The positives: the location of the bldg.and view from the lanai are wonderful. New furniture on the lanai, kitchen updated and king mattress very comfortable. Mgmt personnel were eager to please. Large frig and ceramic top stove.
The negatives: The supplies in the kitchen could have been better for a longer stay. There were only 3 drinking glasses; the utensils for cooking were cheap and plastic only. You really need a metal spatula and tongs if you're going to use the BBQ. No broiler pan for the oven. There is no eating table and chairs so when you use the counter, you're view is the kitchen cupboards. Half the bdrm cupboard is used for the owner and the other half is partly shelved so the room to hang clothes for 3 adults was quite small. The TV channels avail were minimal and without a lot of good selection - and there was no cable remote included. Only one lamp in the living area. On looking at other units in the same bldg for the same price, I would shop around next time.Response from KoKo Resorts - 03/28/2012

We apologize that the supplies in the kitchen were not to your liking. We stock dishes for 6 people in all of our condo suites and would have been very happy to supply additional supplies if you would have let us know that there was a problem. We do have metal spatulas and tongs available for use in our office, but do not keep them in the units as they are often misused and cause damage to the cooking wares.
This condo suite does have a large full sized bar with granite countertop for dining as shown in our photos. You are correct that the units with bars do not have tables as the condos would not fit both. Koko Resort manages over 100 condo suites in the Waikiki Banyan and has units with tables if you prefer.
The cable system includes the local television stations and many of the most common cable channels. There are no pay movie channels as the cable is controlled by the building management and we do not have the option to upgrade at this time. Koko Resorts provides FREE Wi-Fi and FREE parking which is not standard in most units.
I have personally been in over 150 units in the Waikiki Banyan and I can personally attest to the fact that this is one of the nicest units available at any price. -

Good for family, nice and close to the beach, just a block away. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen had most supplies except we needed a larger frying pan to cook with. Laundry right down the hall.

We really enjoyed our stay. We have 2 little ones and the room really met all of our needs. Easy access to the beach/Waikiki. The kids loved the play area/pool on the 6th floor. The laundry room right across the hall really helped us pack less and the kitchen/nice coffee maker really saved us some money. I would highly recommend this unit; the view was awesome from the lanai of the beach and mountains. Looking forward to our next visit!

My two friends rented 2112 in Tower 1. The bed was so comfy!!! We enjoyed the space a lot and had a great time. We'd totally stay again. The location was right by the beach and close to lots of places to eat.
As for activities:
DO NOT TRY to GO PARASAILING WITH Diamond head/Triple A parasailing. They were absolute jerks. They took my credit card, they did not pick us up, they charged my card anyway even though we did not even go with them. THEY ARE TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS!!
Instead, go to the beach, don't waste your money, they seem to really hate tourists and/or think you have lots of money to just throw away on touristy things.

We stayed at the Banyan for 15 nights (family of 5) and really enoyed our stay. We were on the 21st floor and found the condo to be quiet and spacious and clean. Any questions/ issues we had on the first day were quickly resolved. Appreciated quick, easy access to the pool, parking, beach, laundry etc. The KoKo resort staff were friendly and we liked that we had daily access to beach toys - boogie boards, surf board, etc. The concierge desk staff was equally as helpful and gave us some great tips about where & when to visit different tourist attractions around the island. Overall a very good experience.

It was a nice stay, however it is more of a family atmosphere. There were so many kids at the pool daily, that there wasnt really space to get in, including the hot tub. we stayed 5 days, and only were able to get into the hot tub once. They close it off very early! :( It was rather noisey and a bit rowdy, but besides that our room was beautiful, we had a great view. Our trip was fun!

This suite was lovely - very clean and comfortable. Superb views of both Waikiki Beach and the mountains at the other side. Well managed - Liz was very helpful in the run up to the trip and the Waikiki Banyan itself was great - 5 minutes from the beach, very close to shops, church etc. The pool and children's playground at the Banyan was great too.
Definitely recommended. -

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, private apartment while on vacation (rather than a hotel with daily maid service) then this is the place to stay. The unit was well stocked with linens and kitchen utensils etc, the location was great, and the rental agent was a perfect gentleman. The laundry room was diagnally across the hall and available when we needed to use it. We would highly recommend this suite and this resort.

We stayed for 5 days - looking for value and a view of the ocean. We got both. The unit presents as the pictures on the internet show. Nice kitchen, nice clean unit, linen and decor. Great view - but not direct - sideways from the balcony.
The complex is in a good location. We felt very comfortable and safe. Quiet end of Waikiki, but close enough to walk to everything. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for good quality but cant afford the high prices of ocean front. The fold out bed in the lounge area was fine for the teenager. -

Location excellent one block away from main stream rush. Accommodation had everything we required and very comfortable and clean.
We enjoyed the friendly staff on arrival the coffee shop excellent,food and coffee fantastic,we hope to return soon our three weeks in Hawii was one holiday to remember and certainly found it very easy to relax,injoy the surf and beaches as part of our routine.Many thanks to KoKo Resorts.

First of all, Honolulu is the perfect destination... absolutely gorgeous. But renting the condo with Koko Resorts was so easy and made our stay at Waikiki Beach just perfect! The location of the Banyan Towers is awesome (as you can see from the pic taken from the balcony). The logistics of renting the condo was a breeze, it was simple, and we felt very much welome and comfortable. The condo was great, clean, modern, and I love that past guests always leave a little something for future guests (maps, some cooking ingredients, canned goods, soaps, beach stuff.....) The next trip I take, I was surely look for this type of accommodation again. And I hope that it will be with Koko Resorts!

We loved Hawaii. Great location. Lobby was beautiful ,love the pond and Koi. The carpet was flithy, dishwasher was broken. Kitchen was nice,great microwave, nice countertop. Blinds and furniture should be updated.

This place was perfect for my family. It had been recently renovated so everything was new and clean. I loved that the unit had a full kitchen; that way we didn't have to eat every single meal in a restaurant. That definitely saved us money!
The location is perfect. When we were looking for a place to stay, we wanted to be as close to Diamond Head as we could afford so this place was perfect. Although it's not right on the beach, we still had a view of the ocean, and it's only a short walk to get there.
The pool was great, and there was a small playground for the kids.
We would definitely stay here again. -

Apartment was recently renovated and the King bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Kitchen was renovated beautifully. Kids loved the pool, tennis and basketball court. Short walk to Waikiki beach, restaurants and shops. Free parking was a great bonus. Equipment provided such as basketball, surfboard, blow up pool mattress etc were much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.
