Fairfax, VAQuiet, family vacation spot

This house was perfect for our family - it is located on a quiet cul de sac overlooking the bay, which provided beautiful water views without the cost of being beach-side. The beach access is located just at the top of the street, so easy to get back and forth, especially since we rented a golf cart for the week. There is an empty lot on one side of the house and the next closest house is quite a distance away, so no need to really worry about neighbors. There is tons of space, indoors and outdoors. Having two kitchens was convenient, and everyone loved the outdoor deck running along almost the entire second level. Since we had lots of family there, and it was nice that the younger relatives could access the house through the basement level without disturbing the older family upstairs. The roof top deck was also a treat. The one major complaint about this house is that there are spider webs, including the spiders, covering everything. With small kids runnning around, this was pretty gross. Otherwise, we loved our stay and will definitely be returning.

My family and I decided to spend a weekend in Va beach to celebrate my sister's 30th and my mom's 60th birthdays. The house was more than accommodating for the 11 of us plus a baby. The bedrooms were split so my sister/her husband/and 5 month old were downstairs with their own bathroom which was perfect for the napping baby. There was also a kitchenette which was perfect for storing extra food and beverages for such a large group. The pool was clean and ended up being where we spent a lot of our time.
Sandbridge was also great. We had check out early Sunday and called to ask if we could have late check out which they easily obliged. Overall, the house was great, the pool and views were beautiful, and sandbridge was friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely rent again. -

The location of the home and neighborhood are excellent. Having the choice to walk to the beachfront is worth the price. A few downfalls to this home were the outdated electronics (television were very small), an appliance or two were inoperable and the exterior patio and deck furniture was old or broken. For a home that sleeps this many, it should offer more than 2 plastic cheers and 4 reclining chairs by the pool. I hope our next choice lives up to the expectations for the money.
