What a perfect house to vacation in on the lovely isle of Vieques. Comfortable, well cared for and relaxed living. The warm breeze comes through your room in the morning along with the coo of the doves. Great central location. This house has everything you need - modern amenities, a terrific pool and lovely patio for outdoor meals - all with island charm. Just can't say enough about the house and the beauty of the Island. Can't wait to come back!

We recently visited the beautiful island of Vieques and stayed at La Escapada. This was our first time visiting Vieques and we found it to be absolutely unique and amazing in its charm and vibe. The island is accesible, safe, and incredibly scenic. If you're looking for the Caribbean like it used to be, this is it. We found La Escapada to be ideally located too, minutes from some outstanding beaches, restaurants/bars and shops. The home itfelf was absolutely amazing... clean, bright, and nestled in the Pilon Hills on a large, lushly landscaped piece of property complet with Coconut Palms, mango trees, and bright flowers. Everything you need is there, from a full kitchen to snorkel gear, books, laundry,etc. The rooms were big and nicely decorated with ceiling fans throughout. The pool is also one of the stars here. It's cool, deep and big. Definitely a a great feature when relaxing around the house. Vieques isn't your typical Caribbean resort island and as a seasoned Caribbean traveler, I'm almost hesitant to be too effusive in my praise for fear it'll turn into one. That said, it has some of the best beaches I've seen in the Caribbean with Blue Beach, Navio, and Sombe Beach being at the top of the list... The little harbor town of Esperanza was quaint and picturesque. It's lined with great little bars and restaurants and is definitely the place to be at night. If you're looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay that's close to everything I'd highly recommend La Escapada.
