Island Dream has a spectacular 180 degree sunset-facing panoramic view from each room on its cozy 1/2 acre among palms and tropical flowers. Each bedroom has its own private balcony facing the sea . A rock garden merging with native plants on a hillside surrounds one side of the pool and the other side, bordered with varied tropical plants, looks out to the sea. Since we like to cook, our kitchen has more amenities ( bundt and soufflé pans, for instance!) than many rentals .

Each bedroom has a private balcony and each bathroom opens to an outdoor shower within flower-covered rocks. There are no other houses on its road or behind it. Three beautiful, secluded beaches are a short walk away and have fantastic snorkeling. One beach has chairs and umbrellas; the others are pristine.
Island Dream is on a gently sloping hill about 100 yards from the Caribbean Sea. It is the only house on the road and no other villas are behind or in front of it so it feels like being almost alone in a gorgeous national park. It is also a short walk to the Nail Bay resort. There you will find a large pool with pool-side bar and grill, tennis court ( which I.D. renters may use), as well as a beautiful garden with picnic tables among the Sugar Mill plantation ruins.
The landscaping was designed by one of the foremost landscape designers in the Caribbean and includes a rare guavaberry tree, starfruit tree, two kinds of mango trees, papayas trees, key lime tree, banana and pineapple plants as well as a lovely tropical garden and rock garden.

PAYMENT and POLICY: 50% of the rent is due within 7 days of booking to confirm your reservation. The balance of the rent is due 45 days prior to your arrival. No-shows, late arrivals, change in number of persons, and early departures after arrival are non-refundable. (see hurricane policy, below). No refunds will be granted .We will consider exceptions in this case: there is a problem while you are in the house that cannot be cured within 24 hours, or which causes you extreme and undue discomfort or serious inconvenience. If you abandon the villa without the authority of our managers, you have no rights to compensation. CANCELLATION POLICY: There is no refund unless the property can be re-booked for the same rate and time. If the property can be rented under these conditions 80% of the payment made will be refunded. We strongly suggest you purchase travel insurance to cover your costs in the event you are forced to cancel.

New Yorksun and moon beams, an Island dream

Beautiful, beautiful Island Dream. A real treat for us New Yorkers!! Among the tropical palm and fruit trees, flowers and just drop-ded gorgeous viwes... the main deck partly within the brush like an almost hidden surprise. Darling bed rooms... pleasantly sunny but airy. We hardly used the sweet sweet decks off the rooms , as we were happy to sit either inside or out. The house was supplied with many more helpful kitchenware than we are used to expecting from other rentals. As we love art, even that was a nice surprise..good art work, pictures and some originals too...there were games as well as recipes for good Island drinks (which made the card/board/games even more fun) Island Dream was definitely a gem! . The pool is lovely. The road up was fun!! a real dirt road... quite manageable, and a good place to spy lazy lizzards, plus we often saw a white egret sitting in the road every day. We liked our being tucked away in a nice private place. will be back to sun and moon beams.

My husband and I have stayed in many accommodations in the us and British VI, and Island Dream is far and away the most romantic, picture-perfect location we've found. The Caribbean colors inside and out, the light and airy rooms, actual artwork on the walls, the many decks, the lush landscaping, all made for a totally relaxing stay in a beautiful environment. The house and grounds were impeccably maintained, and the views were fabulous from sunup to sundown. The stars at night were amazing - we even saw some shooting stars! Loved the isolation and quiet. And if you just can't unplug, there's even a great, fast Wifi connection. 5 stars & 2 thumbs up!

This is an incredibly beautiful cottage on VG. My husband and I had a very relaxing and peaceful ten days. It was perfect for the two of us---very, very private. The pictures on-line are accurate, but there is so much more there that is wonderful that the pictures do not show, such as the beautiful gardens and vegetation---fruit trees (such as mango, banana, lime, and papaya), beautiful palm trees and flowers---the fabulous stairway going up to the bedrooms (there is a skylight in this area), a very nice collection of books (I loved the cookbooks and we enjoyed the books on VG and the sea life there), and the artwork is divine. The new deck is perfectly situated, perfect for cocktails at sunset (I don't think there is a picture online of this feature). This property is very well maintained and clean. . The beaches are unspoiled, the air on VG is so fresh and fragrant, the mountains have not been cut into with villas---yet!!(like on ST. John), and the people of VG have genuine smiles on their faces and appear to be happy, unlike some of the people on other VI. That was most refreshing. It was so easy for us to get around and go places. The discovery of fresh, ground nutmeg on the top of a pina colada was a big treat! Thank you, Mary, for having some wonderful nutmeg available and a great mixer to make our daily pina coladas---our happy hour drink poolside or on the lanai. We enjoyed our trip to Saba Rock and had fabulous burgers there for lunch. Mostly, we enjoyed hanging out on the lanai in the morning with our coffee, and watching Sir Drake Channel come alive with boats. We enjoyed watching the rain come ashore. Shoot, we just enjoyed being able to experience rain. We enjoyed happy hour by the pool and watching the day change into night. The pool water was always a refreshing temp., never too cool or too warm. A million thanks to the owners and to Howard and Irma.

We have been to Island Dream many times and truly love eavh
visit. The beautiful, peaceful sea views from every room are amazing. We love the snorkeling at the beach which is
only minutes away; we spend much time reading and swimming at this quietly stunning white beach, Mt Trunk.
The pools, both at the house and at the resort, are refreshinly wonderful. We certainly will return, hopefully again next year. -

Resting and soaking in the beauty of Virgin Gorda was easy here, but what I enjoyed just as much was walking on the beaches and hiking the big hill. It was 45 minutes on the newly paved road (very few vehicles) to the beaches, or if you want an amazing view from the top of the big hill, hike the road up from the house. Sit in Hog's Heaven where the bar wraps around three sides looking out over the sea, bay, sailboats, luxury yachts - and have reasonably priced excellent food and drinks. Then after your hike - hop into the pool or slide into the private outdoor shower!

The two bedroom/bath/porch combo allows for individual, quiet space for two couples---if you'd ever want to leave the front porch or swimming pool. The kitchen is compact, but has everything you need. I love the private outdoor shower. Virgin Gorda itself is one of those quiet island paradises. It seems like an exaggeration when people talk about it, but it's indeed gorgeous with awesome beaches. My favorite is a place that most tourists miss. It's right next to The Baths that can often be overrun by the cruise ship hoards. They don't have a clue you're close by and enjoying a very similar experience with just another couple or two!

Island Dream Villa was a delight in every way! I had visited the Caribbean several times (six islands, hotels small and large as well as cottages) before staying in Virgin Gorda at Island Dream. This was my most relaxing and satisfying experience in the islands yet: a very lovely, quiet, private place with gorgeous views and beaches with wonderful snorkeling a short walk away. We saw every kind of fish and turtle, "up close and personal" and found amazing shells and tiny white starfish on the beach.
My husband and I also found so many ways to totally relax on the deck or around the pool, or just puttering in the kitchen, which seemed to have everything we could possibly need. Views of blue, blue skies and water from every window.
It was a beautiful and comfortable place. We slept so well. Whoever decorated the house has great taste! The outdoor shower, surrounded by lush vegetation, was a new and special treat for me. I felt kind of like I was in a novel.
We also took Mary's suggestions on adventures around the island, like The Baths (loved climbing around and through them)... when we could bring ourselves to leave the Nail Bay beaches. Writing this makes me want to go back again, soon. Perfect vacation in every way.
