We booked "The Mac Shack" at Sanctuary Realty in November 2011 for our trip the Virginia Beach in august 2012. The service from the rental agents throughout the booking/paying/waiting period was excellent.
The check in process was smooth...the check out even easier.
We absolutely loved the condo! The condo was beautifully furnished, nicely equipped and was an excellent value for our family during our vacation.
Loved sitting out on the balcony in the morning reading my book and then visiting with the 2 other families who were staying in other condos in the evening.
All of us agreed that these condos were great value and that we would be back again!!! -

First, we absolutely love visiting the Sanctuary resort. The location is absolutely wonderful, the condo was neat, clean and modern, and the amenities are spectacular.
This is overshadowed by lackluster and very poor service. My feeling was that guests to the condo are a nuisance to employees' busy schedules. It almost seems like the employees don't have any power to make decisions, which breeds a culture of 9 - 5 only and don't do anything more than is absolutely necessary. God forbid that you should arrive a minute past 5:00, because the place turns into a ghost town. I can't believe that the resort doesn't have 24 hour staffing - especially over busy summer months.
Anyway, if you can get past some employee issues, I think you will have good luck with repeat business. I have stayed there the past 2 years, however it is doubtful if I will come back for a third. I haven't made up my mind quite yet. -

Our family flew down from Massachsuetts to the Sanctuary. The vacation home was beautiful. Plenty of room (three bedrooms, two baths, and all modern conviences.) We loved sitting out on the balcony for morning coffee. Outdoor pool and available grills were great for outddor dining. A couple of the grills were not operating so we had to locate others. My three kids had a blast on the beach as well as on the grounds.
