Sunset Watch, a private two-story home, is perched over Nail Bay Beach with the expanse of ocean and green islands beyond, and is comprised of two separate floors, the Upper and the Lower Deck levels. On the Upper Deck's level, a Chinese terracotta soldier welcomes you into the large, L-shaped covered verandah, plushly furnished with a sink-into sofa and armchairs, a dining table for six, and a lazy hammock - this is the romantic spot to laze away idle hours reading, napping or watching yachts pass by day, savoring a tropical sunset, or stargazing by night. The Upper Deck level is a compact but inc...redibly well-equipped pi?d-a-terre for two: this Level offers a true gourmet kitchen complete with many appliances from breadmaker to Cuisinart, wine cooler, wet bar, and a generous array of chef's gadgets and cookware, spices and cookbooks. A herb garden is located behind this house where you can harvest fresh basil and lemon grass. A kitchen island separates all this from a small living area with a sofa facing the 180-degree ocean view. Screen and glass sliders on two sides open to the covered porch outside. Adjacent is the king bedroom with a generous bath ensuite which features double sinks, a separate WC with a bidet and an exotic alfresco shower.
On the Lower Deck level of Sunset Watch, a shaded garden patio ushers you into the Lower Deck's sitting room/kitchen area. This level also offers central air-conditioning, a very well-equipped kitchen with a variety of appliances and cookware, a king bedroom adorned with a handpainted mural on its wall, an ensuite bath which features double sinks, a jacuzzi bathtub with shower, an exotic alfresco shower, and a separate WC. The garden patio just outside is set up for alfresco dining.
Just below Sunset Watch is the property's expansive terrace and swimming pool, which is yours alone when you're renting both Levels. This beautiful entertainment area is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping for perfect privacy. At the pool are four chaise lounges for sunning and an umbrella for shade; a few steps up from the flagstone pool deck is a spacious terrace with more chaise lounges overlooking the superb sea views, a shady canvas-roofed pavilion for dining on the terrace, a bar with chairs, a curve of bench seating and a second gas grill all combine to celebrate outdoor island living. But if you wish to stroll on the sands of Nail Bay Beach below, beachcomb or snorkel, a stone staircase leads down to the beach from the gardens. Sunset Watch is a very private sanctuary, so charming with its Caribbean blue gingerbread trim and tropical flowers - you'll find it surprisingly well equipped and a wonderful location for a comfortable villa holiday.

All guests renting Sunset Watch (2 BRs) may use the Nail Bay beaches, the tennis court (open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily), and the community swimming pool at no additional charge, and may also patronize the bar and restaurant in Nail Bay.
Natural beauty is in abundance on the third largest of the British Virgin Islands. Explore the indigenous plant-lined trails, nature sanctuaries and natural wonders of the protected national parks. By mid-morning in Virgin Gorda, many have settled down on one of the many deserted beaches that fringe the island. The pace of life is slow on Virgin Gorda, but if you don't want to spend the day on a beach, there are plenty of other activities. You could explore The Baths- huge boulders provide a myriad of rock pools, secret beaches, and trails. Or spend the morning at a hillside restaurant cooled by gentle breezes while you watch the ferries cross the North Sound far below. Dramatic slopes plunge from Gorda Peak to the turquoise waters below.
