Duesseldorf, GermanyThoughtfully equipped, comfortable and cozy appartment
Left on 10/08/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed there for 4 weeks with our 2 kids (3 years and 5 months) and were impressed at how well equipped the appartment was: everything we could think of was there - a complete household! Also the location is excellent: very close to the sea and near the famous Beacon Hill Park! It is very quiet and we got lots of restful sleep - also due to the very comfortable beds. All of this together was really helpful for us as parents and we could actually relax ourselves during this holiday. We would definitely recommend a stay in this house!
P.S. The garden is great for breakfast outside in summer... -

Great location walkable to Beacon Hill Park and Cook st (we had family nearby). Newly renovated with very nice decor, super clean. Says family and children friendly but no bath tub. Just a very small shower (and no soap in the shower)- but lovely large bathroom. Had asked for a playpen and high chair but none in the place - as it turned out our daughter and grandchildren never came so just the two of us and it didn't matter, but do confirm if you need them. Beds only have two very thin pillows each (we borrowed pillows from family) no extra pillows or linens available and we found the mattress very hard - but maybe we are spoiled by our great mattress at home. Expect to hear the renters above walking about - quite noisy - you do hear everything! Thankfully ours were in bed by 10 pm every night and we were out every days so it didn't matter. Good off street parking. Couldn't find a kettle to boil water for tea.
There are lots of great rentals in Victoria at very reasonable prices. If travelling with grandchildren we will likely try another place because no bath tub. This place is great for two couples or older children though if you don't mind a very firm mattress.
Appreciated the early check in, easy booking.
Better mattress, more pillows and a bath tub in that huge bathroom would have made this a 5 star place. -

Grande PrairieA great holiday cottage in Victoria
Left on 02/27/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We spent 4 weeks at the May Street house in late January/early February of 2012. The house is tastefully decorated, with hardwood floors and interesting art work on the walls. It was spotlessy clean, and bigger than we expected. It's also well-equipped, especially for a long-term stay such as ours. It was great to find items which are not usually found in holiday rentals - a spice rack, salad spinner, weigh scales in the bathroom, and more. There is plenty of cutlery and crockery too. The bedrooms are situated at the back of the house, so we never heard any traffic noise. Each room has its own individual temperature control. Fairfield is one of our favourite areas of Victoria, and the house is situated a few minutes walk to the cliffs of Dallas Road, and also to Beacon Hill Park. We found the bus service very useful for getting around in Victoria (the bus stops are close to the house) and only rented a car for a few out-of-town excursions. We would definitely stay at this property in the future.

Left on 01/02/2012 for a stay in December 2011
This spotlessly clean home is perfect for 2 couples or a family of 4. It is a newly renovated bungalow with all modern conveniences, comfortable beds, new appliances and a spacious living room. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Victoria, Beaconhill Park, Dallas Road (waterfront) and the eclectic shops, coffee shops and pubs of Cook Street. Very pleasant and helpful hosts!

Kitchener ON CanadaFor us, the rental property at 1234 May St. Victoria was perfect
Left on 12/10/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We wanted to be close to our daughter who had a new baby. This property was a 10 minute walk from her suite located in the trendy Cook St. Village. Everything we needed for our stay was right there - food store, vegetable market, coffee shops, delicatessens, restaurants, antique shops, clothing stores,etc.etc.
Our host met us on the first day and was very diligent in her tour of house. It appeared to have been recently renovated. It was very clean and many of the furnishings looked new. We did lots of cooking and everything we needed was there, including spices and coffee. We stayed 3 weeks so were happy to use the new washer and dryer (soap was provided and dryer sheets!!)
The seashore was a 10 minute walk. Very beautiful!
We would rent this place again in a heartbeat and recommend it to others!!
