DohaOne of the best options to stay in Vienna
Left on 05/10/2013 for a stay in December 2012
This property is a 2 bedrooms comfortable apartment conveniently located in the center of Vienna, close to Secession building. The shower and toilet are in separate rooms, so there should be no problem for a larger family. The kitchen was modern and well equipped and there was a Billa supermarket downstairs where one can purchased toiletries and water. Naschmarkt market is across the road and a nice wine shop is some 200m away. Everything was as advertised on the website, including the internet access.
We had very minor booking problems and need to send a reminder, but we received a polite response and the representative we met was friendly and attentive.
We spent 7 days in this apartment in December 2012 and definitely we will come back as it is one of the best options to stay while visiting Vienna. -

Salt Lake CityNice apartment, great location
Left on 07/08/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This is a nice two bedroom terrace apartment in a great location, right across the street from the famous Naschmarkt. The apartment doesn't look like much from the outside but it is large and comfortable. It has aC, which was needed during part of our four-day stay in May. There is a small terrace which overlooks other roofs in the area. A nice grocery store (closed Sunday) is on the street level. Downtown Vienna, such as the opera house, is about a 10 minute walk. We did have a few complaints about the place, however. We had a bad experience with checking in, the worst we have ever had with any apartment we've rented. We had originally been scheduled into another apartment, with another owner, but then we were moved to this apartment, which was nicer than our original one. We did communicate by e-mail with the new rental company but they did not communicate well with each other about our arrival and they never finalized with us the details of our check-in. We ended up arriving at the apartment with nobody to let us in. We eventually reached the owner, Gero, who came by 30 minutes later to let us in. He was nice, but seemed stressed and befuddled about the details of our arrival. An apology would have been nice. Two other complaints. The appliances, especially the washer and dryer, had complicated operating instructions. There were no manuals and no English instructions. We were given a very quick explanation but essentially had to guess how to use the machines. Having more written English information for renters, whether it was recommended restaurants, sightseeing or appliance operating instructions, would have been very, very nice. Our final complaint was that the apartment provided no soap, toilet paper, kleenex, laundry soap, etc. Gero told us that we needed to provide these things ourselves. We were welcome to use any items left behind by previous renters. For such a nice place, this seemed really cheap and short-sighted. Our other European apartment rentals provided these products. So I have some questions about how organized and professional this rental company is. These complaints could be easily remedied, however. This is a nice apartment.

Unfamiliar with Vienna we arrived at the front door after dark and were concerned that we were in a bad neighborhood...were we wrong. The outside of the building does not look like much, but the apartment is modern and well done and the location could not be better. There is a grocery store downstairs and the best fresh street market in the middle of the street. We would stay here again in a second and recommend it highly when two bedrooms are needed. It is the perfect home base for exploring and a great value. Thank you for a wonderful stay and offering such a great apartment. See Belvedere and Schonbrunn...ride the carriages wherever offered...visit St. Stephens during services when the choir sings and incense fills the church...ride the ferris wheel at the Prater. The boat ride on the canal and river were not so enjoyable and I would strongly suggest avoiding the bus tours (a lot of money for nothing) as everything is readily accessible by foot and subway.

Mamaroneck, New YorkWe felt like we had our own private residence in Vienna!
Left on 08/13/2011 for a stay in February 2011
This was our first experience renting an apartment instead of a hotel room and since then, because of our wonderful experience, we have rented in Krakow and Prague. The apartment Secession is very conveniently located a short walk from major sights and transportation, and is directly across the street from the Naschmarkt where we purchased fresh produce, fish and meat to cook in our modern kitchen. The bedrooms are very comfortable for 4 adults. I would alert readers to the fact that there is only one bathroom. As the shower/bath and toilet are in separate rooms, this did not pose a problem for our family.

The apartment was great. It had everything it said it had on the website. The person who met us there showed us how everything worked and gave us some recommendations on places to eat. With the market accross the road and a metro station up the street, we couldn't have asked for more.
