We had a wonderful time in Vieques. The beaches were some of the nices in the world. The food was amazing! The locals were gracious. The Bravos Boys could not have been more accommodating. The house looks just like the pictures. It was beautiful. We loved walking right down into Isabell for some tacos, empanadas, fresh seafood and cocktails. I would recommend this to anyone. There was on the other hand a few quirks with staying so close to the ferry and visiting on Easter week. The ferry blows its horn at 6:30 and 7:30 every morning (kind of tough on vaction) and the house is located 2 doors away from a Pentecostal Church. They have permits to stay open until 2 am and they chant (actually scream) a few times during this week. Besides the noise factor I could not have asked for a better vacation. We will definately be back.

Seaside is a great place to stay if you're looking for comfort and relaxation. The views are gorgeous and the house is nicely furnished. It is walking distance to restaurants, the grocery, and the ferry, all of which is very convenient.
Laura with Bravos Boyz was great and so helpful - she really went above and beyond during my stay.
I, personally, really enjoyed the resident cats. They were sweet as can be and I didn't have any problems with them begging or fighting. I think the free-roaming animals are part of the island's charm and the cats and iguanas that stopped by the house are part of it.
While the ferry and church were loud, closing the windows shut out all the noise if I didn't want to hear it. Just because I am on vacation doesn't mean that other people's lives need to stop - the ferry still needs to run and people still want to get their worship on. That's one of the things I liked best about this location - it makes you feel part of the community, not just like you're staying at a resort that could be anywhere.
Did not live up to expectations

Nice house, although strange layout. Not as nice as the pictures make it look online. Could have been cleaner, but beds and bedding were very comfortable. Kitchen was well-equipped. It was close to town, which was nice. On the down side, 3 stray cats that we were told 'lived there' but no food was left so they begged us at every meal and left cat hair on all of the furniture. Very close to ferry and fish mart so got woke up every morning and smelled bad sometimes. Church across the street sounded like they were staging a revolution. At least half of the nights they used a microphone to project their service, which included very bad singing and loud declarations in Spanish, along with moans from the audience. Very strange and extremely disruptive. Also kept us from being able to open the windows in the evening. They only left us one roll of toilet paper and paper towels and not enough garbage bags or dishwashing detergent for the week. When you are paying this much for a place, you expect at least 7 garbage bags and shouldn't have to go out to buy toilet paper. The woman from Bravo Boyz acted like she was doing us a favor by letting us stay there. The pool pump broke on our second day there, although she did send someone to fix it after the second call. Had a lovely vacation in spite of the negatives. Loved Vieques but would not stay here again. Just too many things and not worth the money paid.
A Candid Review...
Left on 02/05/2014 for a stay in January 2014 | LovesToTravel
House is nice. View is great. Right in town. If you are looking for quiet, peaceful and relaxing, this place is not for you. The house is in the residential area of the town Isabel Segunda, or Isabel II.
I reserved this house based on the previous reviews. Why no one gave a balanced review, I don't know. No one mentioned the Pentecostal church two doors down with the loud, annoying, nonstop preaching. Sunday morning I thought "oh this is nice, I'm in the "real" Puerto Rico." But, then it occurred every night of the week for 3 hours straight each time.
Then, there were the resident cats. Two cats that apparently have been encouraged to hang around by the owners and previous renters. The cats would dart in the doors anytime we opened them. They were a huge nuisance. One climbed on the front door screened trying to get in, damaging the screen. By the 5th day of the trip I just gave in and didn't try to chase the cat out of the house. He laid on the couch as if he was accustomed to it. I like cats. But, I have asthma. So, having the cat dander in the house kept my asthma flared the entire week. Oh, and let's not forget the cat fights outside the bedroom window every night in the middle of the night. The house is very close to the ferry and a fish market. So, starting at 6 am every morning the ferry horn would start blowing, every hour on the hour. The fisherman at the fish market talked so loudly at 5 and 6 am it woke me up every morning. The house's architecture is in the West Indies style. It is essentially a small compound with the living areas in divided sections. The main house (living room & kitchen) is on the ground level. You have to go outside and walk down a flight of concrete stairs to get to the master bedroom. Then another walk/stairs to the grill. The second bedroom/bathroom and laundry room are in another building about 15 feet from main house, along the street. Nice house. Great party house. Floor plan not comfortable. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review Seaside! We are glad you found the house to be nice and the View Great as well as a Great party house. We agree! Bravos Boyz Management and The Owners take your comments seriously and we are committed to making our guests stay a wonderful experience. We are very sorry the house did not live up to your expectations. The Pentecostal Church down the street has been a responsible part of our neighborhood and community for many years. However, we are currently working with local authorities to make sure that Puerto Rico's noise ordinances are observed, ensuring the peace and quiet desired by our guests and neighbors.
Like the rest of the island and one of the unique things about Vieques, Isabel II has roaming cats, dogs, roosters, horses and iguanas. While we care about the well-being of our island animals, we ask that our guests not feed them on the property. Bravos Boyz and the owners are committed to working with the Humane Society to ensure the good health of our island animals. Unfortunately, well intentioned guests can make the situation worse.
We hope to see you again on our amazing island!

We visited Vieques to attend a family wedding. We enjoyed our stay at Seaside and we were very pleased with our decision. This rental was within walking distance from food, bars, coffee, and the grocery store. We rented a jeep so to get us around the Island and get to view the entire island and its exceptional beaches. We rented Seaside with another couple and it still felt like it was our own. The neighborhood was friendly and kept to themselves. We felt safe during our stay at Seaside. Laura who picked us up from the airport with Bravo Boyz was very helpful and briefed us on the island on places to shy away from and better yet provided with us with a little tour of the island on our way to Seaside. She made herself available for any help needed during our stay. The rental was clean with modern furnishing. The a/C worked wonderful!Seaside has an amazing view of the sunset and sunrise so we highly recommend sticking around for these times to witness it!The dipping pool was great and we used daily after coming back from the beach and at night. Minor things to know is their are 4 wild cats on the property that we were encouraged to feed outside with the cat food that was left for us, and we did to keep them happy. If you are allergic to cats this may pose an issue but it didn't bother us and come to find out most of our family who had rentals had stray cats roaming around. If you do not wish to have them running in and out of the rental just keep an eye out for them when you are opening and closing your doors! For the most part, not an issue. We enjoyed our stay and hope to someday to return to Vieques and would like to try and stay in Esperanza. We definitely got a feel for the culture and Seaside is right in with the locals. If you are someone who loves to explore and get taste of the culture this is the place for you!Our best experience was the all-in-one Bio-Bay Tour through abes Snorkeling and Bio-Bay Tours.Wonderful guides which it an even more unforgettable experience.
Great Location and Excellent Service

Bravos Boyz were positively wonderful to work with- I would absolutely rent through them again. Their service was stellar, start to finish. This home is in a great location, right on the water with incredible sunset views. Although many folks recommended staying in Esperanza (and we subsequently stayed there as well), I actually preferred Isabel. There were comparatively more stores and restaurants nearby and it was less "touristy" than Esperanza, for a much more authentic experience. As others have noted, the house is constructed in an unusual manner, consisting of several different levels and living spaces, including 1 of the 2 bedrooms accessible via outside stairs. Each of these spaces has it's own personality and we actually enjoyed transitioning among them. It is a bit of a hassle to deal with securing the space when you come and go- closing all the louvered windows, locking the various rooms, setting the alarm- but that is minor downside in light of the how much fun it is to enjoy the many unique attributes of this house. The nearby church was not the disturbance to us that others have noted; while their projected sermons were loud, they were infrequent and closing the windows reduced the noise significantly. The beds were wonderful as were the linens and towels. Water temperature and pressure were great and having laundry facilities was a real convenience. The kitchen is very well equipped in terms of quality of cookware, etc. One minor exception was the corkscrew; the cheap waiter's knife was a frustration. We loved the plunge pool and sitting outside at the end of the day, enjoying a drink and the sunsets as well as the adjacent lighthouse. The house affords a lot of privacy although it is proximate to many conveniences and even the busy ferry dock. All in all, a fabulous venue supported by five star service from Bravos Boyz.

Perfect Vacation Rental for 2 Couples as sleeping areas seperated. Beautiful furnishing and Decor. Parking was bit of a challenge on a narrow road and serious noise at time from the Church cross the street but only on random nights. Bring ear plugs and enjoy this house with amazing location to town and water views. Bravo Boys staff Laura and Theresa were very responsive and great to deal with! Will back for sure!

Seaside looks exactly like the pictures in person! It's a very nice house. The little dipping pool is nice to cool off in. It's pretty deep, like 4.5' I'd guess, and about 4-6 adults could sit in it comfortably. The beach in front is beautiful, but not really a beach you would go to for a beach day. All of the islands great beaches are on the opposite side of the island from Seaside, but the island is tiny so it takes you 15-20 minutes to drive there. Most of the beaches are in the National Parks so you're not missing out on beachfront properties.
You can walk from the ferry to the house. It's only 2-3 blocks away from the ferry dock. This was nice when we had to get up really early for the ferry on the way home. The property mgmt team was really helpful and nice.
We stayed in august which is hurricane season and it rained a little bit each day then stopped. The rain didn't impede our outdoor activities or beach time, but the locals said it was unusual that it wasn't raining more.
The house has separate living spaces within one compound so it's ideal for two couples to share the house. I am not sure I'd feel comfortable having kids sleep in the separate bedroom because you have to lock yourself into your room at night. Also, there are some stairs down to the pool so if mobility is an issue keep that in mind.
Overall the house is well worth the money! If I come back I am staying here. I hope this helps!

I was very pleased with all aspects of this vacation. It was our second time in Vieques, but first time for our boys; ages 17 and 14. Laura met us at the airport and she was amazing, she transported our luggage to the home as it would not fit in our jeep rental. She was available throughout our stay, ready to provide suggestions and offer help as needed. The home was exactly what we anticipated and expect, clean, tasteful, well organized, and very well stocked. We took advantage of their recommendations for car rentals (Maritzas)and local taxi on the mainland (Julian) and I cannot stay enough good things about both. I loved the convenience of the location and felt comfortable sending my youngest to the grocery store for items. The fish market is a couple doors down, this allowed us to monitor when the boats came in so we took advantage of first pick. Excellent lobster, grouper, and snapper. We loved spending days at the beaches; swimming, snorkeling, walking. In the evenings we would cook a wonderful dinner and relax at the poolside. I fell instantly in love with the comfort of the bed. We very much enjoy hot weather, however, its not fun to sleep in. The bedrooms are very comfortable and feel like you are retreating to an ice cold hibernation cavern. The air conditioner worked great. The view in the morning waking from the master suite is unbeatable. Overall, the location, amenities available, support from Laura, and other services used worked so well that our week vacation at Seaside felt as if it lasted a month...and there is no topping that! Thank you.

This is a wonderful rental property. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. Having a full kitchen and gas grill were incredibly convenient. It's a very comfortable and private residence. I felt very safe in the house and couldn't have asked for better views. It was great to make coffee, bring it outside to enjoy and then steps away go for a morning swim.

We were very pleased with Seaside and Bravos Boyz. We were met at the airport and Bette brought us to our car rental place then to Seaside where she showed us all around the house. It was perfect for us two couples! The house has a very unique layout. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our fresh lobster we bought from down the street and all the other meals we prepared. The pool was great, outdoor seating was abundant and the view was wonderful! I highly recommend staying at this beautiful home and would most certainly stay again if we go to Vieques again with another couple. House is in great location for walking to local bars and restaurants - Als Mar azul was one of our favorites.
We were back and forth from Isabel to Esperanza for beaches and entertainment - Navio and Blue Beach were my favorites!! Snorkeling was great! Horse back riding with Esperanza Riding Company, Abe's Bio Bay and fishing with amity Charters - Captain J Ferguson was excellent!
I did not want to leave and I can not wait until I get back there ;)

The house is perfect! It's a 2 minute walk from the Ferry and al's bar/restaurant. The setup is perfect for two couples. It is hard to grasp the setup of the house based on the pictures. Once you enter the front door you are not in the house but more like the entrance to 3 separate sections of the house. To your right you will find one of the bedrooms with its own bathroom and a separate laundry room. Straight ahead are the stairs leading to the second floor. This is the better of the 2 rooms and has its own bathroom, a small dipping pool, and more stairs leading to your beach! Across from the first bedroom is the common area with an amazing view from the balcony as well as living room and fully stocked modern kitchen. You have a small lawn area with a total separate spot that has a grill, sink, and seating area not connected to the rest of the house. In the morning the lawn is covered with iguanas! I would live there in a heartbeat! Just so you know (and this has been mentioned previously) The Ferry is close enough to hear its arrival horn and a church is nearby and they love to sing! Neither of these affected us but I knew about them ahead of time and enjoyed it as part of the island! I can't wait to come back! The Bravo Boyz are friendly and we worked mostly with Tom while there and he was as honest and friendly as they come! Enjoy your stay!!!

One of our most relaxing vacations ever. The comfortable outdoor seating areas were great for lounging and watching the water. Amazing sunsets! Already booked reservation for next year!
Cool Layout, Has Some Challenges
Left on 05/27/2012 for a stay in May 2012 | JWKyzer
The house layout is unique. All areas are separate from each other so to get from one room to the next, you have to go outside through the courtyard or downstairs. Once you walk in from the street, you enter into a courtyard that gives you access to the laundry, kitchen, & extra bedroom as well as a corridor to the lower level. Taking the corridor brings you to the dipping pool as well as the entrance to the master bed room.
The windows are also covered with security blinds on the outside. There is actually no glass in any of the windows & doors except the upstairs balcony doors. This is cool but it can get exceptionally loud on the weekends from Isabel & some nights, the wildlife can get very loud if you are a light sleeper.
Upon arrival, our escort warned about crime. He may have overdone it though as I felt like we needed to use the Bedroom as a safe room. It kept us on pins & needles until I talked to a few locals. They said there is a lot of theft but if you kept the house locked while you were away (including walks on the beach), there would not be a problem.
My biggest complaint is it can be louder than I expected. Parking can also pose a challenge as there is a church 50 feet up the road & they seem to congregate every other day. On Sunday, you will feel like you are in the service if you try to sleep in. We were also told where we could & could not park due to the garbage truck needing to make a turn from a perpendicular street. This turned out to be inaccurate. You need to park past the house in front the empty lot to the right.
All in all, the house is nice, offers a lot of features especially if you like to cook. At the end of the day, you will feel like you live on the island due to the location. I rated this place 4 stars, but others could possibly give it a 1 if they want seclusion & a Ritz Carlton experience.
Bravos Boy's would get a 5 star rating as they are accommodating, quick to resolve any issues & a great organization.

Wonderful property managed by the Bravos Boyz - perfect in every way. Well equipped, clean, great location near town of Isabella.
