The Sanctuary Resort and our rented condo were precisely what we were looking for for our family vacation. Sandbridge is a short drive from all the activities in the city and along the boardwalk but far enough away for that restful isolation we were hoping for. The service at the resort was exceptional, with all the welcome materials, keys and linens ready for us when we arrived. The beach area is exceptional as were the pools and grilling areas. The workout room featured all the basics needed. In terms of areas of improvement, we found the food and service at the on-site restaurant to be no better than ordinary and the convenience store requires a significant upgrade in merchandise for the traveling family. Having said that, if you want to experience a restful family vacation with great proximity to outstanding nightlife, national historic sites (Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown) and more, we recommend the Sanctuary Resort. It's an ideal location with all the modern amenities you would hope for.
