We just returned from our week long stay in Maui and we honestly had the best vacation ever. We stayed at the 11E unit in the Ekahi complex and were thrilled with the condo and the property itself. The Pauli's have the condo kept in beautiful condition and fully stocked: coolers, beach bags, beach umbrellas, beach toys, sandwich baggies, cooking ware. I could go on and on! It really is incredible how functional their condo is for a rental property.
Beyond that, it's so nicely appointed my husband, myself and our 12 month old son immediately felt right at home. Our son even slept through the night every night, which never happens on vacation. We ate breakfast and dinner on the lanai every day enjoying panoramic views of the ocean and had lunch down at the common pavillion, only a short 3-5 minute walk away. I can't recommend this unit enough! Also, working with Matt was very easy. He shared wonderful information/resources and was reasonable with any requests we had.
Book your vacation and stay in 11E! You won't regret it. -

I have been all over the world and can I say we found a beautiful spot in paradise in Maui. Our condo 11E Ekahi was like being in a 5 star hotel. The Pauli family thought of everything you would need in the condo and outside to enjoy your stay. We sat out on the Lanai every meal to enjoy the breath taking views. We have never done a turn key rental before but Matt and Bonnie made the experience a breeze. Answered all our questions and more. This family goes the extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful stay. This condo and Ekahi location is by far the quietest and most beautiful in Maui. I would highly recommend dealing with the Pauli family and using their condo's. Maholo

The view is amazing, the furnishings, the layout, the high tech media equipment and appliances are the best! This is the "perfect storm" of a Maui condo. We would rent this condo every year, if it was available.

Thanks to the Pauli family for another wonderful vacation. This is our third stay at 11E. Previously we rented a different condo from the Paulis.
The condo is perfect. Bonnie is always making improvements. This time we were pleased by the new carpet and new bed linens. Always improvements are being made!!
The location of the condo can't be beat!! The views from the lanai (where we enjoy breakfast and dinner every day), the wonderful pool behind building 11, and the close proximity to the beach and main pool --- wow!! We wouldn't ever entertain the notion of staying anywhere else.
Thanks again...we'll be back in 2014.

This was our 3rd time staying at the Ekahi resort. We have always gotton great condos to stay in. Of course we always research and read reviews to find the best. Staying at your condo was great. It was clean, which is the most important thing to us when staying in a rented place. Your condo was open and had a Great view from the patio. The Ekahi resort has great pools, and its walking distance to the ocean which is also very nice. Snorkling is also walking distance from Ekahi. Overall everything was great. The only bad thing was we couldnt stay longer...

We stayed in 11E at the beginning of May. Our expectations were high based on the photos and virtual tour of the unit on the Pauli's web site. The reality far exceeded our expectations. The availability calendar for 11E is booked solid for good reason. The condo retains the feeling of a fresh renovation. It's a very elegant unit and feels large and bright with the vaulted ceiling in the living area. The lanai includes comfortable furniture and an incredible panoramic view. 11E is just a short walk from the main pool and the beach. There is actually a very quiet pool just outside the condo. All the beach gear you need is provided. Our trip was all about relaxation and 11E is the perfect setting for that purpose. Matt and Bonnie Pauli were wonderful to work. We are already looking at the calendar for 2011 to reserve another stay at 11E.

Thanks again for a marvelous vacation. This is our third stay at Ekahi (1 year at 32D and 2 years at 11E). We can't imagine staying any place else. Wailea Ekahi is the perfect vacation spot for us! And the Pauli's apartment is perfect.
If we had to make any constructive criticism I might mention just a few things ---
1. The carpets seemed a little dirty.
2. The bedding seemed to be a little "tired" (spot on
blanket, sheets a little thin, etc.)
But this is no big deal. The apartment is clean and the furnishings and appointments are wonderful!
Thanks again...hope to return in May '11.

I've responded privately to this renter but did want you all to know that we work hard to insure the condo is in prime condition for each guest. Carpets are cleaned on a 6-9 week schedule and spotted in between unless needed more often. With back to back rentals, it is not always possible to do a full carpet clean (drying issues). Our bedding is of the highest quality and replaced every year unless needed more often. We use 450 count egyptian cotten sheets. Many don't know that the higher the count and tighter the weave the less a sheet will breath. In Maui's hot climate, we feel the 450# count is best. - Our staff has been with us for years and are great - but even they can miss a spot so we have let them know about the blanket.

This was the second stay in this particular unit and we couldn't have been more pleased. This unit is so beautiful in every way -- the furnishings, the view, all of the accessories available for a fantastic day at the beach, the cookware etc. We truly enjoyed spending time sitting out on the lanai each morning and each evening. Again, the views are stunning. This unit has pride of ownership and having stayed in other units in the vicinity, this is truly a gem.

11E is breathtaking from the minute you walk in to this amazing Condo. Views from the West Maui Mountains to Molikini are prefect! The condo has everything you need to be right at home as you walk in the front door. Wonderfully equipped, quiet, peaceful and Tropical! The remodel and layout are great! This one bedroom has the best 2nd sleeping area for kids or a 3rd adult. Not out in the living room on a sofa sleeper – but two Murphy style bunk beds in their own private area with their own closet and full bath. 11E is a short (3 minute) walk down to the main pool and beach, yet has the amazing “Maui” and ocean views that I love! We loved it and will certainly be back again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo felt open and spacious, with a beautiful ocean view. It was clean, quiet and super well-equipped. The location was very convenient, ~3 min walk through the complex to the Keawakapu beach. Great value compared to the resort hotels in the area.

We stayed at The Pauli Family Condo 11E and were very happy with everything about the place. Besides the great location with an excellent view of the ocean, the place is furnished perfect and remodelled much better than other places we have stayed in Ekahi.
Just as important as the place was our experiance dealing with Matt and Bonnie. We had a minor change of plans that they handled very fairly and were great to deal with.
Being so close to the main pool and the beach was great and having our own private pool next to the unit was perfect for those afternoon naps while our 4 year old was sleeping.
We plan to return as soon as possible. -

Impeccably maintained & tastefully decorated condo. The kitchen was also well-stocked. We enjoyed the panoramic view from the lanai. Our kids loved sleeping in the Murphy bunk beds. What a great space-saving idea! Also, good body-surfing beach. We even spied a large turtle one evening. The only small thing we would change is having to use a key for the bathroom next to the pool and the gate out to the beach. We would definitely recommend!!

What a wonderful location and setting, in a tropical garden close to the beach! Matt and Bonnie have done wonderful work in decorating and outfitting their home in Wailea. Everything you might need to make for a comfortable stay is there. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet, watching the sunsets from the deck, early morning walks from our door to the beach in minutes, and relaxing around the pool.
When we return to Wailea in 2011, we will call Matt and Bonnie; no need to look elsewhere.

This is a five star condo with everything you could possibly want or need! The location is absolutely beautiful with a 180* view of the ocean from the lanai. We barbequed dinner several nights and ate on the lanai. Short walk through the complex to an uncrowded beach with fantastic snorkeling just south of the condos. Felt like we had the beaches all to ourself on many occasions. Can't get any better than this! Highly recommend! The Pauli family is a pleasure to work with and they provide information and top notch service! Hope to be back soon. This was our second visit to Maui staying at their properties. Mahalo! Condo was in perfect condition. Loved the view (the main lawn, the mountains and the ocean) and the picture window added so much. Even indoors, we still had that view! Also, being on the second floor is the way to go. Location is perfect. Not too far down so that a trip into Kihei becomes an all day affair. Hard to say that we liked something the least on Maui but it would be nice if the grounds crew could start at 9:00am instead of 8:00am.

Nothing is easy on Maui - it took us 3 weeks to get the right parts to the island but the water in the showers is now hot again!!
Frank and I arrived right after this guest and I have to confirm, our showers (just 3 year old Grohe high end valves) were only luke warm. A big change from our normal temperature. The weather was hot so it wasn't too bad but still not acceptable. We are glad we were alerted so we could get the plumber quickly.
Unfortunately Maui is an island in the middle of the pacific and though our staff and repair folks were great and on the ball.. The first order for parts to the mainland arrived express delivery minus 2 key parts. The second request from a different supplier - also with express paid for - arrived 2 weeks later. It took us over 3 weeks and about $900 to get these showers repaired but they are now giving water as hot as even Frank can stand (he prefers a car wash to a shower...)
We strive to be responsive to our guests, after all, this is our Maui home and we want it right too so we do encourage guests to contact our staff if they should find something not working the way they think it should. Many thanks for letting us know - we sent our staff right away and didn't realize the problem persisted until finding the note at the end of this stay.
