New gazebo on top affords amazing views of the sunsets, the Caribbean, and the full moon, as it pops up behind Gorda Peak. Kitchen for serious cooks. Private Wifi. Weber Grill. Satellite TV. Decks surround the main house, with one kingsized bedroom and a twinned bedroom downstairs. Bel Sole is the newest kingsized bedroom. Cross a bridge to get to Piccolo Sole, kingsized bedroom. We rent only to one group at a time. 2-8 people. Snorkeling in Mahoebay is fabulous.

To begin, I have rented vacation homes in the Caribbean several times. On this, our second stay on Virgin Gorda, we decided to rent a home. This proved to be a fortunate decision. Villa del Sole is precisely what to expect from a Caribbean villa.
The there are three separate buildings that make up Villa del Sole. The main buildings interior was clean, spacious and fully appointed. With a desk, sectional couch, dining table, breakfast bar. The main building has a master bedroom, bath and TV also. The other buildings are bedrooms and another is an efficiency with a small kitchenette.
Furnishings were provided included all kitchen utensils and cooking pots/pans, coffee maker (special one..thanks to the owner), linens provided and so are towels (changed frequently by housekeeping staff (more on them later), WiFi (subject to typical 'island outages'), satellite TV, DVD, stereo.
Only the bedrooms have air conditioning, which is essential for sleeping, but the main house has a constant breeze, it is not needed in the kitchen/dining area, it simply is cool.
The pool and patio have more than enough chairs to accommodate all our group. The patio is west facing- so you get more direct sun in the afternoon. The benefit of that view is an exceptional position for watching the sun set...which we enjoyed for 9 nights. The downside is that the patio gets really hot. Wear sandals.
Believe it or not, there was only one rain storm (couple of hours) for the entire 10 days we stayed. Considering it was august, that is a great outcome.
The pool was clear and clean kidney shaped. The staff cleaned it every two days, we had a skimmer if bugs or leaves fell in it. As for the rest of the staff, wow. They were great. We had an a/C unit kick the bucket the first night, it was replaced that day- even though it was a Sunday. Sheets, kitchen, bedrooms an baths were cleaned everyday.
The beach is exceptional, clean, clear, perfect for snorkeling.. Frankly, it is one of the most secluded beaches we have ha the pleasure of staying at. There were some jelly fish that appeared this year. We were told jellyfish appearances in the Bay was highly unusual, from other owners of villas nearby.
For those considering Virgin Gorda, this is a highly recommended property and although it takes a while to get here (the island that is, the house is only 6 minutes from the airport) It is simply the best. -

The setting and views are awesome. From the porch or the gazebo, the views across to Beef Island are so very gorgeous. The sunsets are incredible: the sky is always filled with dramatic clouds and bold colors. We were treated to this incredible explosion of color night after night.
The house itself is very comfortable and gracious. It feels "just right" for two people or for eight people. Each of the four bedrooms is very private. And you haven't "lived" until you take shower in one of the private indoor/outdoor shower enclosures.
The beach is only steps away. A half mile of sandy, gorgeous sunbathing. Great snorkeling in clear waters that feature beautiful clusters of coral. The private pool is a great place to finish off a day at the beach.

The simple pleasures in life are all yours at Villa del Sole in Virgin Gorda, BVI. This spacious villa, with its magnificent views, lush tropical foliage, and crystal clear pool, is vacation perfection. Villa del Sole is a short drive to town, a quick walk to the beach, and close to hiking trails. I have stayed at Villa Del Sole many times. There is a magical quality about Virgin Gorda and its people. For me, Villa del Sole offers peace, tranquility, and total rejuvenation.
