The rental was very welcoming, feel right at home, and very clean. The property is beautiful day and night, between the birds, wildlife, and view, the surroundings were as if you were in the Country! We really enjoyed floating on the dock, and swimming in the lake.
Location was good, close to all amenities (grocery stores, shopping and restaurants), and not a far drive from downtown Victoria, or Sooke.
Janette was very accommodating, and great to deal with! -

We spent 4 nights here. Very calm, peaceful and relaxing... exactly what we needed. Janette met us and was excellent at showing us around. Loved the deer and the hummingbirds. Sitting under the vines, overlooking the lake is priceless! We come to Victoria often for work and would stay here rather than a hotel any day!

We spent four nights at the Shoreview Getaway and it was absolutely perfect for our group. The house was spotless and was the best stocked of any vacation rental I've ever stayed at. She's thought of everything! We loved the yard and the fireplace and spent as much time as possible outside. We enjoyed seeing the local wildlife including deer, rabbits and an adorable otter when we took the floating dock out for a spin. We will definately rent this house again. Thanks Janette!

The place was awesome! The house was exceptionally clean and decorated with high end furnishings, beds were very comfortable. The best part was the calm outdoor space with the view of the lake. Janette met us to show us around and things went great from there! Be sure to find the Perogy truck on Kelly and "The Market" was a great grocery - a little further from the house, but well worth the drive for a couple of miles. For golfers - Highland Pacific! Awesome course that is family owned and only 4 years old. Be sure to paddle the floating dock out on the lake - great exercise and just beautiful on the lake. Don't miss the fireworks at Buchard Gardens on Saturday night. Janette can tell you a secret about taking a ferry over that was amazing! Great place, well described, and would definitely recommend it over high rise hotels in Victoria if you want a relaxing place to stay!
