Moonrise Cottagesits in the heart of the Vieques Garden District in the well loved neighborhood of Bravos de Boston. The house is managed by the Bravos Boyz Team and is part of the Bravos Beach Cottages compound along with Starlight Cottage and Sunset Cottage. Moonrise Cottage is of newer construction and was designed by well-known architect Stanley Hutchinson. The house is designed for four people to sleep in two bedrooms. If additional space is needed there are two single sofa beds for two more people in the living room that are suitable for children.

A wonderfully appointed, comfortable cottage! Everything we needed was provided. The house was clean, secure (very important!), and easily accessible for our family. Open plan kitchen/TV/Dining room a plus for family activities and relaxation. Very comfortable beds/sheets/pillows. Like we were "home".

We rented Moonrise Cottage in Vieques recently (Mar 2013) and had a pleasant stay. The casita was very clean, inside and out, with well manicured grounds and lovely saltwater pool. Beds were comfy, bathrooms adequate, and living space, small, but enough for us. Once you open doors to 2nd floor balcony, felt the space was expanded! Vieques is not full of amenities in and of itself, but Moonrise afforded us a good, safe location, mostly what we needed was provided, and any issues that arose were taken care of immediately by the mgmt company (conveniently located around the block). A car is absolutely necessary to explore the island adequately, as there is a feeling of the undiscovered there -- hidden beaches etc., along with the primitive island feel with roosters crowing, dogs barking, and the wild horses padding along the streets at night. It's a place for those that prefer a bit of adventure and don't get flustered if the electricity goes out for a few hours in the neighborhood (which did happen to us.. but candles were provided!) We also met wonderful folks staying in the other cottages on the property..

Moonrise is one of 3 cottages on a property that includes well-maintained gardens and a saltwater pool. It was very clean and nicely decorated. There were 2 porches that made the space feel even more spacious. The owners supplied beach chairs and umbrellas so that you could just throw them in your car and explore the great beaches. If there was an issue with anything in the rental it was taken care of immediately. Well-run and well-maintained. Highly recommended.

We were a party of 4 and we stayed in the house for 5 days, during our New Year's eve holidays.
The home was very confortable, clean and well furnished. All the important services were included and perfectly working (A/C, internet, TV, ... ).
Vieques island is a very peaceful place, with fantastic beaches and the weather was almost perfect.
The only thing that should be better was the view from the house: even if the sea isn't far from the house, was impossible to see it.
