Description from the manager
Sea View Cottage is a private and very sweet one-bedroom house situated on the side of a hill in the beach-side neighborhood of Bravos de Boston within the grounds of Sea View House Compound along with Sea View House and Sea View Courtyard. Just down the hill one minutes walk you will find La Chata beach one of Bravos Boyz favorite places for a morning swim, beach combing for sea glass or watching the surfers catch the perfect wave.
The house is very comfortable with living, dining, and kitchen all in one open floor plan. The new appliances will feel great for making coffee or cooking a meal at home as well as a charcoal grill.

We have been to the island many times and found this spot to be a great value in our favorite location. We particularly loved the bedroom with a big window facing the ocean. The Bravos Boyz are always easy to deal with.

44535Another great Bravos Boyz property! Excellent location and view
Left on 02/23/2012 for a stay in February 2012
This was our 8th trip to Vieques and we have rented from the Bravos Boyz 5 times. We have also stayed at the resort (don't) and rented from others. We are solidly convinced that Bravos Boyz properties are far and away the best on Vieques.
We rented Seaview because we planned our vacation 3 weeks before we left and it was all that they had left. Even though this was the last of their properties available, it was still outstanding and is highly recommended. The view and location were great, but lets face it, other rentals have great views and locations as well. Where the Bravos Boyz stand out most is their attention to detail and customer service.
They just "get it", meaning they understand what travelers coming to Vieques want. You don't come to Vieques because you want someone to bring you a drink with an umbrella while you lay on the beach or to go shopping for designer clothing, you come because you want to relax in a unique and beautiful non-touristy atmosphere. The Bravos Boyz do everything to make your Vieques vacation as memorable as possible.
The Bravos Boyz are very responsive to any questions or requests, but really they have it all thought out. It is clear they have gone through each property and thought "if I stayed here, how would I want this to be?" It also seems clear that the Bravos Boys set up and organize each rental the right way before they price it, they don't price it and then cut corners so they can make a buck. This is exactly the way it should be and results in a hassle free experience for the renters.
Each rental includes beach gear such as coolers, chairs, towels, etc. and a well stocked kitchen with a grill outside. The bedrooms are clean, the beds are comfy, and there are clean linens. There is a washer/dryer on site, a TV with satellite (although I'm not sure why you'd watch TV in Vieques), and wireless Internet which is more than fast enough for you to grab your emails and put out work fires. The aC works well and is really a necessity if you're coming from a colder climate. If there is a pool, it will be clean and in proper working order. in fact, everything works at their rentals.
This may seem "standard", but we learned the hard way that many of the other property managers on the island cut corners wherever they can. One time my wife and I rented a place (great view and location!) that advertised a king sized bed, which turned out to be two twins pushed together, with wood framing in the middle. When we pointed this out to that property manager, he sincerely could not understand why that might be a problem. Nor did he understand why he might want to note that the only hot water in the rental was to the shower. These things seem nuts, but during our vacations we have talked to plenty of folks who have experienced the same things at other rental properties.
We have never run into anyone who had anything poor to say about their stay at a Bravos Boyz property. Do yourself a favor and begin and end your search on their website, then you can write a glowing review like this one. -
Tri-State Island Hopper
New York, NYTerrific Island Getaway
Left on 03/30/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Unbelievably affordable getaway from the tri-state area. I read several reviews about the ferry but decided to fly Cape air from San Juan. The flight was very short (approx 20 mins) and an agent with the rental company met us at the island airport. The agency was very professional, helped us pick up a rental car, and showed us around the property.
The property has an excellent location just outside of one (of two) towns on the island. We ate in town several nights and were pleased with the quality of food in the area. The cottage included everything we needed (even beach chairs!) and was set back on the property (off the street). It had a full kitchen which was very convenient for breakfast and snacks (we generally ate lunch and dinner off the property). Overall the cottage was very quiet and relaxing. It is nicely decorated inside with artwork on the walls and high quality furniture (it looked high-end and brand new). There was also a small patio were we could relax with a book (our typical late afternoon activity). The beach is an easy walk down the block, and it was refreshing to be able to wake up an be on the sand within about 60 seconds.
What a great place to unwind! I will definitely be back! -

Philadelphia, PAGreat cottage retreat
Left on 03/26/2011 for a stay in December 2010
My wife and I visited Vieques for the first time and found a gem for our accomodations here. The cottage is in a easily accessed residential neighborhood which overlooks the beautiful Caribbean Sea with island of Puerto Rico in the distance. Our ferry ride was an unexpected pleasure with beautiful views, calm water and lots of porpoises.
The cottage was a delightful surprise with beautiful decor and comfortable furnishings with easy access to awesome beaches and restaurants. We loved the privacy of the place and yet felt connected to friendly people which is part of the Vieques Island experience. We will definitey return to this place.

Left on 02/27/2011 for a stay in January 2011
We stayed for a week at this lovely little cottage atop a hill in Bravos de Boston. It has a great view of the ocean, partially obstructed by a neighboring home. Everything worked as it should.
They kindly included little extras like a cooler, beach towels and beach chairs.
Alberto took good care of us. He picked us up from the airport, helped us pick up our rental car and pointed out several points of interest along the way.
High marks all around. Would definitely stay here again.
