Camp HillFantastic Location and apartment
Left on 06/06/2013 for a stay in May 2013
This apartment is perfectly located in the heart of old Verona. The apartment has an efficient kitchen with oven, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine and very modern bath with shower and very modern large bath which is more like a jacuzzi. It also has two bedrooms and a wonderful balconey overlooking the city which is great for dining on warm evenings. Marco is the nicest host and extremely helpful .His English is excellent which is very helpful for those of us he speak little or no Italian. I would give this the highest recommendation as we have stayed here twice.

Haywards Heath, England, United KingdomExcellent apartment and location! Marco & Michela are wonderful!
Left on 03/04/2013 for a stay in October 2012
We had such a lovely time during our trip to Verona, and this apartment surely helped us make the most of it! The location is excellent for all the sights and close to shops (there is a large supermarket just across the road), restaurants, and the train station. Michela met us at the apartment and gave us a really helpful map and marked the sights, some obvious and some more unknown gems, and some really great, not so touristy restaurants. The roof-top terrace overlooks the city gates and is just lovely, and the enormous bath is simply luxurious. There is plenty of hot water!! The apartment is quiet, and the beds are comfy. As we were leaving for the airport on our final day, we managed to misplace a set of keys and had to leave without finding them. Marco and Michela were very understanding, and once we got home and found them in the bottom of a bag, they were helpful in providing a return address and did not charge us a fee. We also discovered that we'd left behind a souvenir, and they arranged to have it sent to us. What super service! I can't say enough good things about this apartment and the management! I look forward to visiting Verona again and know where I will stay when I do!!!

Left on 09/16/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We were very satified with the apartment, especially its location - to Piazza Bra and all the wonderful parts of the central part of the city; to facilities such as banks and supermarkets; and to some good restaurants very close by. Owner good to deal with too, including the cold glass of Rosini as part of the welcome!

londongood value apartment in a brilliant location
Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012
I was impressed with the process of renting this apartment from the moment of the first contact with Michela. We came for the opera so the location was fantastic - just a few minutes walk from Piazza Bra, all the cafes, restaurants and the arena, plus a very good supermarket just across the road. It's on the top floor of a very clean building, two bedrooms with comfortable beds and a very good bathroom. Simply furnished, but quite acceptable. There's a small balcony too, great for sitting out in the early morning and evening, and hanging the washing. The kitchen is small, but well fitted out with everything you need. A couple of minuses - we needed the air-conditioning during a very hot spell, but it was somewhat underpowered for the job. Secondly the apartment could benefit from brightening up the decor. But generally it worked very well for us, and we had a wonderful stay in Verona. We would definitely return here.

Left on 08/10/2012 for a stay in July 2012
From the outside terrace of the apartment we had a view on piazza Bra with the big arena and all the tourists passing to visit the houses of Juliet and Romeo. We are a family with two teenagers. They had their own spacious room with a television and we enjoyed the airco and the quietness while being in the centre of Verona. We came by car and it was very comfortable to park the car in a private parking space behind the apartment. Just before we arrived there was a big storm in Verona and the apartment was not clean yet so we had to wait. Marco was very nice to offer us a drink and gave all his efforts to make up for the delay. Thanks very much, we loved staying in Romeo apartment.

The NetherlandsBest place to stay in Verona
Left on 06/20/2012 for a stay in February 2012
I have tried several rental apartments in Verona, but this one is definitely by far the best. The location is perfect: right in the historic city centre, near the best ice salon of Verona, some very good restaurants, and even two supermarkets if you want to cook yourself (which we often did). All sights are on walking distance, including the arena and Piazza Bra (many terraces!), Castel Vecchio, PiazzaBra and my favourite Piazza: Piazza dei Signori, which the Veronese people call Piazza Dante.
Yhe apartment is lovely, well equipped and everything works as it should. Marco Vincenzi is a perfect host. He can introduce you to the Valpolicella wines from the environment of Verona and is always ready to answer all your questions. The roof terrace (from which we watched the Gito d'Italia pass by) was a bonus, as was the secluded parking spot.

Left on 01/03/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Right from the first warm and encouraging emails, we knew we were on a winner with Romeo apartment. Marco was a mine of information and always prompt with any replies.
We were met on arrival by the charming Michela, who had the same helpful spirit, taking the time not only to explain the features of the flat, but the major attractions nearby, providing maps and the basics to get under way - including a lovely bottle of prosecco!
We had 5 adults staying, and the place functioned very well indeed - with fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, and plenty of space for five to dine. With a balcony that looks onto the ancient walls and through to Piazza Bra, it was a great spot to just drop in on the New Year celebrations in the Piazza, yet is so well insulated, it stayed very quiet throughout our stay. There is a lift for three of the four floors - but unfortunately it broke down during our stay. -

Marco made us feel very welcome and provide great advise. The apartment was perfectly located for the centre of town which was all very easy to walk about. Only small downside was the 2nd bedroom ceiling was sloped being on the top floor so you did have to watch you head. Lovely bathroom and nice to have a small terrace. Would recommend

Left on 10/07/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The apartment is well situated, within minutes of the sights, shipping, restaurants, supermarket, and the bus stop is located directly across the street for easy access to mass transit. We found the kitchen to be fully equipped to meet our needs and enjoyed our morning coffee out on the terrace overlooking the rooftops of Verona. And, the bathtub is not to be missed! Marco was a fantastic host, picking us up from the train station, visiting with us upon our arrival, giving us instructions on the electronics and overall workings of the apartment, along with general information about Verona. I highly recommend this apartment, we felt we were staying in a home away from home.

Had a great stay at appartamento Romeo. The apartment is well equipped, quiet, very comfortable and in an excellent location beside the arena. A very good supermarket is 2 minutes away and there is easy access for the train station. Marco was an excellent host. He collected us at the station, welcomed us with a drink and advised us on things to do and places to visit. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Calgary, AB CanadaBeautiful but hot!
Left on 09/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
This apartment is very clean and in a fabulous location in Verona, and I'm sure if we had stayed there when the temperature was cooler I would have rated it 5/5 in comfort. The outside temperature hovered in the high 30's while we were in Verona, and although there was air conditioning in the apartment it wasn't enough to make the apartment cool. We never got the temperature below 30C inside the apartment which made for a hot experience. Granted, the lovely large tub was nice for cooling down!
If you are traveling to Verona when the temperature is reasonable I would totally recommend this apartment - it is perfectly situated and the layout is perfect. Marco is very friendly and easy to communicate with and (aside from the heat!) made our stay very pleasant. -

We came to Verona to see George Michael play the arena and wanted a central apartment with a balcony. Marco's apartment was better than we could possibly have imagined.
We actually first thought it was a scam, but that could not be further from the truth - Marco picked us up from the station, took us back to the apartment, opened a bottle of wine, sat us down on the balcony and told us all we could possibly want to know about the fabulous city of Verona.
And the apartment! Simply perfect. We've travelled all over Europe and stayed in some pretty fabulous places, but Marco and his Romeo apartment in Verona really was the very best.
Cannot rate this highly enough. Thank you Marco for a marvellous, unforgettable holiday.Response from ApartmentsInVerona - 09/17/2011

Fair Verona is spectacular but what better than to stay right in the city centre in an amazing apartment that was right in the heart of the action. Marco who rented us the apartment was so friendly and helpful. He brought us wine on our first night and recomended great places to eat and go. He even sorted out a private boat trip to Lake Guarda. This sort of bespoke service you usually get at a much higher price but the apartment and service was great value. The apartment was spacious light and cool. Super fast Wifi to check out the maps and a fully operational kicthen

The location of Romeo apartment is perfect and even though it is central, there is very little noise from the street. The apartment is spacious and very clean. It has a really working air conditioning and a free broadband Wi-Fi. The kitchen is very well equipped. There was only one appliance we were missing: a water boiler jug would have made it easier to a have a quick tea or instant coffee. There is a very nice supermarket about 50 meters from the apartment. And if you want use public transport to visit Lake Garda, the nearest stop for the 62-64 bus is about 100 meters from the apartment on Corso Porta Nuova. Thank you Marco for being very helpful and informative and for offering this excellent apartment at a reasonable price.

Left on 04/28/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Owner, Marco, does an excellent job hosting this apartment. He offers a train station pick up and personal tour and welcome to the apartment making arrival exceptionally easy.
The apartment is very clean, modern, well-lighted, and well equipped with WiFi, large television, kitchen with dishwasher, a spa-sized bathtub, separate shower. There is an outdoor deck large enough for a table an chairs with views of the gate to the old city (just steps away). The arena square is just through the gate where open-air dining is plentiful. Across the street there is a supermarket, bank, and gelateria. Very nice!
The only things to consider are: 1) It is not a quiet location, though the high-end windows and doors close out all noise within the apartment (except the church bells), 2) the master bed is of average quality, and 3) the elevator goes up to the 3rd floor and you will have to take the stairs up the final flight to the 4th floor. None of these were problems for us, but they might be for some.
We would happily stay here again on a return trip. Thank you Marco for your hospitality and for offering this very comfortable apartment at a reasonable price! -

No praise too high. Ideal location; light, airy and spacious accommodation. Invaluable secure private parking. An excellent small supermarket just 100mtrs distant.
The apartment has been tastefully decorated and furnished; and is equipped with everything you might need for a short holiday. For an evening in, the large wall mounted tv provides your own cinema experience.
Four days was not Nearly enough time to explore this remarkable City and it's environs but it has given us a taste and we shall return.
As you will have read in previous comments Marco is extremely helpful and informative; and do follow his restaurant recommendation for Giuletta & Romeo - but avoid the horse dishes!

Left on 11/03/2010 for a stay in August 2010
What a welcome to Verona. Greeted at the station by Marco, the nicest young Italian we would ever wish to meet. He drove us to the apartment, then proceeded to fill us with all the information we needed to have 9 wonderful days in Verona. Waiting for us in the fridge - bottles of cool drinks and fresh fruit, plus basic needs in the pantry.
The apartment is centrally located and a stones throw from the arena. Supermarket close by, and surrounded by outdoor eateries...perfectly located and within walking distance to many historic sites. Breakfast every morning on our terrace, which is also great for "people watching" in the streets below. To watch the wonderful parade of stylishly dressed patrons heading to the opera was a treat.
Shame there was no jug to boil water for a cup of tea - improvised. We have suggested to Marco he consider installing reception for english speaking TV channels, also an iron and ironing board (a women's work is never done).
After a perfect 9 days Marco delivered us back to the station and bid us fond farewell. How good can it get. -

Left on 09/11/2010 for a stay in August 2010
What a perfect spot to experience the beautiful city of Verona.
It was our first visit to Verona, and were primarily there for the Opera. We felt a part of the city for our stay and experienced the city like a local. The terrace is fantastic for lazy lunches (and there is a truly great supermarket "Pams" just across the road) afternoon sun and our favourite passtime of people watching: especially the masses of people leaving the opera at midnight.
The apartment itself has all you need and we felt at home instantly.
Marco is great at greeting you and giving you the local information that you need.
We took the train to Lake Garda (20mins) and with more time could have done more trips as Verona is perfectly placed for trips to Venice, Mantua and even Milan.
A night at the arena for an opera is a must. What a stunning thing to do. We took chilled wine and a picnic and sat on the stone steps and had a truly magical night.
The food and wine is quite different to the other cities of Italy but equally delicious and always very reasonably priced.
Just wander along the river and soak up the atmosphere of Verona and you will have an ideal Italian break. -

excellent flat - minutes from arena, supermarket, bank etc and great icecreams! Spacious and comfortable. Marco perfect host - met us at station and excellent tourist advice. Bath though not practical as takes absolute age to fill - so large - no microwave either if relying on this and we never found kettle. Hob and shower covered this. Only one set of keys a bit of pain when going separate ways. Plenty to do in Verona, easy to get to Venice, Lake Garda, Padua, very safe city. Verona card is excellent value - hop on/off bus goes to all tourist bits - teatro romano, castelvecchio, juliets house, the churches giardino guisti all worth visit - opera of course fantastic and worth every penny (as long as no rain!!!). Perfect stay - would love to go back and would stay here again.

He gave us great hints so that we could enjoy Verona as the "locals" do. The location was fantastic. Springfield, IL, USANice apartment in good location with a fair price
Left on 02/28/2010 for a stay in November 2009
We stayed at the Romeo apartment for 8 nights in
November, 2009. The apartment has an great
location right by the Piazza Bra, with a grocery
store within 100 meters. There is a bus stop
across the street with service to the train
station. There is free parking in the courtyard
behind the apartment if you rent a car--but make
sure you rent a small one, such as a Fiat Punto, or
you might not fit in the narrow space.
While it isn't totally clear from the description
on the website, this apartment is on the upper
floor of a building, but the building is served by
an elevator, so you only have to walk up one flight
of stairs. Molto bene!
Our only complaint was that the TV was inadequate--
small screen with tinny sound. We always enjoy
watching TV in the countries we visit to get a
sense of contemporary culture, and this TV
disappointed. Otherwise, we had no complaints: the
apartment was clean and spacious; the appliances
worked; the price was reasonable; the landlord was
gracious. We recommend the Romeo for an extended
stay in Verona. -

Marco is a fantastic host and can not do enough for his customers. There were four of us in our party and he made two trips to the train station to meet us and make our arrival stress free. He had all sorts of hints as to what to see and where to eat. His accomodations were so convenient and right outside gate--just steps to the main piazza and the arena. There was a supermarket a block away and coffee shops and bakeries outside the door. We especially enjoyed the terrace in the evening. We plan on going back to Verona and will stay with Marco again.

Perth, AustraliaThe most ideal location in Verona
Left on 02/05/2010 for a stay in January 2010
We stayed 2 nights in Verona and wish it had been more. Marco is a very friendly and enthusiastic landlord. He gave us many excellent suggestions on where to go to eat and shop. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and a lot of thought has been put into furnishing it. Its location can't be beaten. We were able to walk to all parts of Verona. Driving into town with Marco's directions was a breeze. Only one minor point - the children's bedroom overlooks the main street and a church. Light sleepers may be disturbed by the traffic noise and church bells.

I came across this property while trying to rent something else from Marco. He was kind and offered this property to me and my children. Besides the location of this property, Marco was the best. He picked us up at the train station and made sure things were settled before leaving. He recommended places to go and eat and the restaurant he recommended was fabulous. The apt itself was ok. Not bad and not great. In the master bedroom there was a strange smell from the closet. I think it was just mildew but I had to keep it closed as it was pretty bad. The bathroom was unfinished in the tub because I guess there had been a problem and the toilet flusher broke on the first push and because we were there for only 2 nights, I rigged it so it would work for our stay. The best part about this apt. was the very small view to the square which was great and the location. That was the best part and we loved being able to go right outside and be in the thick of things. Marco even said if we had a problem to go across the way to the pastery shop and they are nice and they were. Marco again was very nice and if was cleaned a bit more, I think this would be a prime apt.

Worcestershire, UKAn excellent choice for a holiday in Verona
Left on 09/23/2009 for a stay in August 2009
Romeo Apartment is wonderfully situated, literally a few steps from The Arena and, as there was a supermarket just across the street, it was very easy to be self-catering. The apartment was very smartly appointed, we loved sitting out on the balcony whether at breakfast time, or with a glass of wine in the evenings. Verona is ideally placed for travel to other interesting places like Venice, Florence, or Cremona by train. Marco Vincenzi was really helpful, he advised us which were the best sights to visit. His passionate love for his home town is quite infectious - we fell in love with Verona and will definitely return there as soon as we can.
