It is really the best location and the best View up and down the Donaukanal in Vienna? It is really an experience we know you won't forget.

It is a one bedroom apartment with a sofabed in the living room. The living room has creative art and rugs and black leather furniture with TV , elevator, wireless internet and stereo music and everything that you need to relax.

The history of the street goes back to 13th century. It is connected wish Dominician Church located at the end of the street. The first church on this site was built in 1237 by the newly arrived Dominicans on a piece of land allott...ed in 1225-1226 by the duke Leopold VI. The church was enlarged between 1240–1270 and a new choir was added in 1273. A series of fires caused the construction of a new Gothic church between 1283 and 1302. The nave was extended between 1458 and 1474. This church consisted of a nave with five cross vaults, and two aisles.

This church was heavily damaged during the first siege of Vienna by the Turkish army in 1529. The choir was demolished and the nave was partly taken down. The building became more and more dilapidated during the next period.

The new-found self-awareness of the Counter-Reformation didn’t allow any more such a sorry state for a church. In 1631 the Dominicans started to build a new oblong church with a dome, following the plan of Jacopo Tencala, architect of Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein. The master builders were Jacopo Spacio, Cipriano Biasino and Antonio Canevale. They introduced to Vienna the Baroque style of Italy. The first stone was laid by emperor Ferdinand II on 29 May 1631. The structural work was finished in 1634. The church was consecrated on 1 October 1634. The finishing touch was finally given in 1674. The church was elevated to the status of basilica minor in 1927 under the name β€œRosary Basilica ad S. Mariam Rotundam”

In the living room you have a TV with all international chanels at your fingertips. In the bedroom you have a view of the Uniqua Tower which changes lights at night. So you have a 24 hour view of Vienna

We want you to have a great time. We have here so we can help you with your every need. So the house rules are that you contact us for everything. that is the most important rule. We have 3 people who can help you. So we are all available to make this a best stay. You don't have one concierge but 3 who speak 20 languages between us. So don't hesitate to talk to us in your language.

Also in summer when the windows are open the noise travels throughout the courtyard. So it is best to close the windows on the courtyards side and leave the street side windows open

Billa store where you can buy all groceries or anything you need is 15 meters from our place. Also, Sophitel hotel across the street offers coffee and snacks with one of the most beautiful views that you can find in Vienna.

Also, we would like to note that we can arrange beds however you like. We are open to any special changes that you need, just so we can make your staying as comfortable as possible.

Can you imagine being in the Center of it all.? This is a wonderful place to enjoy not only this building and apartment,,,but the best location in the best city . You have to think about that...the best apartment. You will enjoy every minute here. It it located just 5 min from St. Stephan cathedral and gives beautiful, romantic view on Danube channel. Every sighting is close with city metro station that is located in front of the building. You can reach everything. We are sure you will enjoy this place!!!

  The two of us spent 6 nights at the beautiful blue danube apartment and loved it. It was a real home away from home and a great location for visiting all sites in Vienna. As we left we both agreed we could easily have spent 10 days here. The apartment was very spacious, the big dining room table had seating for 6 and consequently plenty of room for the laptops. The little balcony with table and chairs was a great place to enjoy the view up and down Franz-Josefs street and the Danube, especially beautiful at night with all the lights on the bridges and buildings. Very comfortable king size bed in the big bedroom. Feather/Down and also foam pillows. Vienna was warm when we were there the last week of april and with the windows closed the apartment was quiet, but we usually had the upper part of one of the bedroom windows opened for some air circulation at night and the living area windows closed - this was a quieter configuration as Franz-Josefs is a busy road and noise travels up! (The bedroom windows open on the side street Dominikanerbastei)
  
  The apartment had lots of features that are great for guests - plenty of hooks in the tile walled bathroom to hang your towels, plenty of wall hooks in the hall outside the bathroom for hanging toiletry bags, and although the sink itself didn't have counter space to speak of, there were lots of cabinets in the bathroom to put your things. The entry hall area had the closet to hang your clothes, and a handy hanging shelf for your folded items. Above the closet were cabinets where extra towels and sheets can be found.
  Terrific location! We walked everywhere except to Schonbrunn. To go to Schonbrunn, just jump on the U4 which is directly across the street from the apartment.

  Perfect location and views

  We travelled as a group of 5 for a work meeting. The apartment was well placed, within walking distance of all the sights of the city centre and right next to the U1 station, which is perfect for the austria Centre (exhibition centre).
  An introductory pack, tour books and chats with the owner meant that we were never at a loss of what to do (and never lost - we were given perfect directions to the apartment and lots of phone numbers of who to contact in case of any problems). The owners re-arranged the apartment to suit our needs with beds in the living room and the bedroom. There is plenty of space for large groups, but only one bedroom means you have to be willing to share.
  The apartment has a balcony looking out onto the river which was great for breakfast. The fifth flour is easily accessible by a lift, but the stairs are well lit if like me you prefer to use them! There is a new boiler, which provides water for around 4 good length showers, but our fifth person had to wait for it to top up (this happened very quickly).
  We were provided with towels and bedding. The apartment was very clean and well stocked.
  
  We had a good stay here and would use the apartment again for a conference or if I was visiting again with friends.

  Everything is walking distance!! I just felt as if we live in Vienna.
  Billa supermarket is only a minute walk. I enjoyed cooking as well as sightseeing. Liska was kind enough to rent us a local use cell phone. It was really convenient to make restaurant reservations! If I could have chance to visit Vienna again, I definitely reserve this apartment.

  We finished our trip to Europe with a wonderful six night stay here. The location was perfect--so close to the train/bus/metro connections and a very easy walk to all the famous sights in the Old ring,great cafes and restaurants and plenty of nearby grocery stores.The views were amazing--from the snow falling, to the lightshow on building across the Danube. The apartment itself was nice and clean and very well equipped--it slept four of us very comfortably, and it was so nice to have a living room and dining room area where we could all hang out. The extra of having a real computer available was a nice feature. The communication and service were excellent;from the beginning we were in touch, and during our stay, emailed questions were answered almost immediately.Thank you Blue Danube for ending our stay in a great way.

  A great apartment in the heart of Vienna!

  This apartment was perfect for our family's stay in Vienna. Our family of 4 stayed for two weeks and was quite comfortable. The location is superb - right on the Donau, within a few steps of public transportation, grocery stores, many restaurants, and all the sights you would wish to see in Vienna. The area was quite safe during all hours, day and night. The building was very secure, with friendly neighbors, as well. We were met by staff to give us the keys and show us around the apartment. On New Year's Eve, we were treated to a fireworks show right in front of our own balcony! We would definitely recommend this apartment to others, and it will be on our radar for a return visit!

  There were 4 of us staying at this beautifully decorated, clean and cozy apartment. The place is so much better than in the picture. The location is excellent with many restaurants and shops nearby. The metro is just across the road and stephansplatz and the shopping street of kartnerstrasse are just 5 mins walk away! From there, most of Vienna's key tourist sites can be covered by walking. Another plus points is that there are free wifi and a local phone to use in case you need to contact the host. The host was really warm and helpful with all our needs. Will definitely stay here again!
