aurorawe loved the beach!
Left on 02/06/2013 for a stay in July 2012
We were definitely there for the beach...the house was fine for us because we are not fancy people and the house worked for us. I loved that it was accessable to the lake and the ocean. The property had a lot of litter in the yard...and although the house is homey and has a great history...it needs some updates...also the electric went out a couple of times..spraying for insects also may be something to consider...Lots of giant spiders and bugs

aliquippaFirst Trip to Sandbridge
Left on 02/06/2013 for a stay in May 2012
2012 was our first trip to Sandbridge. We wanted to go to a beach, and in years past my husband and I would stay at Virginia Beach near the boardwalk, but this was our first vacation in many years and the first one with a toddler. We wanted to go somewhere less hectic and we found it in Sandbridge. Sandbridge is a wonderful little community that is terrific for families. For us, the experience was relaxing, and we found it have much more of a private feel than other beaches. The home we stayed in was quiet, clean, and also had a private feel, which we enjoyed.
After we visted Island Pier, which is probably one of the most picturesque piers ever seen, we ate at Baja Restaurant, which was wonderful. We also had the pleasure of dining at Sandbridge Island Restaurant, which had really good pizza.
We did cook meals at home and visited local farmers for fresh vegetables and we bought freshly caught seafood and had some memorable family meals in our rental home.
Sandbridge was wonderful, and our family had a great time making fantastic memories there together.
