The condo was beautiful inside, however, we would have preferred a television in the master bedroom. We were extrmely dissappointed with the "view" and the road traffic noise from the balcony. At the time I made the reservations, the agent stated there was a gorgeous sound view (there were no photos of the view on the website - that should have been a clue!). However, to get to the view - you had to look over electric and telephone wires, and the road, which were distracting. In addition, the check in staff were not very nice - seemed short handed and acted as if by asking a few simple questions they were aggravated. In addition, the elevators and how you get to them are not clearly marked - plus, from our assigned parking space - we had to go up narrow stairs just to get to the elevators. I would never stay at this "resort" ever again.

MontrealGreat Condo and beach, facilities needs improvement

We really enjoyed the condo, it was up to our
standards. The unit was modern and very spacious.
On our arrival we had to mention to caretakers that
there very maggots (hundreds) all over the BBQ area.
This area needs cleaning on a more frequent basis.
BBQs were hard to start. The main pool was out of
service for 6 of the 7 days we were there.
The beach was wonderful.
We will return. -

We had a great time on our vacation last summer. The resort was more than we expected. It was great to be able to spend some time on the beach, go back to the Condo for lunch and then hang by pool in the afternoon (loved the swim up bar). We have 2 girls and there was plenty to keep them occupied. The condo itself was very clean and nicely decorated and had all the amenities that you would need. We love to cook so ate most of our meals at home and found that the kitchen had everything we needed. If we are ever going to be back in Virginia Beach again, we would definitely stay at The Sanctuary again and specifically at Dunes Aglow.
