The Manin is where you want to be in Venice! Managed by Truly Venice, from check-in to check-out, it just doesn't get an easier. Loved the terrace area, and even just sitting by the window at dusk, after a day of sightseeing, I could have a glass of wine and watch/listening to the gondoliers pass by. Many times tourists waved up to me at the window cheering "Buonasera!" Close to everything you need including the supermarket! I'm staying here again when I return to Venice. Highly recommended.

a lot of stairs, 16 + - to get to the apartment, down the stairs and
up another 4 to the outside patio - which was wonderful and on the
canal. We grabbed a bottle of wine every day and sipped on wine
listened to the gondolas go by and heard the church bells rining.
Wonderful!

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful building. Air conditioning was fabulous. Wifi internet, awesome. Very close to San Marco square and to the San Zaccaria water bus stop. A great value.
Just far enough away from the main tourist draws to not be (too too) touristy. Just close enough to the same to provide very easy access. Quiet alley. Sometimes punctuated by serenading gondoliers.
Operated by Truly Venice. Excellent and friendly staff. Good English language skills. Offered local tips for shopping and dining.
Negative points: wifi did not work in the loft where the bed is. An issue if you like to use your laptop whilst lying in bed, otherwise, no problem. Shower was small, but this is Venice, and almost every place will suffer this complaint. -

The apartment was well located - close to San Marco and the vaporetto stops, but on a quiet street that gave some space and a break from the very busy tourist spots. The apartment was clean and well set up, had everything we needed for out one week stay.

My only complaint is that the internet didn't work the entire time we were in the apartment. When booking the Manin apartment, internet was one of the factors for my confirmation. With no mobile or phone working for us, it was hard for us to contact people without the internet for work purposes.

From the door leading into the bulding to the apartment itself, the building is very well-finished. The flat is wonderful. its not as spacious as the pictures make it seem, but it is very beautiful inside. the furnishings are quite nice and staying on a canal is very pleasant. Sometimes, you hear a gondola go by with the gondoleer singing a song. The one thing that takes a star away from this apartment's five-star rating is the fact that, though the pictures make it seem like the terrace is part of the apartment, it is actually a shared terrace by all inhabitants of the building. this is not necessarily a bad thing, it is just falsely portrayed to be a part of the apartment. When I found out the terrace was a common one, I was slightly disappointed--more for the inaccurate portrayal.
The location is wonderful. Though it is a very quiet apartment, it is very close to everything. Venice is a walker's city and this apartment is in a very central location. it is very close to a little store from where you may purchase water, milk, cereal, etc. Restaurants, chemists, and even St. Mark's Square are extremely close by.
The woman that led us to the apartment and went through all of the particulars with us was delightful. My fiance and i enjoyed the ewxperience overall. Venice is an enchanting city and this apartment, from location to decor, really made the experience that much more wonderful.
I chose this apartment and it earned me brownie points with my fiance...and boy is she picky. -

We loved the manin. Our hostess met us at the watertaxi drop off as organized. A quick walk down some gorgeous laneways and we there. From the loungeroom windows you can see the canal below and soak up Venetian life as the gondoliers serenade their passengers. The roof top area is fabulous as well with a terrific view of the canal as it turns the corner directly in front. You can surf the net while enjoying a belini.
We slept upstairs and our 11 yr old slept on the sofa bed. The little kitchen was all we needed and there is a good launderette very close by. Would happily return. -

We stayed for a week in Manin and so much about it was wonderful. The location, near St Marks and the St Zaccharia vaporetto stop as advertised, was yet also out-of-the-way and peaceful. The gondoliers passing by the windows in the afternoon, singing (or attempting to sing) was a daily delight, as was the terrace with a view of the canal, a comfortable place for an evening glass of wine.
The 'kitchen corner' although very small, was workable and I cooked two meals (pasta/salad/fish) without difficulty. The bed was king size and there was plenty of storage space.
However, there were things not right. For example, the air-con leaked badly, there was only one wine glass supplied, neither the hair-drier nor the coffee maker nor the DVD player worked because there was no adaptor (required even though the appliances were Italian!). I must say that Truly Venice responded very quickly to our complaints and brought us one adaptor and five new glasses. The aircon was 'fixed' but one unit continued to leak, so we were lucky it was a relatively cool week - and Truly Venice gave us a discount because of the inconvenience.
We were only two, and four would probably be squashed in here. I wish Truly Venice would inspect its apartments on changeover day and make sure all is well; I was annoyed to arrive and have to start complaining and asking for things instead of having a glass of wine. However, the good outweighs the bad and I'd stay here again... -

The apartment was very well located, but very quiet and easy to find. it was very clean and comfortable. The only things lacking were a kettle (the British like tea) and a DVD player which was promised on the website. Also some English speaking channels on the TV would be good. The balcony was very comfortable and had a great view of a canal and gondolas. A great place to stay when visiting Venice.
