Description
The village house of Pison de Fondon, is in a tranquil and rural village. A quality lodging for four people, it is in a setting where peace and rest are a part of everyday life.
This beautiful house is in a quiet mountain village. It is ideal for exploring the natural beauty of this area with access to the peaks, valleys and the most beautiful beaches in Spain.
This pretty village house, with its preserved stone walls and antique furniture, is bursting with rural charm; everything from the magnificent surroundings to the use of ecological restoration materials makes this a delightful and characterful place to stay.
Original stonework can be seen both inside and out, and we used ‘ecological’ paints for the rendered wall surfaces. The chestnut ceilings and floorboards are treated with ‘ecological’ oils and dyes and most of the furniture is either restored or antique.
There are two floors.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms with double and twin beds and a fully-equipped, shared bathroom.
The bed clothes are made from organic ‘ecological’ cotton and linen, with fluffy feather eiderdowns and pure wool blankets.
On the ground floor there is a kitchen fitted with an oven and hob, fridge with freezer, washing machine, microwave oven, toaster, electric food-mixer, electric fruit squeezer, ironing board and cooking equipment. The open plan space includes a sitting area with sofa and armchairs, a wood-burning stove and TV/DVD with USB. We have a handful of films and you can bring your favourites too.
This looks on to a large patio of 100 square metres with wooden outdoor furniture, including a barbecue, table and chairs and recliners. Completely enclosed, you can enjoy peace, quiet and tranquillity here.
We make every effort to reduce our ecological impact so that you can enjoy a healthy and pleasant environment. In line with this the house is a non-smoking area.

"Well, we have had a lot of experience of all kinds of accommodation and, this time round, we wanted to try out something in a totally rural environment and, to be honest, we have come away delighted. There is nothing lacking to the house itself and, in addition, you notice when you go in that it has all those things that give you that sense of warmth that makes your stay pleasant. Aside from that I should mention the owner, Carmen. It is a real pleasure to meet a host like her. We were pleasantly surprised by her manner, the personal attention she showed and the good person she showed herself to be. We warmly recommend this house to anyone who wants to get to know Asturias well."
