You never know when you book a villa online what it will actually turn out to be. In this case, we had no idea that our villa would be so magnificent! I woke up the first morning to a billion dollar view. I spoke to Orietta Sorvillo the first night there and she was nothing but helpful and gracious. Her caretaker Luis went above and beyond the call of duty. He was always helpful and by the end of the trip Luis and his family were our friends! I will be returning here and bringing my family with me next time. I loved this villa!!! I didn't want to leave.

I have been few times in Costiera and probaly had the best stay in Villa Sorvillo. The villa is an ancient house on the top of Vietri, the first town of the Costiera starting from Salerno. The view is impressive on the both sides, the Costiera one and the Salerno gulf one. The closeness to the town of Vietri makes easy the access to facilities such as restaurants and the famous vietri potteries, without the need of a car. The position in the Costiera is strategic since it is few minutes away from Salerno and the major motorways. As to the Villa, apart from the view, it has to be highlighted the beauty of the interior, that has been restored with all comforts but preserved its authentic style. This is surely a great solution for an holiday in Costiera for a group of friends or a family.

I stayed at Villa Sorvillo for 1 week with friends in September '09 and I can say that the Villa exceeded all my expectations.
The villa sits in a very quite road on top of Vietri sul mare overlooking the the Salerno and Vietri bay. The view from the rooms and from the terrace is breathtaking. Waking up in the morning and seeing hundreds of small little white boats sailing on the blue sea a memory I will never forget. The villa is at walking distance from Vietri's centre and not far from Salerno, a very good place for nightlife activities (plenty of pubs, clubs, restaurants there).
Aside from the location, what really impressed us was the Villa itself. The rooms are huge and comfortable and the atmosphere in the house is unique. It is amazing what a good value for the money this place is.
Finally, a big thanks to Orietta and Luigi who have been very friendly and hospitable.
The Amalfi coast and Villa Sorvillo are places like no others and I'll definitely be back as soon as possible.

I only have amazing memories from my stays at Villa Sorvillo in Vietri.
Starting from the amazingly wonderful location, overlooking the Salerno gulf, with the Amalfi Coast on your right, waking up in this Villa makes every morning a special one: the very high ceilings in the rooms give you the space and breath that you will then find again, multiplied by 100, opening the windows to this stunning view: is there a better way to start your day?
Yes, because then you will have only great food, from seafood to mozzarella to pasta to pizza, everything is delicious and tasty and opens your senses to amazing new experiences that you will never forget, having dinner in the lovely "terrazza" overlooking the sea, with the stars as a ceiling.
Staying in Villa Sorvillo is an experience that I highly recommend to anyone who loves peace and relax in a great old fashion location, stunning blue sea, amazing views and great food.
If you like to shake your body, you can go to Salerno which is only 10 minutes drive from Villa Sorvillo and enjoy the nightlife with clubs and bars (all in the city centre) or simply have a beer in one of the piazzas that are always full of young people after dinner.
Enjoy your stay as I'm sure it will be an experience that you will never forget. -

When I first arrived to the Villa, although I have seen the pictures, I could not believe my eyes. Villa Sorvillo has one of the best sea and Amalfi Cost views. From the huge terrace, decorated with beautifulll flowers and plants,among the beautifull Mediterranean trees (still living with the bullet holes from WWII), it is just the sea view, the colorfull domes of the Amalfi Churches and the bay of Salerno . The villa itself is facinating with high ceilings, antic furniture, sculptures, paintings an photos screaming history with a very pleasant light inside thtough the big windows and thick walls to keep the villa cool enough to survive the outside heat. It is very clean and comfortable. Location is perfect to visit the whole Amalfi Coast and Capri easy to reach with the ferries from Salerno. The beach in Vietri is pretty with beach clubs and the small pretty village itself offers different opportunities for food, Italian coffee and sweets. I have stayed in Villa Sorvillo over 5 times up to now and every year I am just looking forward to go back.

I will never forget the view from the balcony. You wake up and you have the mediterranean in front of you, the costiera amalfitana running on your right, they dome of the church and the lemon trees surrounding the villa. Magnificent!
The villa is perfectly clean, comfortable, very wide and guarantees privacy and you can always enjoy a glass of wine from the balcony which worth any ticket's plane...
The location is perfect for hanging around without taking a car
Ask for any advice about beaches, places to go or restaurant to the management. They are more than nice, speak perfect english and will really help you out, which is priceless

The Villa is unique for its beauty and its location and it makes even more enjoyable a holiday in this beautiful and fascinating part of Italy.
Spacious , confy , quite , "Villa Sorvillo" will fulfill any of your needs either your coming with your family or for a romantic holiday with your partner.
Close to all the amenities ( markets , restaurants , bus stop etcc...) and with a stunning view of Vietri , Villa Sorvillo is a place I sincerely reccomend to all of you who are willing to spend an unforgettable holiday in one of the most famous italian "must see" spot.

I stayed at Villa Sorvillo for a few days in late summer of 2008 and I wish I
could do it again soon. It is located in an ideal place, as it is in walking distance
from the picturesque town of Vietri and also in great proximity to many
beautiful destinations along the coast of Amalfi and to the Salerno port from
which the boats depart for their short trip to Capri.
The house is very spacious and has a great feel created by the plentiful
sunlight, the magnificent view and the calmness of the location. It is big
enough to accommodate a great number of guests and was equipped with
everything necessary for a convenient stay.
