Description

Wied Farmhouse is a fully furnished genuine country house which combines rustic charm with modern comfort. This farmhouse forms part of the G & J Holiday Complex which is located on the outskirts of Victoria, just 10 minutes away from the centre and near to all amenities. There is a restaurant/pub 'La Stanza' less than 200 metres away. Down the road there is a general store and outside the parking one can find a bus stop where buses pass by very frequently. All the beaches are only 10 to 15 drive away!

This farmhouse is larger than either Andar or Mejda farmhouses as it boasts 5 bedrooms and can accommodate a total of 10 persons with ease and in comfort.
Entering through the main door, one finds himself in the very large pool-side area embellished with a pool-side shower, the pool itself which is 29 feet by 16 feet (8.84m by 4.88m), relaxing sun-lounging chairs for relaxing by the pool, a gas-barbeque and ample al-fresco dining facilities including an umbrella to provide shade from the overhead noonday sun.
The farmhouse proper is accessed through a door opposite the entrance door. One enters an open-plan lounge, dining and a fully equipped kitchen. The lounge part consists of two very comfortable couches and there is a 28 inch cable/satellite TV for the guests' entertainment. The dining area consists of a rustic-style table that can easily accommodate ten persons.
At the other side of this large area one finds the large comfortable kitchen equipped with a 4-hob cooking unit, a large oven a large fridge-freezer and a toaster. In the cupboards one finds enough cooking-pans and all the cutlery and cover necessary for ten-persons. Hot and cold water is available throughout the farmhouse. The furniture is pine throughout.
The bedrooms are to be found at either end of this main living area. There are two bathrooms each comprising a shower, W.C. and a vanity wash-hand basin. A room is also equipped with a washing machine for our guests use. The furniture is pine throughout. The bedroom configuration caters for all tastes since there are two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, triple bedroom and one single bedroom all for our guests's use. This means that this farmhouse can accommodate up to nine persons in great comfort. One can also enjoy a countryside view of part of Gelmus hill from this farmhouse. At the back of this farmhouse one can enjoy a countryside view from a terrace, which also overlooks a small garden.
Hofra farmhouse can be your base to discover Gozo - the idyllic "isle of Calypso" on the Homer trail, as well as the home of Ggantija - the oldest megalithic temples in the world: The citation in the Guiness Book of Records. states: "The oldest free standing structures in the world are now believed to be the megalithic temples at Ggantija in Gozo - from 3,600 B.C."
