A little piece of heaven in Waco!

Left on 05/08/2013 for a stay in December 2012

We moved to Waco for a job transfer and were thankful we found the Haley House!
We needed a place to stay while we looked for a home. This was the perfect spot!
It's centrally located near (but not too near) I35 and all the shopping and restaurants along Valley Mills Drive. It's on a tree lined quiet street.
The home is beautifully appointed with 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Oh, and did I mention the comfy beds and fluffy towels? The house is meticulously clean and lovingly maintained. The Haley House is also pet friendly, so our little dog had a fine time coming in and out of the doggy door from the fenced backyard.
The back patio backs up to a creek and the joggers and dog walkers can be seen from across the creek. We ate on the back patio many times and used the grill too!
The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you would ever need! We even used the coffee grinder each morning for fresh coffee!
It's super convenient for Baylor football games as it's just a short walk away. We even did our daily jog around the stadium along with the nice neighbors!

So glad we could be a haven in the midst of your relocation to the Waco area. Our prayer always is, that our home will prove to be a place of relaxation and peace for those that stay with us.
It was wonderful to actually meet you face to face and have lunch with you while on my last trip to Waco.
Thank you again for taking time to review our home.

Left on 02/21/2013 for a stay in February 2013

A friend and I met in Waco which was halfway between our homes. We were looking for a quite place to enjoy catching up after not seeing each other for several years. The Haley House was the perfect location. Staying in a home with all of the conveniences you could ever ask for takes away any stress. The home has been remodeled recently and is very nice. Also, situated in a quiet neighborhood was the icing on the cake. The location provides access to stores, movie theaters, restaurants, and the Baylor Bears stadium across the creek in the backyard if you are in town for the game. If I ever have to stay in Waco from the point on, I will always stay in The Haley House if it is available. Thank you Haleys for opening your home to us!

Left on 10/25/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Was notified very timely with acceptance of dates needed. Upon stepping though front door was surprised with a delightful home. This house is in a nice neighborhood. Five woman stayed the weekend here and had ample supply of thick, soft towels for showering in the two showere. We had everything we needed in this home. The owners have thought of everything, including extra fans in closet if needed for white noise. The bedding was also extremely nice. All around great home.

      Boys Weekend

Left on 10/16/2012 for a stay in October 2012

There were 5 of us last weekend that got together for a golf tournament in Waco with our friends from Baylor. We very much enjoyed the Haley House. The interior had been completely redone- very nice. We pulled the twins out and moved to the living room and had plenty of room- beat a hotel room by a long shot. The neighborhood is what I'd call "Waco nice"- Older, smaller homes that were well kept.

A great place to gather the family!

Left on 05/17/2012 for a stay in April 2012

We rented the Haley House in Waco over the Easter weekend. My daughter attends Baylor University which is about 4 1/2 hours away from our home town. With our family of six, the Haley House is such a great alternative from staying in a hotel. My daughter was baptized at St. Luke's on Saturday night. We attended Easter Sunday church with her and then had an Easter lunch together as a family at the Haley House. It was like home away from home! We enjoyed sitting in the living room and also on the back porch visiting and getting caught up. Our daughter loves when we come to visit her. The Haley House is located just minutes away from the Baylor campus. I would highly recommend staying at the Haley House instead of a hotel. The price is not much different than a hotel but you get an entire house with a back yard instead of just a room!

We were so pleased with the inside of this home here in Waco! Lots of comfortable bedding, nice decor, fully loaded with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Doggie approved! Our little Yorkie can have anxiety when we leave him and he felt so at peace, he did not even cry when we had to leave him! Our Bailey loved the back yard!
We loved sitting out there watching him play. We have 3 teenage children and they loved the free Wifi. I would recommend this place. Quiet neighborhood. We plan to stay here again, hopefully soon. We have 1 child heading to Baylor this year and 2 more to follow!

      An absolute delight!

Left on 04/04/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Four of us came for a special relatives birthday. The Haley house is delightful. We were a bit apprehensive when coming down the side street, as there are a few run down homes. However, do not be worried. The area is quiet and safe, yet close to everything. We took a walk around the stadium every morning. Yes, the stadium is right behind, but there is a little creek running behind the house, and the backyard is private with the trees. We enjoyed morning coffee sitting on comfy chairs outside. If you forgot anything, you will probably find it at the house for your use. The Haley's have thought of everything. We were surprised that there were even decaf coffee beans at the coffee bar. Everything is done first class; the towels, linens, appliances, etc. The home is immaculate. We settled happily in for four days feeling right at home. You will not be disappointed! Well, maybe on your next home rental, when you compare it to this one! You will feel blessed by staying here. The owners are responsive to your needs and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. Thank you, John and Kathy!

      What a find!

Left on 01/25/2012 for a stay in December 2011

As a native Wacoan, I was thrilled to find a house to rent in Waco, in a great neighborhood and with the warmest, kindest landlord (Kathy) and caretaker(Bianca) ever!
From the first moment I spoke to Kathy through the prolonged end of our stay, I felt like I was dealing with a friend rather than some business transaction with someone i have yet to meet.
When we arrived and saw the welcome basket of dog goodies, I knew I had found a gem! And our somewhat skittish dog, Zappa, agreed. Great energy!
The house is the perfect size for everything we needed from entertaining family to hosting my brother and his wife for an evening. The kitchen was a joy for two cooks, the fenced backyard perfect for our dog and the gas fireplace a real treat to sit by and relax. Kathy and john have also done an excellent job in transforming a 1950's house into a contemporary abode outfitted with comfortable antiques.
Though I grew up in Waco, I am not that familiar with the area by the Baylor Stadium. It was perfect for dog walks and exploring a different area: safe and very easy access without traffic or city noise.

There just are not many good places to stay when you travel with your dogs. This one was great and we even laughed at amos, the dog, when he would not walk on the shiny wood floors because they were too shiny for him. But he loved the back yard. We invited our son and daughter in law from China Spring to see the lovely decor and she explained the rain stick to me--learn something new everyday from the youngsters. Thanks again, Kathy

      A Memorable Welcome Home

Left on 07/26/2011 for a stay in July 2011

My husband was due back from a deployment and I was having a very difficult time finding a place for our family to stay. We were living out-of-state, so I needed to travel last minute with two little children. One of my children has food allergies, so we could not stay in a regular hotel room and just eat fast food. I found the Haley House, and it was the perfect solution! I had a place to cook for my little one, the children had plenty of room to play inside and out, and it was so relaxing to be in a home rather than a hotel room as our family reunited.
Kathy was so helpful in making sure we had everything that we could possibly need. When my husband's flight was delayed several days, she kindly extended our reservation so that our family could enjoy extra time together. Bianca, the property manager, had the house exceptionally clean upon check-in and was quick to help with any need that arose.
The house was beautifully decorated, yet extremely comfortable. I was also relieved that it was conveniently located nearby a Wal-Mart, a grocery store, and plenty of restaurants. Yet, the neighborhood was very quiet and away from the busy roads. We had such a fantastic time and I will always remember our stay at the Haley House as a true blessing from God! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

Left on 04/24/2011 for a stay in April 2011

The Haley House was hands down the best possible experience we could have asked for in a vacation rental. Kathy was very gracious when setting up the rental, offering to help us navigate Waco and anything else we needed. The house itself was out of a storybook. So clean, cozy and relaxinig. Kitchen was well stocked and back yard was nicely maintained with a great bbq grill. Everything from the beds to the towels were immaculate. We came to Waco for an Xterra triathlon (off road triathlon). Normally pre race nerves make it hard to sleep, but we were so comfortable that we slept in, and had we not set a backup alarm would have been late for the race! Very cozy! Highly recommend!

This house was all anyone could ask for to rent. Everything was provided (except salt & pepper ;-)) The only thing that made us uncomfortable was all the glass and antiques because we are both quite big & tall and didn't want to break anything.
Other than that it was so nice to have a "home" to go to at the end of a day of touristy playing and visiting our kids & grandkids.
I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Left on 10/26/2010 for a stay in October 2010

The Haley House was a perfect place for our family (including our little dog) to stay while visiting our son at Baylor over homecoming weekend! The location was great - we just walked to the football stadium - and the setting was peaceful. Loved the 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, fully equipped kitchen, doggie door leading to fenced yard, trees, creek, parking, Wi-Fi, and all the amenities of home (plus more!). Anything you think you might want --- they either already provide it for you or will do their best to arrange it for you. The home was spotless & fresh, fully renovated and filled with antiques. You'd never think it was a "rental" because of the personal decor, plush bedding & towels, and attention to detail. Comparable to a hotel room in price, but incomparable in every other way.

      so clean so comfy

Left on 09/01/2010 for a stay in August 2010

      Hi Kathy,

I am here and the house is amazing. I had just the most awful travel day sunday and was frazzeled and just really upset...but as soon as I got here I knew I was safe and the bad stuff was over. I am a clean freak and always re-clean when I arrive at a place but that was not necesary...clearly, you have a gem in Bianca:)
...I miss my husband, and chihuahuas and horses: I do have Casey with me and the trip was so hard on her...but she seems to like your house as well...the fenced yard is a comfort to know she is safe out there.

I love your personal touches in the home...the bed is a comfy and welcome haven from all the stresses of the day:)

      Thanks Much.

      Susan

Precious house - great proximity to Baylor Track & Field

Left on 08/12/2010 for a stay in August 2010

We stayed at this house with our two kids for one night. The pictures do not do this house justice. It has been carefully restored & remodeled. There are many details that we all noticied & enjoyed. The backyard had a small patio and barbeque, so we cooked out and made ourselves at home. There is a precious coffee bar in the kitchen. The linens were obviously new and no expense was spared on the towels and sheets. I would recommend this house to anyone - serves as a great retreat. We were in town attending a track meet at Baylor, and we walked to the event. We could not have been more pleased with the Haley House.

A Harbor in the Time of the Storm

Left on 08/08/2010 for a stay in August 2010

We recently traveled to Waco to move our oldest son to the area to attent Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University. This has been a very difficult transition for our family as Waco is 1,000 miles away from our home. When we would return from our days to the Hayley home, the peace and comfort of this home spoke to our weary hearts. There was total contentment here. The home itself is beautifully decorated, mixing the old with the modern in an extremely wonderful manner. The home was spotlessly clean and will be our home away from home for the time our son is in Waco. If you are looking for a place to rest in the peace that only God can bring, this is the place for you. Our family has rented condos in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Myrtle Beach, SC. This home surpasses them all!

The Haley House - sweet home near Baylor

Left on 07/30/2010 for a stay in July 2010

I work for the Waco Convention & Visitors Bureau, and as part of my duties, I personally tour each new lodging property. I toured the new Haley House in July, and am happy to report that it is really beautiful. It's just off Valley Mills Drive, in the shadow of Baylor's Floyd Casey Stadium, the football stadium. The house is located on a residential street and backs up to Waco Creek. Just beyond is the stadium. The house has been completely redone inside, with burnished wood floors, new cabinets, and bathrooms with modern and stylish fixtures. They are pet friendly and even supply clean old towels for your pet's use. There is a nice fenced backyard with a patio. Antiques throughout and a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook meals if you choose. All in all, a very comfortable home in the middle of everything in Waco.

Great for my family and pets...

Left on 07/26/2010 for a stay in June 2010

Haley House of Waco was great for my family and two dogs! It is conveniently located near the Heart of Texas Equestrian Facility and near all the restaurants and stores we frequent. The house has recently been remodeled and is precious. It is very comfortable and was perfect for our needs. Next time we are in Waco we will definitely stay again.
