We love staying here! Our friends and family felt so at home - the house is immaculate, has all the comforts of home but with the most amazing views! All high end appliances if you choose to cook(we made coffee :)) and beautifully furnished. We loved sitting outside at the very large balcony and playing cards and drinking wine. The house is maybe a 200 yards from the beach club and "A" bay. We had access to the beach via our complex and also via the Marriott right next door where we would usually have an after dinner drink before returning home.
There is great dining close by so you have lots of options for meals. And some shopping for gifts and what not...
We are already planning a return trip end of this year!!! -

I stayed here with my family in January 2013. (2 adults and 3 kids). We were very pleased with the accommodations. First of all the location is perfect- in Waikaloa- walking distance to the beach, shopping, restaurants, other resorts. Kolea has a nice private pool and kiddie pool overlooking the ovean. As soon as we walked to the beach we saw turtles on day one. The unit itself was clean, spacious, and well appointed. All the amenities you can imagine. Nice patio with partial ocean view. Only negative is the wi-fi was not password protected and so kept dropping. (Please put a password on the wi-fi :) )

Great location, immaculate grounds, interior of the condo, appliances and loved the grill/fridge on the lanai. 10-20 minute drive to great beaches for snorkeling, sup and surfing. Nice walking/jogging paths. My family will definitely return to Kolea when we go back to the west side of the Big Island.

We are glad you had a great time at Kolea 14E, and we will check to make sure that a can opener is purchased for the unit. Due to the high humidity here in the tropics, condiments such as salt and pepper don't "age" well which is why we don't keep them in the unit.

It was eveything advertised and more. The place was clean, comfortable, and luxurious. We fell in love with the kitchen (!!)and the appliances and pots/pans looked new... It was conveniently located and abbey personnel were always available via phone. Would definitely recommend it.

We have stayed in 3 other condos in this complex on previous occasions. Nothing compares to the service we receive from abbey Vacation - they always contact us shortly after check in to see if everything is in order and are quick to have any problems solved. We are looking forward to further vacations at this complex.

This was a trip celebrating my 65th birthday. The experience was all that I dreamed it would be. The condo was lovely. The lanai was wonderful - great to sip Kona coffee there in the mornings - and nice for drinks in the evening. We loved the location and the rental was easy with great follow-up from rental agency.

The complex and the unit exceeded our expectations. It was a very comfortable place for us to hang out and so close to pool and beach and shops. We loved it and hope to return.

This is the second time we have stayed in 14E. The first time was 4 years ago and it still looks shinny and new! We love the location as it is so close to the Ocean, Shops and Golf. The bed is wonderfully comfortable and the bath tub awesome! We were able to see turtles on the beach and Whales out in the Ocean. Love it! If I had one thing I would like to see updated it would be the cable provider. Certain programming was not available in this unit. Some nights you just like to curl up with your favorite program. We'll be back.

We stayed at Kolea for the first time and it was awesome. Waikoloa is a superb location and Kolea is on the ocean, walking distance to the shops and restaraunts and only 20 minutes from the airport. We didn't require the rental company for anything and the only suggestions would be to service the dishwasher and upgrade on the hand soap and the scant supplies at the condo.

Aloha, and thank you for your feedback. We have had a service person take a look at the dishwasher. Whenever you are with us, if you find something of this nature making a noise, please let us know and we can have it taken care of immediately.
As described in our arrival instructions sent to you prior to your arrival, we provide a set of amenities, a "starter kit", for your arrival, so that you and your party will have ample supplies of laundry detergent, paper towels, etc., until you get to the store to purchase your favorite brands of goods. This starter kit will not last the entire length of an extended stay.

Kolea unit 14E was a great place to stay for the week. We have been in many, many condo units in the islands and this one was tops out of all. New, clean, well fittted out. The direct beach access puts it above the other complexes nearby.

Rented 14E for 10 days. Loved the condo. Tips to make the experience better. 1, explain about the key before you check in. Once I knew about how it worked it was fine but the first time or two it was puzzling and frustrating. 2, Explain about the lighting sytem and the buttons. Perhaps in your explanation booklet. 3. tips about how to adjust and set the AC. That's it. we had a great time and look forward to coming back.
