Description
Cortijo la solana is a beautiful old stone built Cortijo ( farmhouse ) lovingly restored by the owners David and Diana Worthy who back in the UK ran the Crich Pottery in Derbyshire. With a stunning rural location , 40 minutes from Malaga airport in the shadow of El Torcal Natural Park, near Antequera , la solana is a perfect paradise to get away from the madding crowds !!
Here at Cortijo la solana , the owners have created a small working farm where guests are welcome to enjoy our alpacas , donkeys ,dogs ,cats and other 4 legged friends . Just brilliant for children and all who love the countryside.
Tastefully converted self catering accommodation with swimming pool , consisting of the main Cortijo ( Farmhouse ) which has 3 double bedrooms all en suite plus La Casita alongside - a small one double bedroom ( en suite ) house with double Futon for extra sleeping - both can be rented together or separately each having their own private space.
PLEASE NOTE that during the Summer months , occupants of the Cortijo will have exclusivity and the Casita will not be rented out unless the two are booked together.
The buildings remain true to local rustic traditions with extensive use of tile, wooden beams and stonework throughout - giving a truly Andaluz feel.
Perfectly situated, 3km from the village of Villlanueva de la concepcion, 20 km from Antequera the house is ideal for day trips to Seville 2 hours, Cordoba 2.5 hours , Granada 1.5 hours and Malaga just 45 mins .
