Only a few blocks away from the boardwalk, which makes for a beautiful walk or bike ride along the ocean. A short walk away is the lively Atlantic Avenue, or "the strip" of Virginia, where many restaurants, arcades, and other forms of entertainment are located. Make sure to enjoy all the local golf courses within walking distance, many of which have amazing and interesting themes. Great amusement parks like Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, and Ocean-Breeze are are within driving distance. As an area rich with history, the museums in the Beach area as well as Norfolk (neighboring city 15 minutes away) are great. Many musicians of various genre's can be seen performing at the ocean front, as well as venues such as the Verizon Wireless venue, the nTelos Pavilion, the Scope, and the Norva, all of which are within comfortable driving distance.
