Description from the owner
New construction. 2 bedroom suite with large bath, walk in shower, double sinks. Full kitchen, everything new. Beautifull views of the main island, Culebra, and St. Thomas. Quiet secure neighborhood. Discover what the Caribbean used to be like.....no crowded beaches, no stoplights, cruise ships, or buildings over 3 stories high. What Vieques does have are many choices for fine dining, funky Caribbean bars, and restaurants featuring local Puertorican cuisine. We also recommend spending an evening touring what many consider the worlds best bioluminiscent bay. You also won't be dealing with absentee owners. We live onsite and will be happy to he...Read more

Pine RiverA beautiful, stress free, comfortable place to stay.
Left on 03/02/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Gracious, helpful, and fun hosts. Clean, spacious apartment with a great view of the ocean. Renting a car from them was easy and necessary to get around the island. Mark helped us know where to go and how to get to the best beach for the day depending on the wind direction. He was incredibly helpful with making sure we had everything we needed for a stress free vacation.

We loved our stay. We were pleasantly surprised at the place. It was larger and nicer than it looked in the pictures. It had a great view, on a hill, about a mile outside of town. But we were even more suprised at the graciousness of the hosts, Mark and Cheryl. They were very accomodating, and helpful. It was our first time on the island, and they pointed out all the important places to go. There were maps and snorkels and beach gear available to use, and they took care of us from the airport in San Juan until they dropped us off at the end of the weekend. Can't wait until next time!

Washington, DCWhat a great place to stay in paradise!
Left on 02/02/2013 for a stay in January 2013
This place far exceeded our expectations. Mark and Che, the owners, were both great people and incredibly helpful. From arranging transportation from San Juan to Fajardo, to picking us up from the ferry, to giving us the inside scoop on the best beaches and restaurants, they couldn't have been better. The property was new and beautiful and complete with everything we needed. Even more convenient was the fact that they have an SUV for rent so we didn't have to bother with high prices of big name rental companies. The property was in a great location, just outside of town, about 200 yards from the beach. When we come back, we plan to bring another couple for the second bedroom to split the already reasonable price in half. Overall, we highly recommend Costa Norte Suites and we are sure you will love it as much as we did!

USAA wonderful Christmas getaway
Left on 01/27/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We had a wonderful Christmas vacation in Vieques. The apartment owned by Mark and Cheryl was great. After a long travel day, Mark was waiting to pick us up at the Ferry, stopped for some grocieries and settled in the beautiful two bedroom apartment. We loved the beaches, the bio bay and took a amazing horseback ride around the island. Mark and Cheryl were most helpful and the tour they gave us of the island made it easy to find our way around hassle free. A very relaxing layed back week. Being able to rent the car directly from them was a major plus!

The apartment is spacious and clean with a great bathroom, and comfortable beds. Mark and Cheryl are wonderful hosts who provided helpful advice about the island and even shared their home grown tomatoes with us.
We took Mark up on his offer to get us some groceries in advance, which was super nice. He picked us up from the ferry in the car that we rented from him and dropped us back off when it was time to go back. Everything was very laid-back and easy.
We really enjoyed our stay! -

If you want to soak it in without trying too hard, Cheryl and Mark's place is more than perfect. Helpful without being intrusive, they added a unique flavor to our break that wouldn't have been possible in the finest of resorts. Mark went out of his way to help us plan our days, choose the right sea food ( fresh from the fish mongers!), made some fillets for us and helped us generously with his homemade marinade. He is truly the Santa of the Carribean. That aside the suites are done tastefully, very clean and every detail has been thought through...we are headed back for sure. The Mutsuddis (family of four)

Costa Norte is fantastic for a group of four people. It's removed (~1.5 miles?) from the hustle and bustle of town. It has an awesome view of Vieques, the ocean, Puerto Rico, Culebra, St. Thomas, and St. John. It has a very comfortable living room and a nice big bathroom with a walk-in shower. The bedrooms are comfortable and well ventilated, and we never even used our a/C. There's ample snorkeling gear, a washer/dryer included for your use. There's also an available Jeep Cherokee to rent during your stay -way easier and less conspicuous than the rental jeeps from the agencies. And best of all, Mark and Cheryl, who own the property, live upstairs and are sooo accomodating and helpful. There's nothing like local knowledge and stories to help with an easy and fun vacation. It was just awesome. We'd highly recommend staying here.

Atlanta, GAAbsolutely amazing Experience
Left on 02/04/2011 for a stay in December 2010
After a long year of too much work, I needed a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the corporate world. Originally, I considered San Juan and other places in the Caribbean, but I was never that thrilled about staying on some resort or in some hotel with a bunch of tourists. Some research drew me to the island of Vieques as an undiscovered beauty within easy reach of the states. After evaluating the options on the island, I reached out to Mark to find out about his apartment. From the very beginning, Mark was super friendly and very helpful in figuring out how we should plan our trip. From arrival to the island and on, Mark was available at all times to advise us on where we should go, what we should, and how we should allocate our time. Heck, he even taught me how to open up coconuts and gave me a machette to take to the beach!! The apartment was great and made me feel like I was back home, with a ton of room, a great sound system/tv, great kitchen, beautiful bathroom. Mark made our stay a very memorable one and the advise he gave us - advise that sent us to some amazing undiscovered places - was spot on. I would love to come back here and stay there again.

Portland, MEBeyond expectations...
Left on 02/01/2011 for a stay in January 2011
From start to finish our stay exceeded our expectations. The entire stay it felt as if we were staying with good old friends, they were extremely helpful. They coordinated a ride from the airport to the ferry. Mark was waiting to pick us up when the ferry docked in Vieques. He gave us a quick tour of Isabel Segunda and was happy to answer as many of our dozens of questions as the short drive to the house permitted. The next morning Mark gave us a quick tour of the island pointing out highlights as well as local perspective and insight. This set the framework for an excellent week of exploring and relaxing. The entire visit Mark and Cheryl were extremely accommodating. With their suggestions we were able to visit the best beaches, avoid the "tourist trap tours? and generally maximize the overall enjoyment of the vacation.
The house is perched on a hillside overlooking the north shore of Vieques. From the patio you can take in magnificent views of the ocean. The subtle sound of the breaking waves is a gentle reminder that you're definitely on vacation. From the hammock hung outside we enjoyed several brilliant sunsets. The accommodations easily satisfied rule number one...cleanliness. A very comfortable place to spend the vacation. It was also spacious...lots of room to unpack and spread out. It contained all those conveniences of home (bbq, microwave, toaster large fridge etc.) as well as a few extras...the snorkeling equipment came in quite handy when hitting the beaches as did the cooler, beach towels and chairs... It was nice to have the beach gear without having to bring it from home.
Overall a very memorable vacation...highly recommended.

This is a luxurious condo with exceptional service. Mark's assistance was limitless. From the moment we were picked up at the air port in our rental vehicle and given a guided tour of the island, to being dropped off at the ferry dock very early am to return home, Mark was constantly available to assist us. His knowledge of everything on the island was most helpful. Everything we needed was included (coolers, grills, towels, snorkeling gear, etc.). Snorkeling with sea turtles and visiting the Biobay are just two of the experiences we will never forget. If you are looking to relax in the tropics...this is paradise!!

Left on 09/09/2009 for a stay in February 2008
Mark and Cheryl are warm and gracious hosts who made our stay at Costa
Norte suites simply RELAXING! They've been "full-timers" long enough to
know the the island extremely well; the language, the locals, the best
beaches, and even the "quirks" associated with living on any Caribbean
island. Cheryl directed us to the best places to eat, having worked at
many of the local restaurants herself. Costa Norte is located just above
beautiful Sea Glass Beach with the most STUNNING panoramic views of the
Caribbean on the Atlantic side; views of mainland Puerto Rico, Culebra
,and St. Thomas. On a clear day, Mark swears you can see Jost Van Dyke!
In the evening we enjoyed equally spectacular sunsets on the deck
sipping rum drinks in the tradewind breezes. The Suites are beautifully
designed and decorated for Caribbean living. Morning coffee with a view
are just a step outside.I loved the open floor plan of the living room
and kitchen. The bedrooms are roomy and so comfortable. And I especially
loved the large open, tiled shower in the Bathroom. EVERY amenity you
could possibly need is provided. The area is a quiet family
neighborhood; the grounds have been lovingly landscaped by Mark and
Cheryl.
We plan to go back to Costa Norte again and again. Mark and
Cheryl showed us what a jewel in the Spanish Caribbean looks like.. Ahh

Having stayed at Costa Del Norte, I can attest to the fact that it is exactly as described. Gracious hosts Mark and Cheryl Robertson have a thorough knowledge of the island and its attractions. Vieques Island offers beautiful, secluded beaches and old style Carribean charm. This is a wonderful place to stay for a truly relaxing vacation.
