Sunset Watch Villas, nestled in the hillside at Nail Bay, offer comfort, beauty and tranquility in the most lush, tropical and peaceful setting. The views from every room are spectacular - even from the outdoor shower in the upper level - gorgeous blue/green ocean, The Dog Islands, and, of course, spectacular sunsets.
An expansive balcony, facing Nail Bay, and above the pool, has an abundance of seating for relaxing and dining. Beautiful stone steps lead to a private beach - snorkeling gear and beach chairs are provided - a picnic table and kayaks await you at the beach - snorkeling right there in Nail Bay is excellent! An expansive stone patio has a lovely pool with an amazing view of the bay. The patio extends towards the ocean with plenty of comfortable chaise lounges - another perfect spot to enjoy the sunsets! The upper and lower levels both boast fully equipped kitchens, each has a gas grill, and yet another grill is provided out by the pool.
Sonny, the lovely caretaker, is a wonderful resource - where to go, what to do - and he truly seems to enjoy taking great care of Sunset Watch's guests. He met us at the airport upon our arrival and directed us to Sunset Watch and made sure we had everything we needed and knew where everything was. Sonny also made sure we knew how to use the sound system, TV, movies and iPads. Sonny is a real gem!
It is a short walk up to Nail Bay Resort's Sugarcane Restaurant, if you want to stay close to 'home.' And there is plenty to do and see on the island if you want to explore. The Baths are a must - a day trip to anagada was fabulous - a small bar and restaurant at one of the highest spots on the island, called Hog Heaven, offered the most amazing views! Again, there is plenty to do, but Sunset Watch offers so much one really doesn't need to leave the villas!
Comfort, superb amenities, breathtaking views, lush vegetation - Sunset Watch is just about perfect! Yes, a little slice of heaven.

From the very moment we were greeted at the dock by Sonny until the moment we left, the service was outstanding and accommodating. My wife and I rented Sunset Watch for 8 days in mid-January and expected to get some rest and relaxation, but what we found was so much more...
First of all, the villa has everything from an iPad and integrated sound system to new washer and dryer. The kitchen is stocked with spices and tools to prepare excellent meals with ease. The shower upstairs is semi exposed, which I was not sure I was going to like. However, one day after we had returned from snorkeling, I jumped in the shower and I looked out onto the ocean and was watching the sail boats go by. Then it started to drizzle in complete sunshine. The shower was completely shielded from the weather but you could feel the sun, hear the ocean, the rain, and the birds singing. It was then I realized... Yep! I like the shower.
Another one of my favorite parts of staying at Sunset Watch was the easy access to the beach. My wife and I would literally walk down the stairs to, what seemed like, a private beach.
The view is one of a kind. There are very few houses on the island that offer such a broad, unique, and private view of the ocean. You feel like there is no one around.
The bed is king and is very comfortable. There is satellite TV which we found very convenient for the music channels that we would stream all over the house.
All in all, my wife and I like to travel and we find value in comfort and don't mind paying more for better room, but this seemed to have surpassed every expectation that we had.
This became less of a vacation and more of an experience, in every sense of the word. And this home was more than a rental property; it was a rejuvenation tool that provided us with experiences that will last a lifetime.

This was not our first stay at Sunset Watch or Nail Bay. We have stayed in many of the other units beginning in 1996. Sunset Watch is always our favorite and most like being home, only in paradise! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We most enjoy taking another couple and using the entire house. The kitchens are well stocked with spices and equipment. Eating an easy dinner on the upper deck porch watching the sunset is indescribably beautiful. Coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon taste better over looking the St. Francis Drake Sound at the Dog Islands. The pool is so enjoyable when you get home from an "exhausting" day of sightseeing or snorkeling. We always spend most of our time on the property, not needing to stray too far. One of the best beaches on the island is just a few steps away on Mountain Trunk. There is plenty to do on Virgin Gorda, but you can stay at Sunset Watch and just forget that the rest of the world exists.
