Halifax, CanadaGreat service - great location - could'nt have asked for more
Left on 05/06/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This apartment was everything we could have asked for during our week long stay in Vienna. It is a beautiful, comfortable, quiet, classic high ceiling apartment with all the amenities we wanted. We were literally steps away from the bustling Naschmarkt, theatres, shopping, taxis and transit and most of this beautiful city's main sites were within a kilometre walk.
Christian is a friendly, gracious and very helpful host. We look forward to returning here again. -

Bellingham, WA/Washington DCFantastic apartment!
Left on 04/17/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This apartment was the perfect place for us to stay for a week. It had all the amenities anyone could need at a great price. It is in a perfect location right near the Naschmarkt where we got lots of yummy food to put in the full kitchen. We walked everyday down the main shopping district to Stefansplatz and to any museum in the city center. The beds were comfy with big down comforters and the place was spotless. It felt very safe with two sets of locking doors to get in. It was very quiet as well...we couldn't hear anyone else in the building or any traffic. Christian was very easy to work with and flexible with all of the international questions we had about money and directions...his English is perfect too! He gave us a phone for the week as well, which was nice. We had wifi that was reliable and access to a laundry room which are very helpful when you come from another country. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to feel like they are living in the city for a week to enjoy a centrally located apartment-style living. I am so glad we didn't stay in a hotel!! 5 Stars for sure!

Left on 03/29/2013 for a stay in March 2013
My wife and I spent 6 nights in this one bedroom apartment and loved its "fin de siecle" charm and somewhat sparse but stylish jugendstil antiques. Clean, well equiped, spacious with a semi-firm and confortable bed, this rental met all our expectations. Christian, the host, is friendly and attentive. Best of all is the perfect location. You are only steps away from excellent restaurants, the Secession, two opera houses and the u-bahn. It is situated directly between two great residential neighborhoods which should be explored -- Weiden on the east and the delightful Neubau to the north west. The latter leads you directly to the Museum Quarter.

My partner and I stayed for 3 weeks in the terrace apartment and found it very comfortable and very convenient. Chris was a great host, providing directions from the airport and assisting with other practicalities along the way. The apartment is sizable and very clean. The location can't be beat if you're interested in Vienna's museums, concerts, opera house, Ringstrasse, the Naschmarkt, John Harris gym, as well as good restaurants, nice wine bars... all of these more or less a block or two from the apartment.

We had a fantastic stay in this apartment - the location could not have been better for getting about Vienna. The owner, Chris, was extremely friendly and helpful. And true to it's advertising - you can certainty walk to the Opera House, as well as Naschmarket, in your high heels.
Thanks Chris we had a wonderful time. -

On top of all that, the place has character. Highly recommended!

I stayed in Christian's lower level apartment for a week at Christmas 2011. It was a huge space for one person. The bedroom and bathroom were larger than any I've rented in Europe. Christian chould not have been nicer. He assisted me with showing me the washer and dryer units and how they operated. I will absolutely stay here again when I'M in Vienna,

My partner and I stayed in this apartment for six days. The apartment is very comfortable - complete with everything you need for a longer-term stay. The apartment is also very beautiful, and nice for a romantic vacation, as well as being functional.
Apartment is also very well situated - walking distance to all major sites. Cafe Sperl was our go to cafe during our stay, and we would highly recommend it!
The host Chris is very helpful and accommodating. We would recommend this apartment without hesitation. -

I loved staying in this apartment, around the corner from the wonderful Naschmarkt with its scores of market stalls and excellent, varied restaurants. And the building is genuine old-Vienna, kept in great condition.
Christian was a most excellent host - attentive, but not intrusive, and totally reliable. Thank you, Christian!
The apartment itself has a very large bedroom, an extra WC, a terrific bathroom. All of it very clean. The beds were super comfortable.
Hard to find fault with anything here. The apartment is quiet, looks into an inner courtyard, but also very dark, not enough light in the apartment for my taste and the artificial light in the kitchen was too florescent, I thought. But this is all besides the point. If you're looking for an excellent place to stay, this is it. -

Very stylishly decorated old-style apartment, great bathroom with full bath, great location and spotlessly clean. On a quiet street 5 minutes' walk from Karlsplatz and right next to the Naschmarkt. Lovely apartment with everything you need, and Christian was very friendly and helpful to me when I left something behind and he was happy to post it to me. Very positive experience all round!

We were a little nervous about this, our first apartment vacation rental, but Chris (the owner) made it a breeze from beginning to end. The flat is lovely, gave us room to stretch out and a full kitchen that help cut down on dining costs. And the location is fabulous - we were able to walk to everything, with shopping, restaurants and all the main sights close by. There are stairs to be climbed to the second floor (1st floor in Europe). Cannot recommend this rental highly enough!

Left on 08/01/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Stayed in this apartment over the summer with my two grown-up kids.
Pros: great location to visit Vienna, beautiful old building and quiet setting, nice welcome from Christian who's also very available for his guests, well-equipped kitchen, use of a washer/drier, comfortable king-size bed.
Cons: the apartment is on elevated ground floor looking onto the inner courtyard, and there is little daylight even in the summer. With modern, light-colored and comfortable Ikea-type furnishing and fixtures (hangers in the bathroom, a modern dining room table+chairs, a desk in the bedroom), the apartment could easily become more comfortable other than to sleep. -

We loved our stay in this appartment: first, I stayed there with my parennts (75 and 77 years old), and when they had left, I stayed there with my husband. Everybody loved their stay.
Pros: 1) great location, very close to the very centre of the city and to the metro (U2 and U4), 10 minutes walk to all the museums.
2 minutes walk to the market place and supermarket "Billa" to buy fresh fruit and water.
2) Chris is a great host, he went out of his way to accomodate us in every possible way.
3) Appartment is very quiet, good night sleep.
4) It has well equipped kitchen with microwave, fridge, oven and dishes (maybe only toaster was missing)
5) It has 1.5 washrooms, which is important, when you don't live alone.
Cons: I didn't like the fountain in the inner yard (that was on from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.), the sound of constantly running water got on my nerves. But maybe it's me; somebofy else might find it very soothing (?)

Christian was a great host, giving us wonderful locations for eating. The Location is central and allows you to walk everywhere and very safe and very quiet. The Christmas markets were open, all nearby.
The arrangement of the apartmen is a little strange, with a very large bedroom and a very small sitting/dining room. The kitchen is well equiped.

The photos don't lie! The apartment is located in a stunningly beautiful building. Every time you walk through the front door you feel privileged to be there. It's also on a courtyard, so it's very quiet. You'd never know that the you are in a city. The location could not be better. You're perfectly situated to enjoy the Innerstadt, but the building is removed from the crowds. The Naschmarkt is 2 blocks away, and I am quite sure that we walked to the opera in less than 10 minutes. Christian was a lovely and gracious host. We could not have asked for more!

My partner and I stayed here for the week after Christmas/New Year's and completely enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very nice. I've lived in Europe for a decade now and have seen many types of apartments and this is a beautiful building in a perfect location. It was easy to walk in the morning to the markets, spend some time shopping around town in the very center and come back 'home' for lunch/dinner and if we liked go back out again, completely on foot. The metro is near but we found the bulk of our stay we did not use it at all. There are a few nice cafes just around the corner as well so if you are having a lazy day its not impossible just to step out and take advantage of any of the super close amenities either. While we were in Vienna it was rather cold and it was always nice to come back to a warm apartment. The owner is fantastic to deal with and I would really recommend this location and apartment to anyone. The antique furniture is beautiful and just completes the entire set of rooms beautifully. Communication with the owner was professional at all times. We arrived quite late at night on our arrival date, Christian had thought of everything and we were able to go directly to the flat, and check in with no problems. The kitchen is fairly well stocked. I love to cook and found pretty much anything I needed to cook with utensil wise etc.

This is a really lovely apartment in a great location of Vienna near the Naschmarkt and Secession Museum, just a few blocks from the Opera. Everything is very comfortable and clean. Chris, the owner was very gracious and accommodating. I had the unfortunate experience of having to go to the hospital early in my stay and he very kindly called around for the best place for me to go, called me a cab, and came downstairs to make sure the driver knew where I was heading. He was very accessible throughout with any questions we had and great to work with. We would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip to what is one of my favorite cities.

For us this was the perfect apartment, in the perfect place! The owners were so kind and gracious, and the apartment was absolutely wonderful. It was spotless, roomy, and beautifully appointed. Left on 05/19/2010 for a stay in April 2010
My experience is an unusual one: our travel was interrupted by the volcano eruption that affected so many.
During that stressful time my communication with the hosts was the only smooth and easy experience.
Oh, what a relief it was to reorganize our dates with the accommodating and supportive hosts! Oh what a difference it was compared with the unresponsive airlines!
Though we didn't make it to Vienna, the hosts returned our deposit without us asking for it.
Thinking of them brings a smile to my face, and I am working hard on organizing our trip and staying with them in the near future.

Québec, CanadaThe perfect apartment for classical music and museum lovers!
Left on 02/10/2010 for a stay in December 2009
This is definitely the best apartment we've rented in Europe. We rented it for a month during Christmas/New Years 2009-2010. The owners, Eileen & Christian, were kind and helpful, even providing coupons for a major mens’ store and museum passes, both of which we used.
We found that we could be in our seats at the State Opera or at the Musikverein 15 minutes after leaving the apartment. (Use the Karlsplatz metro station to avoid having to wait at the crosswalks.) The Museum Quarter is a five-minute walk away which makes it easy to attend evening-hour viewings.
I’m over 6 feet tall and found the king-sized bed very comfortable with duvets as light as meringues. The weekly cleaning service included doing any personal laundry that we had left in the mesh bags provided. We appreciated the extra-long bathtub, since rentals often only provide small showers. There is a Billa supermarket right around the corner and the kitchen is well-equipped. The apartment is quiet since it’s located on the courtyard, so we would recommend that you take an alarm clock.

Left on 10/12/2009 for a stay in September 2009
This flat is in a great location--convenient to the Naschmarkt and a supermarket and within walking distance of most of what you would want to see in central Vienna. It faces a courtyard rather than the street, so it's quiet. Eileen is very helpful and has good suggestions for restaurants and shopping. The kitchen is well-equipped. The bathroom is roomy and up to date; there's also a half-bath. The bedroom is elegantly spacious and has plenty of storage for clothes; the king-size bed is the best we have encountered in our travels overseas. The flat-screen TV gets satellite programs in a variety of languages including English, though the couch opposite it is stiff and uncomfortable. That's really our only quibble. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at this apartment. The location is great, and it was wonderful to stay in a real old Vienna apartment - although with all the modern amenities. Left on 10/05/2009 for a stay in October 2009
From here you can walk in high heels not only to the opera, but also to the Secession, the marvelous Museums Quartier, the beautifully Baroque Karlskirche, the vibrant Naschmarkt, the historic Cafe Sperl, and the bustling scene on Mariahilfer Straße. Just a three-minute walk in either direction to two U-bahn stops, this is the perfect launch pad for exploring Vienna.
Charming and comfortable as it is convenient, this apartment has much more to offer than its great location. Tastefully decorated with Art Nouveau furnishings, it whisks you back to turn-of-the-century Vienna, but with plenty of contemporary comforts. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and spacious, and the huge bedroom boasts a heavenly king-sized bed.
Eileen and Christian were discreet, yet hospitable hosts. All transactions were handled very professionally, but they were also flexible and accommodating.
Whatever brings you to Vienna, you would be hard pressed to find better comfort, convenience, or value anywhere else. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and intend to recommend it to anyone seeking fittingly fabulous accommodation in a wonderful city. -

Left on 09/30/2009 for a stay in May 2009
This wonderful LARGE one bedroom apartment is located in an ideal neighborhood, just around the corner from the Opera and the Naschmarkt (the most wonderful outdoor food market in Vienna). It is only a minute or two from the U-ban station and a short walk to the center ring.
When you enter the building through huge wooden doors into a cool lobby with marble floors and high ceilings you are in old Vienna. Up a flight of marble steps and through another set of tall wooden doors you come to a wonderful apartment with wood floors, antique furnishings, modern bathrooms and kitchen and all the comforts of home.
The bedroom is huge with an extremely comfortable king bed. The kitchen was fully stocked and if there was something you needed the owner was more than happy to provide it for you.
When we arrived we were greeted with friendliness and given many recommendations for places to shop, health clubs, yoga etc etc. If you ever had a question it was quickly answered.
And on top of all of this there was maid service once a week, laundry facilities and a cell phone was provided for our stay! Oh yes, and internet service too.
There was nothing we lacked during our 3 months in this great apartment. We found that everything Vienna had to offer was at our fingertips.
Again I will say that the owners were wonderful. They were there when you needed them and responded immediately if you asked even the simplest questions and they were invisible when you did not need them. The perfect landlords.
I would reccommend this apartment to anyone who wants to have a home away from home in Vienna and get a feel for what living in Vienna is all about.

Bowie, MD, USAAn elegant apartment in the heart of Vienna
Left on 09/30/2009 for a stay in April 2009
I came to Vienna for a conference and wanted to get away from the hotel experience. I found the listing for this apartment online -- based on the pictures I was thinking, wow, this place is going to be expensive. It wasn't too expensive at all, cheaper than any hotel that I saw, and infinitely better.
The location is superb, with an open market nearby, easy access to the subway station and other popular attractions.
The area around the apartment is quite safe, and there are three sets of locking doors between the outside world and your apartment. During the daytime it can get a little noisy outside, at night, it's super quiet.
The apartment itself is much more spacious than I expected, it has an entryway, which branches off to a full kitchen to the right and toward the living/dining room and master bedroom on the left. The real jewel of the apartment is the large bathroom and the extremely spacious and simply appointed (elegant, not pretentious) master bedroom. The bed is large, appears to be a "king size" or larger. All throughout the apartment, the very high ceilings (3.5+ meters) give a very open and regal impression.
Eileen and Christian are intelligent, thoughtful, and gracious hosts who respect your privacy and independence.
They live in the same building (separate apartments, of course), so they are close by in case of any problems or questions.
They also provided me with a cell phone for use during my time in Vienna. All I had to do was call a number to add money. They were flexible with me when I couldn't pay them exactly as planned (ATM had a 250(?) euro limit on withdrawals).
I would easily recommend my closest friends and family members to stay there, and I certainly intend to stay there again on my future trips to Vienna.
