One step and you are on sand! We are a small family, with one 9 yo child and could not have asked for a better unit or location for our stay in Hawaii. After staying in hotels in Waikiki and North Shore, the unit was a welcome break and gave us a sense of 'home' with all the kitchen and laundry amenities. We had great weather for 2 days and then some rain / overcast for the other two. The beach is beautiful but waves quite rough for kids (we stayed in winter so not sure how it is in summer). There is 24 our security / caretaker on site which added a sense of safety. We didnt feel unsafe even with the direct access to / from the beach. Owners have left some beach items in the lanai cupboard which were very useful. This was a fantastic place for us away from the noise at Waikiki and we felt very well rested living in paradise.

We loved unit 1501! The view was excellent! It wasn't near the beach, it was right on the beach. The lanai was my favorite place. It overlooked the almost empty beach. I would find myself out ther at two in the morning just starring at a huge moon. Durring the day we saw schools of fish, predatory fish going through said school, turtles, manta rays, and a dolphin. When snorkeling we saw, a sea turtle, and many fish, sea cucumbers, and enenamie (excuse the spelling, third grade was the hardest three years of my life).
This is not in a touristy part of Oahu.this is probably why the beach is empty most of the time. My wife and I would take a walk on the beach at 7 am and we'd be all alone. One morning I saw a couple of manta rays and swam just past the surf and almost touched one. Another day I went snorkeling and saw a turtle. I didn't touch it, because that would be illegal. Who am I kidding?
Spent an awesome day at Peral Harbor but found myself wanting to get back to the Hawiian Princess, and away from the big crowds. Tried pokey for the cfirst time, loved it! There is a military base (very small) near by that has a club that is open to the public and on a nice bay.One day we drove a couple of miles north to the end of the freeway then hiked north to the point/reserve, about three and a half miles each way, the coast was breath taking and I spotted a very big seal there.
Easily one of our most favorite places ever.
The Hawiian Princess is not five star, but it is comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Hawiian lady in the timeshare office was vary helpful. I loved being away from the crowds and felt like a millionaire when we walked on the beach alone. The rooms are well equipped and were well maintained. The property is very well secured with gates at every entrance. -

We stayed in this condo for 8 days, and we were very impressed, not only for the nice ammenities provided, and the cleanliness of the condo, but also because of the immediate access to paradise! 2 steps from the condo and you're on an amazing beach with beautiful surf (note: surf is too big for small children, but is great fun for the adults). There were no more than 25 people on a 2 km stretch of private beach guarded at each end by rocky outcrops. It was a bit of a drive to places like Ewa beach and Waikiki, but it was worth it for the privacy and being able to spend quality time with just the two of us and our toddler son. I would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a quiet, slow-pace vacation out of the way of the tourist flow. Thanks so much for a great stay, we hope to visit again.

fort collins, coloradoReally nice place but dirty!

We have stayed in this unit twice now. It was very nice and clean the first time. However, this last time we stayed my husband was staying a bit longer so we had the cleaning service come half way through. When he first arrived the cleaning was ok. We paid extra to get her to come half way through. She did an ok job with the floors and the kitchen counters. She tried to clean out the freezer and made it worse(my husband had to work hard to get it open), the ceiling had big cobwebs all over and the ceiling vents had so much dust in them that air couldnt even get through. I would recommend to stay if it was cleaner!

Lagrange, OHPerfect place for our engagement!
Left on 11/16/2011 for a stay in October 2011
My fiance' and I stayed here in early October and were absolutely delighted. We stayed 5 days and everything was just right. The view is priceless, I looked out the sliding glass doors all day long. Amazing sunsets and breathtaking sunrises are an every day occurrence. There is a little palm tree right off of the Lanai that adds the perfect touch to the view and is really nice to sit underneath if you get there early. The condo has everything you need in the kitchen (even spices and many condiments) linens, towels (some sunscreen and soap/shampoo in bathroom) , wireless internet, etc... We slept very well in the nice and dark bedroom in a very comfortable bed. The parking lot is gated and even has a lime tree in it for your coronas! The staff even helped me plan the surprise beach engagement!
Cons: The surrounding area isn't very "touristy" which we liked but it is a little run down and doesn't have much to do in the way of food or entertainment. There is a town about 15 minutes away; Ko'Olina which has everything you need. The drive to just about anything is somewhat long. It takes 50 minutes to get to Pearl Harbor and at least 40 to get to most places.
All in all, we were very pleased with the property, staff, view, condo and everything. I highly recommend this condo to anyone who doesn't have too many people and wants a very nice place for a great price. -

We had an amazing time! The condo was perfect and the location... Omg! It was exactly what we dreamed of. Directly on the beach. And a great and quiet beach!!
The waves are the best, the kids played in the water for hours, the site with the mountain just aside is breathtaking... Every morning, we would open the patio door and go for a walk on the beach as the sun rises. It was sooo relaxing.
Both kids and my husband and myself will remember this trip forever, and are still trying to figure out when we can go again. And that condo is where we will stay, for sure. -

Left on 11/16/2011 for a stay in October 2011
This unit exceeded our expectations. Quality cookware, linens and towels. Plenty of play toys & towels for the beach. Snorkeling was great - sea turtles and many varieties of fish. Sunsets were beautiful. Beach was not crowded. It was nice sitting on the lanai and enjoy listening to the waves.
