Additional Location Information
Our vacation rental studio is located in a residential area in Waikoloa Village, approximately 6 - 10 miles from the Kohala Coast resort areas and some of the best beaches on the island for snorkeling, swimming, frolicking in year-round warm water, shell hunting, not to mention resort hopping, shopping, music, Hawaiian cultural sites, entertainment, excellent restaurants and more!
Waikoloa Village is a sleepy little community consisting mostly of permanent residences, snow birds and vacationers. It is centrally located on the island so that you can easily manage day trips from this location. It also has the majority of necessary commercial amenities such a nicely appointed grocery store (Waikoloa Village Market), a gas station, US post office, Waikoloa Mail Boxes, real estate office or two, doctor, dentist, acupuncturist and naturopathic offices, baby equipment/beach gear rental store, 2 restaurants that serve breakfast and coffee drinks, 2 restaurants that serve lunch and dinner and 1 bar & grill on the golf course and that is about it until you drive down the hill to the beaches or resort areas.

I stayed at this studio for 9 days and loved it! The owners have a very good attention to detail and to what is needed for the comforts of a tourist. I appreciated that the kitchen, living space and bed were furnished with the same level of quality as my home. The neighborhood is very quiet and the location was perfect for me because I went to the resort beaches every day. I've stayed at several Vrbo's in the past and this was my favorite. I hope to have a chance to stay here again.

TIGARD OregonA real value on the Big Island.
Left on 02/11/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We just returned from a wonderful week of staying at Jennifer and Tom's delightful studio in Waikoloa Village. It was as lovely and charming as all the photos. The panoramic views from the property and special designated lanai area for studio guests were fantastic. We enjoyed several sunsets that were absolutely gorgeous. I have very high standards for cleanliness and this charming, very comfortable studio was sparkling clean. The thoughtfulness of what a vacation renters needs might be was outstanding in furnishing the studio. Now if all the above mentioned attributes weren't enough, the frosting on the cake was to have such pleasant and enjoyable people as Jennifer and Tom to welcome you and give you any information about the Big Island that you might like to know such as where good snorkeling spots are, great places to eat out, and special adventures. They are such warm and interesting people.
This trip was the third time to stay on the Big Island for us. We had previously stayed at resorts near Kona. Staying in Waikoloa Village was very enjoyable. It was nice to have the quiet and privacy of staying in a residential area. We thought the beaches in the Waikoloa area were really beautiful. Day trips to anywhere on the island were easily accessible. Would we want to return for another stay? Absolutely and we hope to someday.
