Description from the manager

Casa Belle Vue’s Lower Landing is a two-bedroom modern vacation rental unit on the North Shore of Vieques Island – construction finished in late 2009. It has commanding views of the North Shore, the main island of Puerto Rico and the island of Culebra. The sounds and smells of the ocean are at your doorstep, and you can watch the fishing boats and ferries come and go. The Lower Landing has two bedrooms - each with a queen bed, ceiling fans, A/C, and French doors leading to the terrace overlooking the ocean. There is one large bathroom with a walk in shower. The unit is tiled throughout with coral stone. Sleep at night to the sound...Read more

      Amazing Vacation

Left on 05/22/2013 for a stay in May 2013

The island of Vieques was absolutely beautiful. Stunning beaches, great restaurants and people were welcoming. We stayed at Casa Belle Vue. The condo was exactly as it appeared on the website. It was a great location and we had an amazing view. It was incredibly clean and had everything that we needed. However the best part was the property manager that picked us up - Laura. She was extremely helpful, told us everything that we needed to know to enjoy our vacation and came to pick us up one night when we got lost. Thanks so much Laura and Bravo Boyz for a great vacation.

      Private, peaceful getaway

Left on 04/10/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We were a family of four who stayed at the lower landing for a little over a week during the Easter / Passover break. Our children are 4 and 7 years old.

Bravos Boyz were very responsive and professional. Betty picked us up and helped us get oriented and settled in.

The place was exactly as pictured. Of note: there's no dishwasher or closets. So, tidying up is going to require a good deal of your vacation time, especially if you're a mom who likes to cook. The laundry on site is terrific and the hot water was plentiful. The kitchen has the basics, but we wished the BBQ had been a little less basic. The layout of the living area makes watching TV pretty awkward. One of the property listings (not on the Bravos site itself) mentions a gym and cleaning. These amenities are available for additional fees.

We loved the location; we valued the privacy, the view, and the quiet, as well as being able to walk down the nearby steps to a small tidal area. There were plenty of Vieques animals around: horses, dogs, crabs, chickens, iguanas, and other lizards all wandered by the house at some point. However, the waves and the wind drowned out all noise. We all slept very well.

If you unfamiliar with Vieques, be aware that the house is a short drive past the main part of Isabel II, and therefore you will not be close to the main, tourist-friendly establishments in Esperanza. You can walk to Isabel II to shop or grab a meal, but the way is hilly and narrow and not so fun for little ones. Many establishments in Isabel II were closed for the holiday week anyway.

The nightly rate was high, but you can say that about everything in Vieques. Groceries cost as much as they do in Manhattan, and basic meals out cost more than they do in NYC. My experience was that Vieques is not a budget-friendly destination at this time of year; however, we have no regrets. We found that researching the island beforehand gave us realistic expectations and we all truly enjoyed the trip.

      Beautiful view!

Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in March 2013

We had 2 couples stay in the lower landing at Casa Belle Vue and loved the location. It's very close to the ferry in Vieques, on the north ridge of the island. The view is amazing, you can't beat going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the waves. The front porch faces NW so you have beautiful sunsets.

Don't be fooled, there's no real beach here though, just rocky shores and no where to swim. Had we the choice, we'd go with another unit that has a pool, or that has a real beach. Also, the air conditioning in the right room didn't work.

Thank you for choosing Bravos Boyz and one of our most popular houses, Casa Belle Lower Landing! The views are truly amazing with fishing boats passing and Pelicans flying by as well as the sound of crashing waves and the occasional whale jumping. We are sorry you did not find La Lanchita Beach a two minute walk East and La Chata Beach a five minute walk East. Those are definitely North Shore favorites for swimming, snorkeling and surfing.
We would like to personally apologize that one A/C did not work during your stay and we really appreciated your patience and understanding that repair workers come from the Main Island and it takes time. We at Bravos Boyz value you and we really hope to see you again!

Convenient, clean, comfortable 2 bedroom pad for couples or families! Loaded with amenities & great service - nice to get picked up at the airport:) Convenient walk to Isabel II. Although - if you're looking for something on the beach, this isn't it (it's a 2min walk)...

Our recent stay at Casa Belle Vue was amazing! The property is beautiful- overlooking the ocean and in a quiet neighborhood, we couldn't of asked for a better experience! Olivia, Alberto and Tom from Bravos were very helpful during our stay. We appreciate the great restaurant recommendations - Thanks Tom!

We look forward to one day returning to Vieques :)

      Amazing, relaxing, comfortable villa

Left on 09/21/2011 for a stay in August 2011

This villa was beautiful, pristine, clean, and well-stocked with a modern contemporary feel. Views were spectacular, patios/balconies provided even more room to relax and take in the feel of being right on the ocean with sweeping views. There is even a mango tree where we were able to enjoy fresh mangos each morning for breakfast! The location was perfect as it was near the ferry and the ride to all of the beaches was easy. I would definitely return to this villa for another week of paradise!

      A Piece of Paradise

Left on 09/03/2011 for a stay in August 2011

A short but fabulous stay. I hadn't really heard of Vieques but it sounded great on the internet and it was even better in real life. If you want crowded beaches, this is not the place. Twice we had a beach to ourselves for most of the day. And Casa Belle Vue was spectacular. On the water, great sunsets over the El Yunque rainforest in the distance on the island of Puerto Rico , and everything was new (or it seemed like new). One night there was no wind so we used the a/C but the rest of the nights, there were ocean breezes and we only used the really quiet ceiling fans and let the ocean waves lull us into a blissful sleep. Our teenage kids really liked the island too. Next time we'll come back, rent the whole house and stay longer!!

Left on 05/21/2011 for a stay in April 2011

What a great island. A great house - new. Fabulous location. Beaches to kill for. Surf was up at the house. Enjoyed barbecuing on the deck listening to the surf. Even better was going to bed to the sound of surf - we all slept like babies. Try the late afternoon/sunset beach ride on horses with Elizabeth in Esperanza. Blue Beach is the best. Thanks to Bravos Boyz for their hospitality. Take lots of sun tan lotion :)

      A fantastic trip

Left on 04/06/2011 for a stay in April 2009

Casa Belle Vue is a good value and a nice place to stay. We rented the lower unit. Bravos Boyz is a class act team. They were always very prompt to answer questions. Gabby met us at the airport and was friendly and helpful.

The key plus to the unit was the open and spacious covered deck with wonderful ocean breezes.

I do want to warn anyone that stays in Vieques to please please keep you belongings secured and keep your guard up.
One night we forgot to close the windows on the front door. Thieves used a putty knife to pry the screen open. They spotted my Ipod I had left on a chair close by. They managed to use the handle of a broom to stick through the slat and slide the Ipod where they could grab it.

Would this deter me from going back? No. I would stay there again in a heart beat. I know petty theft is common on the island. If we ha closed the window this wouldn't have happened.

I gave comfort a two star rating because the mattresses in this place are horrible. It amounts to a thin pad on a frame. Come on Bravos Boyz...spend some money and upgrade the bed.

It was wonderful having beach chairs and a cooler for the beach too.

We had a great time. Alberto picked us up at the ferry dock and immediately drove us through town to show us where the supermarket, bank, restaurants, etc were. The place was awesome. Ac, nice tile bathroom, comfortable beds, and a stunning view. Every night we were treated to amazing sunsets, and every morning we had coffee and breakfast on the terrace. Would recomended to anybody.

A beautiful home on the paradise island of Vieques

Left on 01/13/2011 for a stay in January 2011

Overall, I am very pleased with this rental. The house is brand new with superior workmanship evident. I want to know who the architect or builder is as the craftmanship is amazing, actually. Marble floors throughout, excellent tilework, and very moderns and stylish decor, wonderful screened security doors that allow airflow and very good ceiling fans, bathroom, shower, laundry, patio. Our only complaints are that the light in the ceiling fan would not shut off in the second bedroom, which made it impossible to sleep in that bedroom with the fan on. Not a big thing-we just relocated to the other bedroom, but I did notify BravosBoyz; unfortunately, nobody came to repair it during our stay. The other issue was the bed mattresses; I am used to a Tempur-Pedic, so sleeping on this bed gave me and my partner backaches. Finally, the internet router has a very weak signal in the lower unit as it is located upstairs. Also, the internet speed here is very slow. So, if you are planning to do much work on your laptop, you are warned that it will be a slow process. Forget cell service here; use the land line. We had a wonderful time in this home and I highly recommend it to anyone. The neighborhood is quaint, somewhat gritty but very safe and the people are so nice. We were able to walk into town to get dinner from the house and had 2 nice barbeques of fish we bought at the fish market right down the street (the blue building by the ferry).

Rain, thunder & lightening on Vieques

Left on 08/18/2010 for a stay in July 2010

We loved the accommodations while on our very first visit to Vieques. I think if the weather had not been so extreme- we would have been able to enjoy more of what the island had to offer. We all loved the house... and it was a comfort to be in a weather secure place (although the upstairs got flooded?) especially since the rain was pelting the windows from the high winds.
My only suggestion to the owner(s)--- please upgrade on the cable service (since we were stuck inside with child because of the weather). Maybe get WiFi or something since we had to follow the weather via our Iphones and the connection was dicey at best.
The refrigerator was fine, but then completely died two or three days before the end of our stay. Thanks for letting us use the upstairs refrigerator- or else we would have had all our food, etc., spoil.
All in all- a great place and definitely a relief to us since we love the aesthetic look of the building.
But... as a suggestion... one word: pool.
I think a pool (like next door) would be such an asset to the appeal of the property!
