This sunny, quiet, and charming fourth-floor apartment (41 m²) features exposed ceiling beams and parquet floors. There is no elevator access. The building is on a classically Venetian square. The living room/kitchen (16 m² - north facing) has two windows that overlook the San Giorgio dei Greci Church and the Ponte dei Greci bridge. There is a table and chairs, a cabinet, a single sofa-bed, and a radio with a CD player. The kitchenette is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences (an oven, three gas burners, and a microwave). Few tourists venture into this working-class and residential neighbourhood in the sestiere of Castello, except to go to Riva degli Schiavoni, the esplanade that runs alongside Saint Mark's Basin. The contrast is striking between the crowded promenade and the peaceful tranquillity (not to mention the cool shade in the summer) found on such narrow streets as Salizada dei Greci, and San Lorenzo or San Severo. Salizada dei Greci, with its markets and Venetian trattoria, is the neighbourhood’s main street. The apartment is easy to get to by vaporetto (San Zaccaria), and is only a 10-minute walk from Saint Mark's square.

It was the best home we could imagine for our Venice trip!
Near the Marcus Place but really quite.
Great view from and realy cosy and clean.
We would love to stay again in this apartment and recommend it with no doubt. The Hire lady is really nice and helped us with good tipps.
