Great location, well equipped
We stayed for two nights in September 2011. The apartment is spacious and in a fantastic location away from the crowds, but close enough to walk everywhere and next to vaporetta stop San Samuele. We were met from the water bus by a representative from Views on Venice who was friendly and helpful. The apartment has excellent facilities for self catering, with a washing machine and everything you could need in the kitchen to prepare your own meals. The terrace is perfect for relaxing from the heat of the day. The bathroom could use some updating, but the rest of the apartment is excellent.

and as a bonus: the best espresso on the Campo di San Stefano
14 days in Venice...a wonderfull experience. We enjoyed our mornings on our own perfectly situated terrace. A great little shop nearby had to offer everything and more for our breakfast. Then the best espresso-start on the Campo di San Stefano/ corner Calle dei Frati. In the afternoon we visited every insula in the lagoon and roamed " all" the streets of Venice. On our terrace we came to rest with a bottle of Veneto-wine. After that I could not resist the temptation to to walk to the Piazza San Marco through some lovely streets with beautiful shops before we left our apartment for dinner in one of the fine restaurants of Venice. We loved to walk around the city in the evening after all the day-visitors had left.
To be short: a fantastic stay in the most beautiful city in the world.

Ca Grassi 3 is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is also in a location which is far enough away from the tourist trail to be quiet when you want it, but close enough to many of the major tourist attractions and a vaporetto stop to make getting anywhere a breeze. We also recommend using the traghettos - a cheap and fun way to cross the Grand Canal.
There are quite a few steps to negotiate to get up to the apartment and the ceiling height is reasonably low in the bedroom, but neither of these detracted from our stay. Indeed, after some very good meals it was good to have the exercise to get back up to the apartment.
The little balcony was enjoyed frequently at the end of a long day's activities, when we would enjoy a glass of wine and reflect on our day. We have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to others. Views on Venice were also most helpful in both their greetings and with any other enquiry we had. Thank you so much to everyone who made our stay in Venezia so memorable.

Ciao Greg and Kate
Thanks so much for writing it, I'm really pleased you enjoyed Ca' Grassi 3 and the San Samuele neighbourhood (not too busy but with everything needed close at hand - the best of both worlds!) Also glad you had fun on the traghetto! Hoping that we see you in Venice again in the future and with our best wishes to you both.
