Our charming VOLCANO COTTAGE is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath newer rental located right in Volcano Village. The house is totally private with no neighbor in sight , just lots of tropical tree fern filled forest surrounding you. Very peaceful and tranquil, and a great outside deck to enjoy that morning cup of coffee while listening to the birds in the forest canopy. The owner recently installed a brand new dehumidifier system that is operating full time and plumbed in, so the house has not musty smell and is very dry..There is also an air purifier in each bedroom should you have any problems with allergies. This cottage was surprisingly large, and very very clean and comfortable. We loved the layers of cozy bedding for the cool Volcano nights. It is just 5minutes from the main street, but feels completely quiet and secluded. The full-size laundry facility was very useful. The owner is very friendly and accommodating of our schedule. She also makes and sells absolutely fabulous chocolates with original Kona cocoa. Must try!

This is a nice little cottage, but with a little effort is could be a really nice place to stay. We rented a condo in the resort area north of Kona for the same price and the this didn't come anywhere close to being as nice. To begin with the cottage was very damp inside, not surprising since there is no heat. The wood stove didn't work very well with the wet wood provided and the space heater wasn't enough to heat the cottage. The tv remotes didn't work, no paper towels in the kitchen, poor draining bath tub, running toilet, cracked ice cube tray - just little things that need attention. Almost a nice place to stay.

Perfect place to unwind, listen to the rain, sit around the wood stove and relax. Love this place! Comfortable, clean and has everything you could want. Will surely stay again!
