** are all included, as are air-conditioning and internet access if available at your chosen apartment. And while the Venice Tourist Tax*** is an extra on bookings made on or after 8th May '13, there are NO HIDDEN CHARGES.

Rentals of over 7 nights also include a weekly bed linen and towel change during your stay.

* Telephone charges, where applicable, are extra.
**Arrivals between 7.30 p.m. and midnight incur a late arrival fee of €50, payable in cash upon arrival.
*** Introduced by the City of Venice Council on stays at hotels, b&b;, campsites, apartment rentals etc., this per night/per person tax is levied on the first 5 consecutive nights of a client’s stay in Venice and is payable to your Views on Venice representative in cash (euros) upon arrival at the apartment.

The Rental Deposit (40% of the rental) will be debited from your credit card when you finalise your booking with us, while the balance will be debited by you through our credit card payment gateway at least 20 days prior to your arrival. Note that if paying by bank transfer, an extra €20 administrative fee will be charged to each transaction (i.e. deposit and final payment). Click here for further details regarding payment.

The Security Deposit (the amount specified alongside the apartment rate) is required against any breakage or damages to the apartment or to its furniture and equipment caused by the client during the rental period. This is payable to Views on Venice upon presentation of your credit card upon arrival at the apartment prior to occupancy.
Credit card details will be automatically recorded and subsequently cancelled by Views on Venice on the day of departure should no breakage or damages to the apartment or its furniture and equipment have occurred during the rental period.

  Very good, basic apartment. We stayed here with 4 persons during the marathon of Venice. Not very much space, but enough. Good value for money (we chose this option instead of a hotel in or outside Venice). Nice authentic restaurants are located nearby. Very pro-active help and support from the people of viewsonvenice.com. Highly recommended if you're looking for a stay in the heart of Venice for a reasonable price.

  The apartment is perfect for us as it offers the tranquility and relaxation that a great location in Venice should. The people at the agency are wonderful to deal with, and as for the last five years I will count on them for providing perfect accommodations. The photos on the website are accurate and the online booking is easy and reliable. What could be better ? Hopefully we can do it again next year.

  the Ca Cerchieri was in a fabulous location on the a line vaparetto of the grand canal, but tucked away from the main tourist traffic. A gorgeous old palazzo filled with charm and history and loads of character Only 2 minute walk to the San Barnaba square with its lovely cafe's and patisserie etc.and 5 mins from the fruit & vege boat, and the local supermarket. We stayed 4 nights, in this quaint but spacious apartment, and I wish it had been longer. The staff at views on Venice could not have made it any easier-meeting us at Ca Rezzonico wharf and walking us around to the apartment and going through all the local points of interest and directions on the best "non tourist" way to do and see things was wonderful.We will be back, and we will stay in the same area with Views on Venice because of the location of their properties as well as their genuine interest in making sure we had the best Venician experience possible. note to all visitors: we made sandwiches & bought a lovely bottle of local wine, and walked out the front door of the palazzo & sat on the jetty at the front on the main canal, and watched the everyday life of Venice go by. The things you will see here you will never see anywhere else in the world, and the sunset from this vantage point was to die for.

  This apartment is very well maintained. Everything was in perfect working order, it was clean and ready for us when we arrived, unlike other apartments elsewhere . It is not luxurious, but comfy. This place has no hidden flaws. The location is fabulous and of all the rentals I have had I like this one the best. The rates are reasonable, especially for the location and for Venice.
