PennsylvaniaExcellent experience at an excellent condo.
Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in December 2012
This was a very nice condo. It was very well furnished, including 3 TVs, a very nice fully stocked kitchen (all you need is food), etc. It was relatively quiet, with the patio view toward the golf course. A very cost-effective solution for a week's vacation on the big island. I recommend this unit highly. It was the perfect size for our 2-adult and 2-child family.
Abbey Vacation Rentals was also extremely pleasant to deal with. They had everything ready for us when we arrived. I have absolutely no complaints. -

Loved this unit. Everything neat, clean and comfortable. Very well stocked with housekeeping supplies. Perfect beach chairs, towels, cooler, etc. Location was just a short walk/drive to pool and gym and anything else you wanted. Pool was spectacular and bar was a very nice amenity. Location was very convenient to the Island Gourmet and Foodland Farms at Mauna Lani resort shops. Could not have picked a better condo for my family of four.

This is excellent accommodation. Kitchen was well stocked. The only negative was the carpets were filthy. Otherwise it was well maintained and very clean. The location was ok. I prefer to be ocean front but there was no availability at the time. This was a nice compromise. I would stay here again.

Aloha,
And thank you for taking the time to provide us your feedback. Upon reading your review, we did check the unit's carpets. Though we didn't find the condition concern that you cited, we did have the unit's carpet's cleaned just for good measure.
We look forward to having you back as our guests.

Pluses: the abbey Rental booking agent recommended a great property for our two families. This unit has boogie boards, lawn chairs, plenty of lush beach towels, lovely kitchen amenities, dishware, etc. The pool is stunning. Good bathroom Great to have tennis, a grassy space beyond the lanai, and basketball courts too!
Minuses: very little natural light in the kitchen (but cool temperature), an atypically grumpy and gruff woman at Hali'i Kai front office (where is the aloha spirit?), confusion with our Internet password made it impossible to log on for three days(!), and strange that there was no toiletries like shampoo. It would be nice if other food basics like cooking oil were included.
That said, we do recommend this location, this unit, and the property manager.
All worthwhile, despite the minuses. -

Everything was smooth. the place is built for luxury rental. All the necessary items for cooking, going to the beach, relaxing on the veranda, etc. I felt like I was living the high life. The pool and the grounds are so beautiful and fun. Worked everyday and watched whales at the same time. The pool is relaxed and works for adults and kids.

Due to water damage in the original condo in which we were staying, Abby Vactions found us a great condo we could rent for half of our stay and another for the rest. Office staff was did a great job and saved or Hawaii trip. Condo was great, well appointed and in a great area with ocean pool/resturant. We liked it so well we reserved it for next year.

Left on 02/08/2012 for a stay in January 2012
The service was great - easy check-in and check-out. The accomodations were wonderful - very nicely equipped and the whole complex is very well maintained. Did have to call maintenance a couple of times and they were very prompt in taking care of the problem. We are walkers so we loved the location - beautiful places to take in the beautiful scenery. We loved the pool area and the bar and restaurant. We would have preferred to be nearer the pool for convenience. Our only complaint is that for 2 couples, the second bedroom and bath are a bit small.

This property is great. The condo is nicely appointed. We love to cook and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent cookware, grill and spice rack. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas. There were plenty of towels and beautiful fixtures. The pool area is wonderful. We felt very comfortable the entire time!
Only cons - pool is a bit of a walk from the condo. The cleaning service was just OK. -

Morgan Hill CAWe loved the condo and location.
Left on 12/19/2011 for a stay in November 2011
The condo, ammenities, space, condition and location were excellent. The twin beds in the extra room were very small-not really normal size twin beds-my older son is 6'3" and his legs were hanging over a foot off the bed. It would be good to specify this.
The pool area and views were beautiful and the staff at the bar/cafe were very friendly.
The receptionist at the front desk to get pool pass was extremely rude to me and my family and treated us like second class guests since we had not booked through Castle Resorts. Someone should make sure this person is counceled. -

Oakland, CAWonderful Condo!
Left on 11/23/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Great location, super clean, beautiful renovations, good value. We loved staying here and would recommend this place to anyone. The condo is located right on a golf course with a very nice shaded morning view. Breakfasts were fantastic on the patio - I could even see blue ocean off in the distance. We had 4 adults and a baby with plenty of space. About a 5 minute walk from the pool / oceanfront (beautiful by the way, best condo pool I've ever been in), but this was no big deal - I mean really, you're in Hawaii so enjoy the walk!
Our only complaint was that the thermostat was a bit jacked. It wasn't reading the temperature correctly, so the a/C kept turning on at strange hours. I'm sure operations will fix this minor glitch.Response from Abbey Vacation Rentals - 11/26/2011
