The apartment was very nice, and the owners very accommodating. We walked everywhere except to and from the airport and Buchart Gardens and we used bus services for that which were very convenient..

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at this condo and in Victoria. The place is very homey and suited our needs very well, especially the pull out table. It was great to have a washer and dryer there to do our laundry. It was very comfortable and the king bed was perfect for me, my husband and our 3 year old daughter. The location was great too. We were a bit concerned that it was a bit far but it only took minutes to cross to bridge and arrive downtown. We will definitely rent this place again if my family comes back to Victoria.

CalgaryEasy place to stay
Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012
I stayed at this condo for 3 nights with my parents, my sister, and my 2 year old nephew. The condo was easy to find and very convenient. Being on the first floor made hauling all of our stuff a quick exercise. Even with a toddler, we could walk downtown and enjoy the sights, dining, etc.
The space was laid out well in that the bedrooms were seperated from the living space. We managed to cook a full turkey dinner for 10 people in the kitchen. There were sufficient serving dishes, pots, pans, etc...we just had to buy a foil roaster. We could all sit at the dining table (including my grandmother who is in a wheelchair)as it expands to twice it's size.
The living area was very comfortable and a great size for 5 people. The whole place was bright and had plenty of ways to get fresh air through windows, patio, fans, etc.
On the areas for improvement, the mattresses were a little hard for my liking, and a DVD player would have been nice. There were a few maintenance issues to be looked at: the bathroom fan ran continually, the rolling computer chair was not reliable...the seat suddenly slid down while my mom was sitting on it (she is not a big lady) and then it literally fell apart when she got up. My dad put it back together as best he could but this would definitely warrant another look. There is a decorative wall hanging in the entry which looks lovely, but is held up by thumb tacks. While nothing happened, I saw this as a bit of a safety hazard, especially with a 2 year old.
There wasn't anything that would stop us from staying here again, and the location and layout of the place would definitely bring us back. The feedback from my family was all very good too.
The renter was very responsive to any questions I had before or after my stay. -

very nice well decked out condo, just across the bridge from downtown Victoria. Everything you need is there, washer dryer, supplies etc. The only reason I am not giving this site a 5 star rating is I feel the bedding is in need of an upgrade, its very good but the pillows are flat and its just time for a make over. I will be returning to victoria and would stay here again

CalgaryTitle: It's the little things
Left on 01/17/2012 for a stay in September 2011
When traveling I find it's the little things that make the biggest difference on weather I enjoy my stay. Yes, the Songhees was clean and yes it lived up to the advertisement, but we hadn't expected many of the little things we found. There was an assortment of pillows - thick, thin, soft hard - a great variety to choose the best fit from. There was little extras in the kitchen - spices, teas, coffee - so we could be comfortable right away. There are thermostats in every room to make our stay even more comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, will stay again, and would recommend it to others. Thank you.
